serve him because i love him i want to come to his house because i love him amen i believe i'm in a room full of people that love god and i'm glad to be in the house of god i'm glad to be with you in presence of god the worship of the one true living god amen i was glad when they said unto me let us go thank god for dads that look at the children and say let's go to the house of god thank god for mothers that get their children ready and say let's go to the house of the lord let's go to where the healing is at to where the provision is at to where salvation is at amen amen so we welcome you god bless you you can be seated we have had a lot going on we're continuing to pray for the watkins family yesterday we laid to rest zion and we're praying for the family we know that god is working the holy ghost started moving in that funeral yesterday god touched people in that funeral and i'm just believing he's going to keep on touching people and and after a couple of weeks of revival services we had brother parks and brother miles young and brother williams and last tuesday night we baptized a person this morning at 7 30 am we baptized the new person in jesus name before everybody got here before the doors were unlocked we were turning on lights and baptizing people in jesus name ah hey you don't know when it's gonna break out you don't know when it's gonna happen you don't know when it's gonna come to pass the people that do know their god will be strong and they shall do exploits amen and i i could go on and on about what's happening um i need to make a little correction brother jordan we are not going to have a leadership meeting tomorrow night we were going to but folks the schedule has been chalked full where the bible says that the antichrist would wear out the saints of the most high and i don't know i we we just about wore out the saints of the most people have been working we had the the fpc golf tournament on friday and then we had the couple's seminar and fellowship group and the singles went up in the balloons and people went up to kentucky to the ark the teenagers went up to the ark encounter how many enjoyed the arc encounter it's amazing it's amazing what they have put together and and 24-hour prayers going on bus ministry and follow-up i asked bishop godaddy today i said how did you do this but he did it he did it for over 40 years almost 50 years and we're going to keep on doing it we're going to keep on having revival we're going to keep on teaching bible studies we're going to teach on re continue reaching and teaching and reaching the lost and telling somebody about jesus are you thankful for what god's done are you thankful for the presence of the lord are you thankful for every great thing that god has brought to pass hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah amen god has been so good you can remain standing with us amen we are excited about everything and we are having prayer we simply will not have the leadership session um we will continue that the month following there is so much happening and i'm excited to be part of it i'm glad you're part of it praise the lord mark chapter 14. if you've got your bibles let's open to mark chapter 14 and verse 3. praying this morning and seeking after the lord god impressed me with some things this is what the bible says and being in bethany in the house of simon the leper everybody say the house of simon the leper as he sat at meat there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious and she break the box and poured it on his head were some that had indignation within themselves and said why was this waste of the ointment made it might have been sold for more than 300 pence been given to the poor they murmured against her said let her alone why trouble ye her she hath wrought a good work on me for the poor you have the poor with you always and whensoever you will you may do them good but me you have not always she have done what she could she has come a forehand to anoint my body to the burying verily i say unto you wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her today i want to take a few moments i want to share some things that god impressed in my spirit i want to preach to you about ministering in the house of the leper ministering in the house of the leper god bless you you can be seated let me take a little time to set the stage for you this morning i'm i'm preaching this in the context of a world that is very different it is a very different world than what it was 12 months ago 12 months ago last last september the world was a different place now here we are we have come through 2020. we're coming up i guess it's a year and a half since the world radically shifted and i don't know if anybody could have foreseen this time where this is dragging on where where business has been interrupted where people are afraid to come out of their houses and at the same time people are marching in the streets at the same time gun permits are being issued at a a rapidly increasing rate and crime is not being addressed because people are attacking law enforcement in unprecedented ways this is rapidly escalating and you ask ask yourself what in the world is happening around us what's going on it doesn't feel like politicians really know what to do with it anybody get that impression i'll just let you in a little secret they don't they don't know what to do with it they can promise things they can make decisions they can make policy policies they can pass legislation but they can't change a human heart there is only one man that can change a human heart that is jesus christ the answer is not politics it is jesus the answer is jesus it is the holy ghost it is the gospel of jesus christ because while all of those things have happened a lot of good things have happened there's people baptized and full of the holy ghost sitting here today that was not last year there's people being baptized and people that are growing in grace and knowledge and it's happening i'm saying that because we're watching an escalation and it is an escalation of sin it is sin it's not just issues they're not just problems but it is sin the united states ladies and gentlemen has a sin problem modern society has a sin problem and if you don't know that or you don't feel that then this message is for you if you don't see what the big deal is then this message is for you the bible goes to great lengths and i'm going to take my time to walk this out this morning who knows we might wind up swinging from the rafters today but i want to get the information across because the bible is very clear about what happens when men do not call on the name of the lord the bible is very clear of what happens to humanity when people forget god one only needs to go to the days of noah where the bible says of them that the thoughts of their heart were evil continually it means that there was not a time when they weren't thinking of harm thinking of lust thinking of how to how to engage in things that were against god to the point where the bible says it repented god that he made man i don't ever want god to be sorry that he made me i don't ever want god to be thinking vengeance that he that he created me i want god to look at me and look at my life and say well done i'm fighting for that day i'm preparing for that day i want him to say well done you've been faithful in a few things i'll make you ruler over many things anybody looking forward to heaven there's nobody knocking me off track atheists can say what they want agnostics can say what they want false doctrine can minimize whatever they want i'm looking forward to a day when i stand before god and he says well done well done when you read scripture it has it has some shocking stories the bible doesn't pull any punches it does not sugarcoat what happened it lays it out there god takes great pains to show us what happens when people forget god it tells us that when when joshua died that there arose a generation that knew not the lord it tells us that israel entered into a time of of of what they call the judges and they did not have a king so judges governed them god was the king that's how god wants it god wants to be the king of my life god wants to be the king of your life i don't think folks in the usa know what a king is they know what a mayor is they know what a congressman a congresswoman is they know what a senator is they know what a president is but they don't know what a king is god doesn't go to a cabinet to try to pass policies god doesn't make legislation and try to garner support god doesn't go out in politic and smile and and wave for the cameras that's a usa thing and we talk bad about elected officials and we gripe and complain and fuss and we pick sides but god is sovereign god has all power he has all authority and the men of this earth the kings of this earth can do what they want but there is a king of kings and there is a lord of lords and when he calls one he comes and when he tells one to go he goes and the bible says the heart of the king is in the hand of the lord to turn wither so ever he will nothing happens if that god is not in control if god were to call the president home today he could do it if god wanted to take down a government today god could do it if god decided to take you if he decided to take me he could do it i i i want to impress upon this congregation this morning the finality of god's word you don't think about it until until the moment is there i i stood in this pulpit yesterday in front of the casket of a 16 year old boy and i didn't have the words i didn't have the words what can i say i can't fix anything i can't change anything and and watching family grieve and watching the loss and the pain and the devastation listen when death comes you better make sure that you are in the hands of a holy god you better make sure that you have prepared for that day hallelujah i want to be prepared for that day i want him to look upon me with favor i'm living my life i'm living day by day in the hands of the lord i know that god controls my life i know that he controls the life of my family and my heritage and he can take me at any moment and my decision is i'm not going to wait until the glass is breaking and the breaks are screeching to finally say oh my god that's not the time to call on him the time to call on him is right now while you have your health while you have your strength while you have your faculties call on the lord right now your bible says today is the day of salvation not tomorrow not next week brother i wouldn't leave this building without making my heart right with god i would not leave this place without being baptized in his name and filled with his holy ghost i don't want to wait until i'm on a coveted ventilator i don't want to wait until i'm unable to make decisions i don't want to wait until i'm in a coma and somebody to say well i hope he was ready because there is a highway for the lord and none shall walk up there but the purine heart there's probably no greater example of sin than leprosy leprosy is the bible's physical description of what sin looks like you want to know what sin you know what's happening to a person's spirit when they have sin and when they allow sin to overwhelm them what the bible says give themselves over to sin watch the lepers watch the deterioration because that's what leprosy does one of the hallmarks of leprosy is that you can't feel anything anymore leprosy deadens it kills you bit by bit you're dying but you don't know you're dying you're you are losing the ability to feel you're losing sensation what's actually happening is nerve endings are dying that's what's happening your your your nervous system your your central cortex isn't computing it it's not connecting to your extremities so the problem with leprosy in a normal body you're supposed to feel that feeling is important if you touch a hot stove there's supposed to be a signal that goes to your brain that says pull your hand off the hot stove and god loved you enough that you don't have to sit there and have a debate [Applause] he made it an autonomous reaction when it's hot it's so fast that signal is sent so fast that before you consciously say to yourself oh my the stove is hot before you have a chance to say that there's a there's a jerk there's a pull back because the message was sent so fast and that that feeling is there not to hurt you or not to make you hyper sensitive but it's there to save you god wants to save you god is interested in saving and delivering and helping and ministering hallelujah there's supposed to be a sensitivity to the things of god can i take my time today because i want to talk about becoming sensitive to the things of god the connection between you and god is supposed to be instantaneous god wants to speak and it happens so fast that we just move god wants to talk with you it is his good pleasure to talk with you but sin separates us and i'm going to talk about it in the context of leprosy sensitivity i have met sensitive men and women of god there are some people i want praying for me when i know somebody knows how to get a hold of heaven i want that person praying for me i know people have a prayer life and when i need god i want to call them up and say brother can you pray for me i've got a need coming i've got a circumstance that i can't handle i need you to get a hold of heaven for me thank god for praying men for praying women thank god for a praying church we've had people say first pentecostal church i want them praying for me they're not playing church they are having church i want i want that kind of a sensitivity [Applause] now there's a few other folks that if they pray for me i glad they are but maybe i don't put so much confidence in those prayers i know folks that they're playing games with god and they might pray once in a blue moon and if the police pull them over for a ticket or something and and and when and that's not who i go to when i need prayer i'm not praying i'm not looking for the weekend warrior to pray for me i'm not looking for the in and out up and down wishy-washy lukewarm i i'm looking for the sensitive son of god i'm looking for the person who's in touch i'm looking for a a praying woman in zion that knows how to call on the name of the lord and when she prays heaven starts moving when she prays angels are dispatched hallelujah there's something powerful about a person that is in touch with god praise god let me let me give you a description the scripture talks about jesus coming to a woman at the well and she had she had been married five times five different men i don't know what happened i can only surmise the bible doesn't take the time to tell us what happened all we know is she has been dealt a very difficult hand we do know jesus took the time to talk to her that matters maybe maybe these men maybe they didn't know how to feel maybe they weren't men of god maybe they didn't care we're in case you haven't seen this we're living in a world where people don't care anymore there has there has been a day where where people were on the side of the road or people needed help or people needed help with groceries that people would step up and they would help there's crimes that are committed that when they're committed people are sitting there with their cell phone recording the crime while somebody's being hurt and being damaged and and my question is what in the world is wrong with people that they would just allow things to happen it's a sensitivity problem it's a problem where i don't love my brother i don't love my sister i'm just i'm just a bystander i'm just an onlooker hey god is not happy with that we're living in a different kind of world and there's many a woman that has been connected to a man that he can't feel he can't communicate there's a gap between them there's a chasm between them and vice versa people need to be in touch with god you want your husband to do to become the ideal husband make sure he loves god you want to you want to make sure your wife is the ideal wife make sure she loves god if she's in touch with god she'll be in touch with you if he's in touch with god he'll be in touch with you if he knows how to pray and call on the name of the lord he'll be god will work on him god will prepare him god will make him into what he's supposed to be the love of god permeates a person and they're able to love people i might even say i might go as far as to say that people are losing their ability to love the bible says god so loved the world that he gave we're not living in a giving world we're living in a taking world that sensitivity i have known great men jesus looked at and jesus embodied this he looks at the woman and he was sensitive to things that she had no idea about he he talked to her about receiving something to drink and he said if you knew who i was i'd give you water living water she wasn't sensitive to that bishop godair she didn't know what he was talking about she didn't know what living water was and there might be some people here today you don't know what living water is there might be some people watching online right now you don't know what living water is and if you don't know let me help you you came to the right church living water is for you living water is another way of saying the holy ghost the holy ghost is for you the holy ghost is the quenching of the thirst it is the it is the satisfaction of the soul it is the spirit of god designed for the heart of a man in the heart of a woman i wasn't made to callously walk this earth i wasn't made to wander i wasn't made to live like an animal i was made to represent god on earth having no idea having no sensitivity to who she was talking to she said sir the well is deep you have nothing to draw with how are you going to give me living water he began to talk to her about the spirit there's a lot of people that aren't sensitive to the spirit maybe there was a time when you first came that you weren't sensitive to the spirit maybe you've laid out a church so long that you've lost your feeling for the spirit the bible says of god that in him we live we move we have our being the bible says that we are supposed to feel after him we will find him if happily we will feel after him hallelujah there is a feeling there is a sensitivity there is a spiritual nervous system when you come to church you should feel something when you come to church there should be something that works its way up from the bottom of your feet up to the top of your head you might think we dress a little different you might think we talk a little different oh but the holy ghost you should feel it all over you when people begin to praise god you should feel it when people begin to preach you can feel it i'm not here to sermonize i'm here to preach i'm not here to lecture i'm here to preach i'm not here to offer up some canned commercial prayer i'm here to feel after my heavenly father what is that i'm feeling i don't know what i'm feeling there's something coming alive in you that was always supposed to be there you'll hear the voice of your heavenly father you'll feel the touch of heaven's hand after speaking to her of the spirit jesus told her go and get your husband and bring him he was he was throwing a line out into the pond oh i don't have a husband and that's all she said about it folks don't want to talk about their failures they don't want to talk about the night that he came home drunk that caused them to divorce where he became physically abusive they don't want to talk about him having an affair so maybe she had a revenge affair they don't want to talk about the kids now see all of that stuff that's life without god there's shocking stories that go into great detail of what happens when men and women begin to fall into sin we're living in a world today now they don't even know if they're male or female because it's a world given over to sin they forgot how to feel they forgot how to reach they forgot how to call on his name but as long as i'm alive as long as there's a lighthouse on carver street and gear street there's going to be an apostolic church that says we're going to feel after him hallelujah we're going to give ourselves to him we know the cure for sin we know the cure for leprosy it's jesus hallelujah oh hallelujah they lose their ability to feel now what when you lose that ability when you hurt yourself you don't know it when you touch the stove leprosy is the inability of the skin to regenerate your skin is supposed to regenerate that's a fascinating concept if you come back in six months from now if you come back you literally are a different person because your skin cells have reproduced your organ cells have reproduced you are in every sense of the word a different person you're shedding skin all day every day you're shedding the old and the new is being created that's a little bible study that tells you how to live for god every day that we live we should be shedding the old man and we should be putting on the new man the bible said we are renewed in the spirit of our mind and the old man the inner man where we're dying to that we're shedding old habits and old lifestyles and carnal ways of living and thinking and things that the world tells us to do we're shedding that then we're becoming a new creature the bible says be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind you're not just supposed to physically be a new person you're supposed to spiritually be a new person god will fill you with the holy ghost amen and you'll be a new creature you'll he'll put a new heart and if i'm not regenerating i'm a sinner my heart is growing worse and worse my attitude my spirit is growing more and more ugly every day if the body can't reproduce it's still there the skin is still there it's just dead now and if you slam your hand in the door or or if you brush up against something if if somebody bumps into you then the damage is there but it can never heal taken to its furthest extreme if you damage your pinky and it never regenerates eventually it will die and that the end of your pinky will fall off parts of your body will begin to fall off there are lepers that are missing their noses and their missing ears as pieces of them fall off and there is a world that is falling apart it's happening right in front of us common decency common civility just common kindness we're watching society fall apart society is walking in lepers rags and they they are they are they're passing the contagion on to one another hatred is contagious anger is contagious lust is contagious and it takes and it takes and it takes and it can't reproduce i am telling you there is no greater example of sin than leprosy jesus came to the house of simon the leper now there's a lot of preaching right there but there should be things happening in people's houses this is one reason why i believe bible studies are crucial to the kingdom of god we need to be able to sit down and talk about the things of god jesus came in there and he began to talk about the things of god he broke bread with them we are in acts 2 38 church but we're also in acts 2 39 acts 2 40 41 and 42 church i'm not just telling people to repent and be baptized in jesus name and be filled with the holy ghost i'm also going house to house breaking bread and in fellowship continuing steadfastly in the apostles doctrine i want to find somebody i want to tell them the gospel i want them to know the great things god has done for me i'm so glad somebody told my family can you remember the day somebody told you can you remember the day somebody knocked on your door and said i've got a message i've got something you need to hear i've got the cure for the numbness i've got a cure for the alcoholism i got a cure for your marriage that's falling apart i've got the cure for addiction i've got the cure for dysfunction i've got the cure i've been married five times jesus looked at her and he told her her inner thoughts jesus spoke them i don't have a husband in her mind she said i've had five and jesus said you've had five look at that sensitivity look at how a son of god reached into her heart to give her water that wasn't just for her throat but water that was for her soul that is sensitivity man we need preaching that is sensitive we need prayer that is sensitive we need holy prayer spiritual prayer spiritual church i believe that when preaching is led by the holy ghost there will be stuff come out of my mouth that will be so direct my god i feel the holy ghost right now i'm saying stuff right now that's hitting people and they're saying who told you i have heard god say things so direct it took my breath away and i know there was no way that preacher knew it was so direct god knew what i needed and he knew that i needed it today and god a man to preach the word of god and out of the mouth of that man came a message a message that wound its way through the first row and the second row and the third row and an angel walked up next to me and put his finger on my shoulder and i heard what he said oh there's got to be a sensitivity there's got to be an application of a son of god of a daughter of god [Applause] and say how did you know that preacher i don't folks i don't have time to run down the details i got enough trouble keeping my own life together i got trouble matching my socks in the morning i don't know what happened in your living room i don't know what decisions facing you but i've got a god that does and i woke up this morning to call on his name and i know he can put his word in my mouth and i can speak that word and while my brain has no knowledge god has knowledge and he can walk into your life and say you've been married five times and the man you're with now is not your husband this is the living water that will save you to the uttermost god wants a pastor god wants a church god wants a people that walk around with that kind of sensitivity yesterday i was talking to some young men bishop on the foyer and they said we used to come to church here i said you did one of them said yeah now i live up over in san diego and my friend he lives over in charlotte but we remember fpc they said we remember bishop goldare and they said we remember al bird there will be men there will be women that when they come walking down the street they're different than other people they have their feelers out they have a an aura about them they're not just feeling with their hands they're feeling with their spirit they can feel a troubled soul they can feel somebody wrestling with something there's something in the holy ghost they're not eaten up with sin they're full of righteousness they're full of the gifts of the spirit and the fruit of the spirit and when they walk in the room gets a little bit brighter and healing locks into the room and power walks into the room who is that i don't know but whoever that is i want him to touch my life oh hallelujah i can feel i can feel people reaching out to him right now why are you praising god like that i'm feeling for him no i don't have all the answers i'm not crazy i'm feeling for him i'm feeling for him i want him to touch my heart i want him to touch my marriage i waiting to touch my mind hallelujah hallelujah this is not just a church some clean place where everybody's perfect we're supposed to minister in the house of the lepers there's a world that needs jesus let me let me talk to the lepers that have it all together here today let me take a couple minutes and talk to the lepers that have managed to hide their leprosy you learn to cover up the crazy you know that if anybody ever saw how insane you were that they would run so you carefully comb your hair you carefully notch your tie they don't know the insanity that's swirling around in here they don't know the uncleanness that you've been looking at listening to the fight and they don't know the war going on at home they don't know the chaos the double life they don't know the backstabbing they don't know any of that all they see is a person who seems to have it all together did you know that dead is dead i'm gonna explain what i mean by that dead is dead everybody say that with me dead is dead whether you are out in the field lost forgotten decomposed and melting into the ground or carefully embalmed somebody combs your hair jacket and tie on you and your hands lovingly crossed they're both dead some people are just a little better put together in their deadness and some people are just a hot mess but the body that's breaking down in the gutter is no different than the body that's put together pretty they're both dead and when you're in sin the bible said we were dead in trespasses and sins i don't care how good you pretty it up i don't care how good a game you talk i don't care how charismatic you are i don't care how many degrees you have how much money's in your bank account if you are dead in siena you're dead like everybody else you'll both go to the same place they'll both dig a hole for you they'll both put you in dad is dead brother and the only solution for the dead is jesus christ the only solution for those that are dead is the resurrection and the life and i need jesus you need jesus the man under the bridge needs jesus and the guy in the penthouse needs jesus not me not me i'm i'm i'm better put together than those kind of people okay okay let's talk to the pretty lepers there was a man named naaman the bible called him the captain of the host he was a man of great power a man of great authority he was a man that led his army into battle he was a man of great position he had the ear of his king when naaman spoke the king of syria listened he had won great battles and had great accolades he was a general a powerful man but he was a leper god made a way for naaman god will make a way for you the bible said that there was a little maid in israel she was a little girl and i like how it says it she was in the house of naaman there's something about the leper's house there's something about going to where people live because in all of the acquisitions and all of the the collecting and all of the success if you're a sinner you're still a sinner and you can get all the prescription drugs you want you can get your doctor to prescribe them or maybe you get your dealer to prescribe them a little backyard pharmacy going on however you handle your condition what you're really looking for sir is jesus there is no methamphetamine that can duplicate the power of the holy ghost there is no percocet that can bring peace like the holy ghost can maybe you've medicated it maybe you've shoved it in a closet maybe you've carefully combed your hair and come to church and said everything's all right preacher but i am walking in the holy ghost and i'm feeling things in this sanctuary today and everything's not like you're acting like it everything's knocked together and there are problems and there's a god who sees it god's got an answer for that leper you're dying just like everybody else is the answer for naaman was to humble himself god crafted a strategy for naaman naaman how we going to do this well i'm going to send you a message through elisha the prophet he didn't come himself no he sent his servant to tell you you know who i am maybe maybe you didn't get the memo i'm kind of a big deal i'm a general in the army i've won battles but there's a message from heaven that says but you're a leper i've got money but you're a leper i've got fine clothes but you're a leper i've got the heir of the king and political influence but you're a leper and you're going to die listen god's not impressed with your accomplishments you're going to have to come off of that high horse name and you're going to have to come to grips with where things really are there is this thing called the truth and you might not like it it might hurt your feelings but brother the truth will make you free god will bring you down god will bring you to a place he will open your ears he will open your eyes he'll knock you down on the damascus road he'll speak to you out of a bright light god knows how to remove the scales from a proud man's eyes and you can die in your pride naaman or you can obey the voice of god i'm preaching to somebody on the internet right now just because you're on the internet on your computer screen on your ipad doesn't mean god can't reach you god these words can reach you right where you are they can move through the atmosphere and touch you where you are god knows how to reach the naamans all right all right all right all right god what what does he want what does he want well come on down into this muddy river you want me to go into that anybody ever been to the jordan river it looks kind of like a like a sewer canal i mean you can just feel the mud squishing between your toes it's not pretty it's very unimpressive you can almost jump across it this is a river the muddy river i surely i can go back to syria i can go to one of the rivers they're the clean pure rivers but god said come down into this river god will tell people come into this god is going to hand craft an experience for you designed for you this is designed for a proud man to humble himself naaman turned around he said i'm not doing it i'm offended i'm better than this and he began to walk away and how many people walk away and never come back how many people walk out of the doors and say i'll never get down into that pentecost i'll never get down into that shouting tongue talking jesus name stuff i'll never live like that you're not getting me in that river i've got other stuff i've got places that are all cleaned up places i'm comfortable in but but god has a river god has a river and it flows and there's healing in that river i want to invite you down into this muddy water i want to invite you down into the day of pentecost i want to invite you down into this oneness of god there's healing in this [Applause] and a proud man has to get off of his high horse it's not hard to be healed you just got to get over yourself [Applause] but somebody might talk about me if i go up there and lift my hands we don't have time to talk about you i got my own problems i got my own situations i'm trying to touch god for myself come on you're you're making too big a deal out of it come down into this muddy river his servant his servant name and turn to walk away he was offended i'm not i'm not coming back i'm not that's it i'm gone i'm gone that you're you're crazy to get me in that church and the servant stopped him and said if he had asked you to do a great thing you would have done it if he had asked you to climb a mountain if he had asked you to go to some far extreme you would have done it because that would have been worthy of your ego but because it's such a humble thing you're too proud why not obey what the man of god said why not give god a chance i got a question for everybody today why not obey the word of god why not repent of your sins why not go down in the water naaman we'll baptize you in this water and when you come up you'll have the skin of a baby when you come up he'll wash the sin off of you when you come up [Applause] god knows how to deal with the naamans i'm coming to a close i've been preaching a while give me a couple more minutes god god knows how in the leper's house he knows how to deal with the broken and the lowly the bible says that that there was a woman who found out where jesus was and she got an alabaster box of spikenard hundreds of pence they say it was about a year's worth of wages work an entire year you just wrap your brain around that from january 1st to december 31st working every week for those wages and buying a perfume for jesus i'll just tell you worship is not waste if you think worship is waste then you might be a leper if you're not sensitive to the value of worship let me just take a second and ask you a question what do you have that god needs you think god needs your money you'll be dead in a few years you think he needs your lands you'll be dead in a few years you're a steward you're a caretaker you're not an owner you're you're a pilgrim you're walking through this earth god doesn't need your land he doesn't need your money he's not impressed with your accomplishment but you have one thing to give him today and that is your worship that is your life brother that is expensive to god that is worth a great deal to god what is wrong with me that i won't come in and give him what belongs to him glory belongs to god i came to give him glory i came to live my voice to him if you think this is a waste of time you're never going to get past your leprosy if you think this is a waste of time you've lost your ability to feel and you're dying [Applause] well i just don't know why they raised their hands i don't know why they go to all that trouble i don't know why they clapped their hands and you wouldn't know why she broke the alabaster box and why she fell at his feet and while she anointed his feet and washed his feet with her hair and poured it on his head the proper response the proper response in the house is worship it's worship we got a lot of people that are thankful for what god has done for them we've got a lot of people that brought their sacrifice to pray god have mercy you don't know where i was when he found me you don't know what i was doing you don't know the dark alley that he found me in you don't know what i was smoking you don't know what i was drinking you didn't know who i was laying without but a man named jesus came walking down into my life and he brought healing in his hands and if you think that i'm gonna sit here like it's just any day this is the king of kings and the lord of lords and i break my alabaster box you don't know what he did you don't know what he did for me well this isn't like some of the churches we've been to pastor irish and i know we're feeling after him we're feeling after him right now i'm feeling after him in my spirit you can remain standing i want musicians to come hear me now i'm talking about sensitivity i'm talking about a proper response to the presence of god this woman found a proper position in the kingdom of god she brought her praise she brought her worship she broke her alabaster box simon looked at that one place in the book of luke it records something that he said he said if this man were the messiah he would know what manner of woman this was and jesus turned to him and said simon since i came into your house you haven't anointed my head you haven't anointed my feet but this woman hasn't ceased to do it the tragedy of simon's house is that simon had been a leper according to the law you couldn't eat in a leper's house a leper couldn't be in the house with you and so theologians strongly believed that jesus had healed simon of his leprosy and there's another group of people that we've got to be careful about and that's people that have been touched by god in the past and have forgotten how to worship him and have forgotten how to give their lives and have forgotten how to pour out their alabaster box it's a contented people it's a it's a people that don't praise like they used to and and people that think it doesn't really take all that anymore and people that grow lukewarm in their hearts and i don't ever want to lose sight of what he did when somebody walks in that needs the holy ghost i don't ever want to look down my nose at them because i want to remember what he did for me i want to remember what he brought me through how he set me free simon [Applause] my house is supposed to be a house of prayer let's lift our hands in this place this morning i i want to know if there's anybody here that you have an alabaster box is anybody here that you have a praise to pour out on him [Music] hey naaman hey naaman won't you come on down into this muddy water hey judas why don't you stop trying to stop the praises of god's people simon why don't you unfold your arms and come down and sit at his feet and let the holy ghost touch you today let god heal you let god heal your heart let him heal your marriage let him heal your spirit let him let him touch your body today that's it lift your voice lift your voice i'm opening this altar somebody come somebody lift your hands to him and ask god to help you [Music] that's it come close the utterance amen we've had about 20 people get the holy ghost in the last month [Applause] when you look at the united states of america you will see that there's a people that are growing more wealthy and more calloused less feeling the bible says of the rich man that he says i'm rich and i'm increased with goods and i have need of nothing and so they insulate themselves from their need if you go to the country of ethiopia if you go to south america if you go to central america you'll find a people that have so little they have nothing like we have but when they pray when they pray [Applause] it cuts through all of the apathy all of the carnality all of the artificial security see you don't know how much you need god until that moment comes [Applause] thank you jesus well that moment is here and i'm preaching to people that if you'll pray and seek after him you'll develop the sensitivity to what he's doing god god wants a people that when they walk through the grocery store they're sensitive to what's happening around them they can they can talk to people they can minister to people they have a sensitivity you're not just walking by people but but the holy ghost will work in you you'll feel them and you'll minister to them just like the woman at the well god wants to do that through me he wants to do that through you there's a lot of lepers in this world some of them are proud some of them are lowly some of them are calloused some of them are dying they're all dying but they're all lepers and they need the touch of the master's hand hallelujah let's lift our hands together again let's ask god to help us [Music] let's ask god to minister hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah speak to the hearts of men and women here today god speak to the hearts of your people jesus hallelujah glory to god glory to god glory to god glory to god amen if there's ever been a time where we need it we needed a touch from god it's right now [Applause] you know the bible says of naaman that before he went to elijah's elisha's house rather that they came to the king of israel and and said i've been told that you can heal me of my leprosy and there's a world out there that goes to political power looking for the answers and political power doesn't have the answers the police department is at its wits end we have young men who can't feel they're so desensitized by violence and and porn and the insanity of this world and the political power is helpless but what a good time to be part of the church because elisha sent a message to the king said send him here we'll take him down in the water we'll take him down in the water and when they come up out of that water god will cleanse him god will heal them god will bless them and help them in the name of jesus praise god praise god thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus oh let's give god praise [Applause] [Music] [Applause] oh let's give god praise yes let's give god praise thank you
