[Music] this is sister mary jo who is going to throw out the first pitch but with a little added extra look at her a pretty good job of it throws it in the zone fit on the pitch there because she wanted to show her impressive movement and she's and now ladies and gentlemen please welcome to the mound houston native and olympic champion simone biles [Music] there's your first pitch and then some from simone biles give david ortiz and a huge ovation went up and david of course caught the ceremonial first pitch and we're gonna be talking with ali a little bit later a terrific moment here and she got a great ovation not surprising at all she's going to put the metals around that was great stuff [Music] the villas both throughout the first pitch today as adriana's dealing with leukemia she's doing very well in her recovery and her dad told me earlier he said when she first came down with leukemia he promised her that he would allow her to throw out the first pitch before a game this season well today he felt like hey san jose i'm telling her all right just chill out just wait here it comes [Music] courageous little moments of the year remember the scene carlos gomez and a young fan her name is jordan heinem from fort atkinson and she lost it just meeting carlos gomez broker and check her out nice perfect strike what an arm so the brewers doing great work making a brewers fan dream come true here and after the home run gomez gave her a wave and falls off the green monster the participants that we talked to so they have a new appreciation for how hard the players work and their favorite part of the day meeting brock colt and mike napoli dawn steve they had us working pretty hard today i'm going to be really sore tomorrow i guess so wow fans have a good time at decay as always you know but whenever baseball is going to the stance they're excited to get one okay now guess what happens next does she get the ball or not being himself anymore he doesn't feel like he has so much to prove guys well that's really a good attitude to have and he's got a world series ring with the giants he's got a hit in the world series with the giants oh easy oh that much that was fun gamer babes you gotta love them come on what's going on andre not who has a special guest with him thanks guys i wanted to say because i wanted to throw out the first pitch in the game since i remember starting playing baseball which was i was about like six years old so what pitch did you throw and how fun was it to be out there in front of this crowd it was really fun i've never been in front of so many people before in just a couple of moments we think back to those horrible days and how strong everybody was boston strong from that day forward just incredible adrian haslam well wonderful for adrian and all of us here at fenway park and clay buckholds catching the ceremonial first pit [Applause] birthday at any age as it is fouled out of play oh it's a great moment here for ben that's great pitcher for durant high school in plant city that's right she plays with the boys joe maddon met her last week invited her to come on out she is now the youngest woman to ever voice since she was five years old told me she decided to stick with it when she realized she was better so maybe he's leaving men on base who are scoring later she would know i don't know my dances i'm not going to try to say i do but i don't think there is any stretching involved yeah yeah that's good stuff she had attitude look yeah you gotta get a little a little bit cockier there grounded foul take down the right field line foul nice catch down there by the ball girl oh she knew what she was doing both ears are safely covered and she got that big outfield glove and the event to raise money for the o'connor foundation in the left marte a long run and will you wonder if he slowed down because of the ball girl so he has to back off oh that's that cannot yeah and he rips it foul out in front that's a nice play and those ball girls are very talented it's the first step that impressive yeah smile why not guy who was out of the game of baseball that is foul a rocket off the bat of hayward and a nice play down the right field line by a young lady with a glove bullet a heck of a play off to carom matsik 19 pitches 14 strikes first inning zimmerman out ahead of it and he hooks it foul nice play on a hop nice pick give it to a kid on a hop look it into your glove guy 2-2 to kemp and he reaches out lines that one to laughter what a snag by the bunker nice my favorite part the nonchalant handing of the ball to the kid young lead two balls two strikes [Applause] again how about olivia bearham huh on the way to saunders and knocked foul a terrific play man there's plays everywhere makes it look easy 3-1 lying down the line foul good fundamental baseball makes the play yup gives it to the kid right on target great play you know shot over the first base bag and that's fair ball what is her ball girl doing she's trying to get out of the way i think she started running after the ball it looked like she was going after it carrying her chair i'm going to give her the get it all the way too beautiful that's it done she had to elevate for this one two hands yeah good play and she was able to keep her helmet on this is going to be a foul ball let's grab barehanded wow pretty good play right there yes bay handed right into and rips it fair ball right over the bag oh no the ball girl played it it was a fair ball it'll be a ground rule double [Applause] mccutcheon holes freeze lines one down the right field line foul and the ball girl makes a catch and that thing was hit oh and two the count to david freeze sharply hit nicely picked stretching out a little bit like a first space right there to make that play on one hop very nice i thought you were never going to mention that took you long enough oh nice drop out of play down the left field line the ball girl making a leaping attempt but came up a little short if she caught oh she just missed it
