Mirage F-1 Dive bombing tutorial

everyone Highline here and welcome back to my channel in this tutorial we will go through how to do dive bombing in the Mirage F1 The Mirage can carry a variety of bombs it can carry the standard Mark 82 and Mark 83s those are American the native sa MP type of bomb from 125 kilograms and up to 400 kilograms when it comes to the s p 250 and 400 you can choose between uh two bombs and Slick bombs in this tutorial I will focus on the low drag bombs or slick bumps and I will take on the shoot retarget bombs in a separate video it needs to be noted that the Beluga is a cluster ammunition and they can also be used in the same way as slick bumps when in terms of delivery it needs to be noted that we can also carry the GPU 16 and gbu-12 however the Mirage is not capable of lacing targets and we need body lacing or a JTAG in order to do that oh I almost forgot you can also drop these pumps the same way as we drop the mark 82s and Sam piece on number four station uh on the center pilot we can attach a little bit more Bang including a rack that can carry up to four bombs so with that out of the way let's uh load this aircraft up and let's head out to the Target area all right everyone now we are in the air and in front of us we have a couple of targets just like we have in uh the rocket tutorial video let's bomb these trucks over here on this aircraft I have attached two times SMP 250 pumps on the autopilot and two times mark 83s on the inner pylons I don't have anything on the center pylon in this tutorial so let's get started on setting up our aircraft this aircraft does not have a bombing computer so that means that we need to set our depression and we need to set our parameters correctly in order to get our bombs on target so let's open up our kneeboard here by pressing right shift NK then scroll through all the checklists here they have it have the bomb tables for the SMP 250s you can also use this for the mark 82s and s p 400s it is that much of a difference I have discovered and when doing bombing I prefer to drop the bombs at roughly 2 000 feet at 500 knots and a dive out of 20 degrees that means we have to set our depression to 115. when doing our dive I like to stay at an altitude of at least 10 000 meters above ground with pressure on above ground so you need to check on the F10 map to see how how what's the altitude of your target is on the top left and as you can see it's 43 feet and we are going to stay at roughly 10 000 feet above above ground have an initial airspeed of about 350 knots and let's try and get 20 degrees of dive okay so let's set up our aircraft here let's set this one to 150. like so now let's uh set up our weapon stations we're going to press palm oil and we are going to drop our Mark 83s first so let's select the import station like so and let's set the fusing to instantaneous and I want to drop them in pair so we're going to leave this one in the download position and of course do not forget to flip the Armament switch like so now let's unpause and let's get going let's turn off the radar I think it's a bit of a bit distracting when doing this what I really love about this aircraft is that we actually have a hot so it's much easier to see our dive angle so we don't have to look down on our Artificial Horizon all the time oh now we're on Ten Thousand let's level out and just like I do with rockets I like to do the attacks fast because just in case someone on the ground gets a neat idea that involves an anti-aircraft gun or a man pad we can turn in now drop a bit let's see how we are lined up there's a little bit of wind from the from the East so I mean from the West okay our dive is pretty good right now slow so let's increase the throttle a bit and remember to trim the aircraft all the time select back on the trouble we're going now going a bit fast okay let's just sponsor now we will soon release our bombs our parameters are quite good our speed is quite good and our dive angle is uh quite good so I think yeah let's see how this goes and pickle and pull up uh hit a bit too far so let's try again now let's uh flip over to the outboard stations oh and by the way in case I did tell you guys if you want to drop all your Ordnance in one go you just select the middle position but let's select the outboard station and let's drop them in single these bumps are 125 I mean 250 kilograms so uh that's equivalent of roughly 500 pounds so they are quite powerful all right let's roll in this aircraft is going to be really uh asymmetrical when we drop one of the Ordnance all right dive is a little bit shallow but not too bad let's increase our speed and trim the aircraft always remember to trim pickle now that was a direct hit I'm really happy with that one as you can see right now the aircraft is really uh asymmetrical because they only have bombs on the outboard pylon of One Wing but that's part of the fun of it next up let's go for this little Warehouse right here see if you can eat it no actually let's go for those tanks over there and as I said earlier the bombing tables in this aircraft that you see on the kneeboard is for the s p 250 however as I said there are not not much practical difference between dropping the smps and the Marquee 82 and 83 83 bumps so you can use them at uh use the same inputs all right let's dive in here a bit steep dive right now not the best parameters now it's quite good going fast or a bit too fast and pickle so as you saw the was quite a good hit but it could have been better and if you are carrying bombs on the fuselage then you just press a bomb fuse like so and you do exactly the same thing you just set this one in the middle and you can choose between a pier or a single and uh and one more thing when you're dropping bombs from 2000 feet be sure that you pull out immediately after uh after you drop your bombs or you will be hit by shrapnel from your arm bombs so with that being said thank you all for watching like And
