red sox it does the trick doesn't it there's no doubt i mean and that's the that's the idea of pitching two balls two strikes as denver's leads off the third inning and drives this ball to center field sending kieremeyer back with a lead and a grab this is an unbelievable catch live he goes at this wall in the town of that angle leaps catches and i mean that's a double or triple fearmeyer in runs with chris sale on the mound in the first inning you're probably not feeling good about your chances but then your offense goes out and gets 14 runs on 20 hits [Music] there's a drive wheel head out to right field run throw back on it and it's gone and just like that it's two nothing tampa and austin meadows gets the raise on the board first today that's important for the race because they got a young pitcher on the mound that could use some cushion aggressive hitting team against aggressive pitcher rasmussen has been terrific in a starters capacity for the raise kyle schwarber greets him with a high drive toward the monster and that one goes uh so it's going to be one of those days six batters to start the game already two homers the first lead off batter to homer by a boston red way a rosarina sends that into left center field that's got to draw and rule all the way to the wall the rays have tied it or rosarina stumbled on his way to second but still gets in safely with a double go ahead run in scoring position and of course three a new narrative as we head to the bottom half of bending number eight there he goes and strikes out throw down to second base third oh randy's on his way to third where it was vacant pavetta covers the bag and rosarina gets back oh got him with the high gas robertson z01 to shortstop franco backhands it and gets a perfect one off the first he made that play look way too easy got him anyway give him a sec well you didn't need it he is rolling that hammer is heavy tonight tonight in his five at-bats he has runs kiermeier sends a ball into right center field that's trouble and that one's off the base of the wall diaz coming around to score girmeyer to third the rays have taken the lead it's an unbelievable break it's being veterans that that really change the just what they did this year with a new cast of players that is four consecutive strikeouts for rodriguez this one on a filthy change-up pitch to a slider attacks the first pitch hits it a ton straight away center field [Applause] right here in the third from devers now it's sending one towards the monster that ball is off the monster bogarts races home on an rbi double from alex verdugo bringing fenway alive and it's four nothing 3-2 [Applause] his 2-2 pitch got him swinging rounds it to first and that aggressive play by luplow will get them their first run rbi for austin meadows lupron to score and it's a 5-1 game [Applause] cracks it in the air to center field hernandez going back on this one it is gone franco and the rays say not so fast a two-run game on a two-run shot from the kid the one-two bouncing ball to third they go to second one loud of firs it's a double play fairbanks gets him out of the jam and this game moves along to the eighth inning of the year you don't play it that way in the air to right center towards the gap that'll split it back-to-back extra base hits to open the eighth it's a one-run game as kier meyer drives in zanino [Applause] now their fastball is punched through the right side base hit karen meyer hits third and heads home he's got a cannon but the throws up the line the rays have come all the way back and we're tied at five in the eighth randy arose arena with an opposite field base hit three in a row for tampa bay to greet brazier one two pitch renfro pops it into right center field pierre meyer
