Missing “fix position when scrolling” Here's What to do

hello welcome to my channel um I'll show you very quickly how to achieve this where you have your menu um at the top here while you're scrolling through your page it doesn't move it just stays there um I've seen a few designs where oh the menu moves as you scrolling it moves with the parents are designed to emboss just scrolling through the page so if you need to click anything at the menu you have to go back to the top [Music] I'll come back here so before now uh that option used to be done here you will see fix a wash cooling it's it's under the constraint um menu here but I was looking for it yesterday and I couldn't find it so I had to look around figma and I noticed figma has updated it and added a few more options which is very interesting like it's it's very amazing so um I came to prototype so one when you want to do that if you have a project you're working on make sure you select that part you want to keep fixed while scrolling we keep it you select it maybe put it in a frame or group it together whatever I wanted to make sure they are all together so that when you apply that setting it's it's it works with everything you've selected so this is this is a frame I put them all together I group them together sorry um then you come to prototype there's three options now the scroll with parent it's it's it's just self-explanatory like you can look at the name and guess what it does um you can scroll with parents this way so it means you're scrolling everything everything will move the entire design is like the entire design is like the appearance so who is this code pairing you means you're saying let that particular um um menu let it scroll as the parent to school Let It Go With It um that's one option the second option there is fixed in please that means you want it to remain at this part of the design you want it to remain at this particular location you want to remain at this 26 x Azure 41 you want to remain here so what happens is when you scroll here oh sorry working with this design [Music] when you scroll here it just stays at that same point it doesn't move it doesn't move it just is that that scene you can see that there's a little space here which I added to the design by the way so it just stays there then there's a third option um that option is um [Music] the options is sticky stop at top Edge what that means is that when you're scrolling it will stick to the top look at it taste to the topic covered this piece I left there and just automatically sticks to the top it doesn't move it doesn't move um until I come back to the top where I started from so in case you'll be wondering where that option is it's been updated and that is how to do it thank you very much have a nice day [Music]
