hi Mohammed hi said me hi Jess hi dad great to see you today we're going on an earwig adventure earwigs come out at night but it's day isn't it so we're gonna have to look really hard do you think you could do that get your feelers ready then feel it out what's about we're off on a mini beast adventure what have we got in here [Music] what is it that's a slug Wow look at that that's a tiny slug it's a bit too slimy to be an earwig though isn't it should we put him back because we're not looking for slugs we're looking for earwigs is there anywhere else we could look let's go Sydney's playing inside but we're still gonna have an earwig adventure aren't we I'm gonna give you something special in case we find an earwig it's a special box to put it in can you look after that for me excellent now we're on this balcony could we find a wigs in the flour brilliant let's have a look then earwigs like damp dark places so maybe they might be living underneath the pot should we have a look can you see anything down there oh what's that wow that's beautiful what is it a good long tail should we see if we can catch it I think you can catch it can you [Music] yes you've got it Wow we found Annie wig high five yes what are those things they are crab snappers aren't they they're like crabs claws on the back of its bum what do you think she uses those crab snappers those pincers for for catching stuff to eat what to her pincers look like straight aren't they yeah really straight and that means she's a girl and if she was a boy she'd have pincers like yeah like curved so should we put her back with her friends now come on then let's put her back under the plant you know where your skeleton is it's right inside your body [Music] thus an earwig has a skeleton on the outside to it sportive which helps to keep it safe one way we can help earwigs and other mini beasts in the garden is to leave an untidy corner somewhere outside so that they can come and hide in it earwigs love old logs and leaves so we've got some here to build an earwig Hotel can you help me yes excellent so we're gonna take some of these logs and put them as tight as we can in that corner down there would you like one Sydney there you go now lots of mini beasts can come and hide in there got this one on there already look wasn't hurt help that was a woodlouse you want to put that one down there as well we'll make a nice pile oh these ones aren't real logs these ones a cardboard that's been rolled up to look like a log but they've got lots of little places for insects to hide him keep it in that corner as much as you can that's it excellent slide what do you think would you slide a slug on a slide do you think the slugs might use your slide yeah brilliant who do you think might hide in here wiggly worm maybe yeah oh you need another bit do you Sydney here you go what's there how can you see that Sydney look in there what life well that's a bit of old cloth that's one of their favorite things to hide in Sydney would you like another piece of wood to put in there you go think that's the last bit now we just need to leave the hotel alone and see if any mini beasts or any earwigs move in [Music] yes hi Elizabeth hi Samara yeah great to meet you today we're going on an ant adventure have you ever seen an amp before what they like Wow where do you think we might find some everywhere everywhere well come on then get your fingers ready Feliz what about we're off on a mini beast adventure [Music] everywhere what about yeah yeah yes to lad we fun too I bet there's more because where there's one there's always lots because ants live in ant hills do you think we could find one of those yeah shall we tries yeah we stop anywhere we like yes absolutely about what up here where are they going I don't know fun full of it yeah do you think this might be the anthill yes it is this is a quite some mould and they need good tiny holes do you know how we can see things that are really small better yeah how about the flag I'm not gonna fight in grass would you like one as well tomorrow we can look at the ad it's really closely through those like green with big teeth I figure because they have tiny legs that's a lot of ants isn't it they're playing what do you think they're playing flag run face painters today so they do eat fruit they love fruits and they love sweet things yeah how many ants do you think live in this anthill a hundred a hundred how many do you think I 145 I'm 45 to 154 Wow I hardly that's what it is I think it might be even more than that inside anthills there can be thousands and thousands of amps you can believe that yeah I could see every one of them if you weep right food will it to make you into a queen no of course it won't but it's the baby answers that's right food to turn into a queen and now I'm going to show you how to make your own ant farm so you can see what's going on inside that anthill firstly you need a clear plastic pot like this one you fill it with sand can you girls help me with that yeah here you go Samara so we put some sand in here very good that looks great can you put some leaves them yeah where are they all go and put that one in very nice and should we give them a little bit of water to drink as well there we go now we need to get some and one more leaf go on then so the ant hills just there get this leaf and try and see if you can get an ant on there and you get one on that one Elizabeth you didn't get one you have to be quite patient well done should we see if we can get some of these ones to go in blow on my hand blows mama there we go we've got slots in there now excellent do you think they like their home yeah shall we give them some food yeah as a special treat I've got a raspberry joy to put in yeah well now we can put the lid on it's got some holes in so they can breathe and soon they should make some tunnels like they do in that anthill but after a few days we're gonna let them go again because they want to go back with their friends so we won't keep them in here for very long will we for you know for a few days no glad you're here because today we're gonna want a lazy bad adventure have you ever seen a ladybird before yeah what do they like they have a red broad use black legs and a red head and black spots yes great why did you think we might find some of those under logs in under wood chips and in grass excellent let's go and have a look then get your fetus ready wheelers out what suppose we're all full of mini beef adventure oh it's black let me show you what it looks like it's some kind of beat anything it it does that was available but it doesn't it is moving it looks like it has armored little things yeah it does look like Alma doesn't it it's your baby bird unless you laid berth in there well if you have a look at this end can you see there's a little hole there yeah that's where the ladybug came out so this is an empty lady bird cocoon head looks like you can play me does look a bit like a noughts and crosses board that's some cool should we see if we can find some grown-up lady birds mine come on I found a back own kind of bee thing oh my goodness boys you find something amazing does this look anything like that cocoon we farm do you know one of you thinks yes and one of these things no well what would you think if I told you that this was what it was before it became that cocoon but they've been her spots yes this is a baby ladybird well it looks like a caterpillar well it is the equivalent of a caterpillar for a ladybird isn't her and it's the same sort of colors but instead of being red with black spots it's black with red stripes tickles it took a little bit magic it's a little bit magic it is a little bit magical that that goes into a cocoon and then turns into a beautiful lady but isn't it [Music] I think we should put it back because it needs to make its cocoon and talent her grown-up ladybird doesn't hurt so now we've seen a cocoon we've seen a baby what else we need to see fake ones so where do you think we should find some big ones someone oh wow oh my goodness is a grown-up one if in turn shall we put it in a box so we can see it more clearly Wow isn't that pretty it does have orange spot doesn't it but we thought it was gonna be red with black spots so why have we found a black one with red spots I don't know are there lots of different color ladybugs yes what other colors can you get even get yellow ones and blue ones yeah Wow they come in lots of different colors I'm not so sure about blue and I see it's got a little pattern on the bottom oh yes it's stripy isn't air and the cocoon was a bit stripy wasn't there and the baby was a bit striping so maybe that's one thing that's the same about the baby and the cocoon and the ladybird [Music] how many times can you flap your arms in the time it takes us a ladybird three perhaps ladybird use that time a flying late versus flapped its wings 90 x 90 Wow ladybirds love sunny days what happens to lady Birds when it's cold they go in house yes they find warm places to hide sometimes they snuggle up with lots of other lady birds and if you're lucky you could find them hiding indoors somewhere but if they're outdoors they need somewhere warm to hide so we thought we'd make some lady bird houses for them to hide in in the winter so kitten Brody each have a flower pot and that's where they're going to make their Lady Bird house and we're gonna fill those with bamboo what do you think these bamboo sticks would be good for high to the middle partner what do you think this drawer is full yes exactly we're gonna put it around the edge so it holds all of the sticks together and keep some nice and cozy and warm excellent can you do that there and they have a stop um no [Music] that looks like a good lady bird high center so inside those bamboo sticks they'll be safe and warm brilliant great do you think it's ready yeah do you think the lady birds are gonna like their houses I think they look fantastic [Music] hi rowan hi Lily oh yeah brilliant to see you today we're going on a moss adventure have you ever seen a moss before I have one holiday you look like a butterfly Oh have you ever seen one Lily on it well hopefully you'll see one today get your peanuts ready penis out what was a barrel we're off for a minute [Music] a really good way to look for moths it's too sweet for them with Nets should we try that now let's see if we can find any moths shall we think I caught any moss no those are insects in there whoa any moths though no it is not easy to catch them we're in that green thing where for how my goodness look at this I can give the little grasshopper look how green it is isn't that amazing did it jump on to you Rowan very hard it is very hard you only see them at nighttime you do normally see them at nighttime look I've got two months in here can you see them these white things here it's not that is alone what was the one you saw like you know it's wow there's lots and lots of different types and different shapes of moths some of them are big and some of them a little like these ones here they do look a bit like butterflies don't know what's different they yeah they're holding that wings backwards aren't they but butterflies hold their wings straight up that is beautiful pink lots of colors on it hasn't there what are these things at the front here fearless what do you think of moth studs with its Filas do you think it listens with them do you think it sees with them it uses those to smell and it can smell things that are really really far away it can smell from another country oh wow it's almost that far it's almost like if in the next village they were cooking a pizza and you could smell it from here yeah how good are you at smelling to do smell flower from Miss clothes all from here how about from this far away I'm often smell its food from riot eyes of the other side of town most moths come out at night so it's very difficult to see them but last night I put it-- a special trap hopefully we've got some inside so we have a look now if we carefully lift this out should we see what we've got under these egg boxes oh oh they're all flying away why are they flying away Lilia because it's nighttime yeah it's not nighttime so they're going to find somewhere else to hide because we've woken them up well I'm looking ahead a bit like a what should we take the other side out as well yeah whole thing please thank you mas do make holes in clothes sometimes don't they there is a special moth that eats clothes but not all of them and not these ones night oh look at this one Wow can you see bro and look at this one isn't that beautiful much better than the most apt ink on the tomorrow they're much better than the mas we saw during the day aren't they tonight you might find you normal we can't do it again tonight you could do it at home all you have to do is put up a white sheet and put a light behind it and the moths will come towards it an old sheet it can be any white sheet I'd like to see a tricky one pretty one I do think at one this one [Music] how are you are you good thank you nice to see you yeah today we're going on a slug adventure yeah where could we find a slug over there yeah should we go and find some yeah get your feelers ready what about we're all for a mini business venture hello Kiva Judith's friend Kiva has come to join our Slug adventure should we have a look at the rest of the cartoons let me see anything around here Oh Samantha oh oh it looks like a spider doesn't it but it's not a spider no it's called a Harvest Moon do you want to look at that Kiva yeah it's a very friendly harvestman would you like to hold it no would you like to hold it mm-hmm may I buy the web Oh me they can't make spider's webs let's try holding it and I can can't hurt you thank you yeah come on then keep up and I can't hurt you no they can't hurt you you're right it was living over there wasn't it so should we put it back over there oh you did it well done oh wow look at this this is a bright orange flow yeah don't touch it no touch it go on [Music] he won't feed would you like to hold it yeah it sounds like me it is slimy isn't it look at the patterns on its back yeah what's that slime it's left a slime trail look Sarge why do you think this looks odd okay you want to go back home do you want to put it back home yes okay bye-bye-bye you can squeeze through small spaces that the size of your bones stops you from squeezing from really narrow gaps stripe doesn't have any bone so it can make itself long and thin it can squeeze for your tiniest for that some people think slugs are very slow but actually they can move really fast when they want to we're gonna have a look at how slugs move today look at this bit here that is the slugs foot its whole body yeah it's a foot yeah can you imagine if your foot was your whole body yes which one do you think it's gonna be fast the little one the big one all the big ones off already do you just put it down let's put the little one on can you see the tentacles are the front feeling where they go why do you breathe note knows and they use oh wow the big ones so fast isn't it come on little slug oh and the big ones Danny made it to the edge [Music] [Applause] [Music] hi Nawaz hi Kadima I'm so happy you're here because today we're going on a spider adventure have you ever seen a spider before where do you think we might find them why do spiders live yes in spider webs you see any spiders webs any man oh no spiders in it I take it - oh I can see it look it's right there at the back here just think she's doing trying to catch flies I find them right over there that's pretty isn't it you think it right right like it time I think it looks like a month yeah your monitor yeah yeah c'mon stuff there's another one heck oh wow what's her web like bloody clown Foley hey don't look a bit like a trampoline I have they made so many ways they can catch the eyes so they can catch flies to eat yeah there are some spiders called wolf spiders and live under logs should we have a look under this log to see if we can find any I'm gonna lift this up and I need you to look really carefully and tell me if you spot any spiders okay go what is that white thing and you got any idea it doesn't look like a button doesn't it that's actually her eggs her baby spiders are gonna come out of there why is just better not putting it down the eggs that's so that they hatch safely so she protects them until they hatch we call it an egg sac and it's like a bag full of baby spiders one day the bag opens and there's lots of tiny tiny tiny little spiders may run everywhere and make their own agony well actually this type of spider doesn't make a spider web that's why it hides under logs and things like that and let's put her back a spider built the web in about an hour imagine if you could build a homes that quickly Wow so now we thought we'd make our own web I've started us off here with some bits of the web but what should we add on next I don't know should we go around here like this yeah do you think you can do that katene man put that through there and around like that and then you've got the next bit do you think you can do that here go on then there you go brilliant perfect analyse [Music] tima it's really starting to look like a spiderweb now [Music] how long do you think it takes a spider to make a spider web 30 minutes 30 minutes some of them probably could do it in 30 minutes that's quite quick attack taemin where are you gonna push it back [Music] okay I own a key i won do you think it would be strong enough yes well I don't know spider silk is very very very strong but well I'm not sure you can climb up world that's why spiders are so amazing their webs are so strong they can climb up them Oh spiders are beautiful what do you think of our spider web it is cool isn't it [Music] hi Morgan hi Eva hi yeah Hodges fantastic to see you today we're going on a dragon fly adventure yeah have you seen a dragon fly before what do they like and they like to be a caterpillar shape well they do have quite a caterpillar shape don't they well we're very lucky today because dragonflies like the Sun and it's a lovely day today so I think we might find some have you got your feelin's ready yes real is well or suppo that's right Feliz are where are for a minute [Music] dragon flies when their babies live in ponds and they're called dragonfly nymphs we're gonna have a little look in this pond and do some pond dipping to see if we can find any I'm gonna fill this with some water so that if we catch anything it's got water just swim around in so if you take your nets and put them in and see what you can find oh that's a good one turn that in here [Music] that's called a water boatman we see how he's swimming like it's got all one oh this one here yeah actually that isn't a spider let's have a look at it a bit more closely swims by now what do you think it is either the baby dragonfly that's right Eva how do they live underwater them that's a good question how do they live underwater you might have and the other ones might have the wings to em flap and I might sit down they might still do it and they might there - excellent oh the blade can swim that's exactly what happens the mummy dragonfly comes down and lands on something like this and lays her eggs and then the babies are in the water and they can swim and to turn into a dragonfly it climbs up a stalk like this and stops and makes itself a sleeping bag it goes to sleep and when it wakes up it's got wings and it can fly and there's a dragon hi now this one sleeping in later than two chuckle flies yes one is sleeping that it turns into a dragon flies awesome my back wings wings the babies can swim and the adults can fly how where does that really we should put him back I think we should put him back yeah yeah we must always put the creatures back after we find them you see it swimming away yeah Oh what part of your body do you breathe through yes it's all nice and mouth it's a dragonfly nymphs breeze for a different part of its body it breeds for its bottom let's sit here away from the edge dragonflies love water so this should be a great place to spot them would you like to look with some binoculars yeah you go you're welcome oh that's a beautiful way over there back in the Alfa oh my goodness that one's enormous it was quite blue look there's a baby one oh it does look like a baby dragonfly doesn't it that one isn't actually a dragonfly it's a damselfly have you ever heard of a damselfly before damselflies are very very similar to dragonflies but they're a bit smaller and they do different things with their wings can you see what it's doing when it lands it holds its wings like this like this yeah and did you notice earlier what that big wondered when he landed on me yeah Oh like that so that is the difference between damselflies and dragon like a little thing like a stick yeah what dragonflies bodies like but they like colors like painting colors on them over there there's a brown one anything it they got two wings on that side ceilings on that side yeah they have two wings on each side Wow what's he doing with his wings did you say they were all going in different directions but it went backwards yeah I think they got eyes buckle their things they have their eyes are so big that they start here and go all the way to here beam can see backwards we can see everywhere can you imagine if you could see it all directions yeah would that be cool I care a high Evelina thank you for letting me come to your house today we're having a centipede adventure have you ever seen a centipede before what they light and they're very quickly when they walk all up your neck oh well hopefully we'll do something they make me laugh too they normally come out at nighttime so we're gonna have to find them where they're hiding and that's likely to be somewhere damp and dark is there anywhere I gotta find here and much brilliant well let's go and have a look then get your fingers ready be lay down what's ever we're off on a mini V from any job [Music] mini beasts love to hi so I'm gonna lift them up and I want you to look under and tell me what you can see okay ready yeah that is a would life yeah yes now you need to keep your hive holiday is so taking me far Tiffany okay I'll stay happy looking nice isn't it it's moving funny it's be round in circles that's why I meant that I think I'll open bowls and they got Oh kinda nice on them right said yes they have got lines on their backs every day are you gonna put it back that's great its back with its grand sign it's so good but I see some contouring that no come on then let's lift the next one up let's go around back and look like the would not fall or send a pain did it wonder page oh my goodness right on the top of the rock oh I've got a potty my book could be very careful Kara you've got to be would you like to hold it yes I don't want it or just in the pot like this oh yeah it's very typically when you hold on yeah the articular aren't there it's silly it's moving like really it's lone assuming it see it's moving semi how many legs do you think it's got hi judge ah lots of people do you think centipedes have a hundred legs but actually they have much less than that most ugly blonde thing which long thing these things that look like this there are ten eyes yes they are very anti twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen seventeen on that side and seventeen on the other side so that makes 34 legs as you get older your legs get longer but has a centipede gets older it simply grows more legs imagine that happen to you now we know that centipedes come out at night so we thought would make them a cosy centipede corner to hide in during the day which of these things here do you think they'd like to have in this cozy corner yeah okay so shall we make it here under this tree I think that'd be a nice place for them to hide I'm gonna put some moss in oh that looks great I think they'd love to hide under that and be done with this yeah when they come okay where do we want to put this pillow watch me okay and this is gonna be the thing that I get up on this can be that door lava okay when they go inside this radio yeah do I be eyes listen to dumpy music what does centipedes listen to what sort of music rap music okay that can be the radio for the centipedes rap music that looks great I think they're gonna love their cozy centipede corner so we put a centipede in now yeah in there cuz - really once okay bye-bye-bye centipedes so let's leave that alone now and see how many centipede and other mini beef comes in Puglia hello ha yeah great to see you today we're going with a caterpillar adventure have you ever seen a caterpillar before no where do you think we might find one around here what's my down there yeah right get your feelers ready then what what's the bout we're off on a mini beast adventure [Music] I think there's some nice having Holton oh yeah look here - so what do you think's been here who knows peppy caterpillars - something's been eating them we're not alone I really can't baby a butterfly when he was eating do you know what I think that's exactly what happened really if that's okay a cocoon where they're made that does look a little bit like a cocoon doesn't it actually that's just it rolled up old leaf but that is exactly what cocoons are supposed to look like let's have a look at these one caterpillar Wow jaqen oh my goodness yes you have caterpillar Wow it's not amazing flick killer yeah a yellow head and what colors its body clean green berry some currently hard him would you like to hold it low hon yeah you have to are very very careful because pickles me of my ear oh no no no not because he might hurt you because you might hurt him because many beasts are very very small and very hard him I just want to touch it but look hold there he's good he was trying to eat me ah he wiggled his face wrinkled his face he's nicked me I'm hoppin me he's very regular wubble isn't okay caterpillars don't eat people what to catch a penalty means what happens when he gets to the edge of your fingers he might fall off he might fall off but it doesn't fall off why doesn't he fall off what does he do because he can crawl it over yeah you can go upside down in sideways can hold on really well currently now we've had a really good look at him what do you think we should do way more relief he's probably hungry isn't he should we put them on this one here yeah bye-bye caterpillar when you wake up in the morning you look the same as you did when you went to bed but when a caterpillar go to sleep it changes into a butterfly [Music] imagine if what happened to you Wow I've already discovered that caterpillars love to eat and eat and one plant that lots of caterpillars like to eat imma stations so I thought we could plant some nasturtiums for you to put on your balcony to see if we can attract any caterpillars but you like to do that here you have a pot and you have a pot luleå and you're gonna know you are with these travels you can do that yeah that's good excellent thank you yeah I think I looks great now these seeds here I'll see if I got four - dashing plants at home you make three holes in there to put your seeds in brilliant so here's one sees one for you another one and the last one for luleå dad no cover those over what do we need to do now that we've planted these water them water them yes so here you go you have a watering can there give them a little bit of water that's it excellent and I'm gonna give you this mr. sham as well to put on your balcony this is one I planted do you think lots of Koch brothers are gonna come I need to wish for my hand [Music] hi Joseph hi Florence thank you great to see you today we're going on a butterfly adventure and let's buy the venture and that's our venture all of those many beasts are threatened by whom now is what we're gonna see okay get your penis Reggie feelers out what's about we're off that was a white one there and this one's orange or my luck well that's a B [Music] that's exactly right bees do Craig pullin to make honey I know I missed it did you see it Joseph oh I missed it what color was it Florence yeah I know what Oh another white butterfly lovely very well Fred's of balls a vegetables butterfly what better fried living vegetables neck kind of luck oh wait that's so right because there is a butterfly that lives on cabbages called the cabbage white and it's a white butterfly you're so smart Florence do you know how butterflies eat from flowers and actually what Florence said was right as well they eat the honey the nectar from the middle of the flowers using what exactly with that long times like this is your tongue as long as a butterfly butterfly stones are so long that they have to curl them up to put them in their mouth because they're so long their tones like this law so they have to curl it up to put it inside their mouths like yeah a bit like that oh so well float you a flower then they've done this really that's exactly what happens they fly like this to a flower then they stop and drink and shut their wings like that they drink the nectar from the flower yes that's exactly what they do I'm flying to flower shop how do you taste your food with your mouth and tongue of course but a butterfly tasted food with its feet imagine tune that mum wouldn't be very pleased if you did if you want to attract butterflies to you you can make a butterfly feeder we're making butterfly feeders that look like flowers yeah now if Florence and Joseph have decorated their petals beautifully for their flowers haven't you well--that's look Heidi you did a beautiful flower and landed those are your flowers and we've got water bottles as the stems so we're going to take our flowers and put them onto the stems like that can you do that excellent that's great so the flowers are on the Sens now all that's left is what do butterflies eat honey honey they eat nectar in the middle of the flowers so that's what we need to do next we need to put some mixer for our butterflies to drink so would you like to choose a bit of cotton will you push that just at the top of the bottle but not all the way in because the bit that matters is this bit here I'm going to put some sweet sugar water on there which is like nectar from the flowers do you think butterflies are gonna come and drink this water it's very sweet they're I think they're ready now so where should we put our butterfly feeder over there come on then now all we have to do is wait for the butterflies to come and eat from our feeders yeah that's what let's watch [Music] hi Teddy hi Josh I'm so glad you're here because today you we're off on a beat an adventure have you ever seen a Beatle before yep where do you think we might find some first in the trees on the ground let's go then get your fearless ready [Music] [Music] this looks like a great place to look for beetles doesn't it oh can you have a look underneath if I lift these are it isn't a spider actually it's quite a harvestman harvestman oh should we keep looking for beetles yeah so let's put him back and see if we can find one oh there's a spider web under there I think this one yeah okay I look got it oh no oh it's so fast Wow what does that look like it's got a lot less legs than a centipede hasn't it it looks like a really big ant you're right Josh you see this kit bag on my back can you get something out of that pocket here oh oh we've got a magnifying glass you could look at it really carefully with that see if we put the beetle in there we could look at it and live in it and it goes one two three oh five six six legs like all insects he's got some spikes on me legs there's a really cool thing they do with the hairs on their legs they can feel the sensations of where other animals are do your hands and your legs tell you that no what do you think it's got under this show here wings wings beetles do have wings under their shells there he's bumped his bones yeah you're right yes they are his bones we have our skeletons inside our bodies you can't see them do you think you can see this beetle skeleton yeah why is it skeleton inside it's bullying no thanks Josh is completely right beetle skeletons are outside their body that black thing on the edge that's all his skeleton isn't that weird yeah how sharp are your teeth you can use them to take a big bite out of an apple butter beetles teeth are so sharp can bite right free words [Music] many beasts are everywhere all the time but sometimes it can be really hard to see them one of the best ways that you can find them is by making a tumble trap for them to tumble into we're making one here I've dug a hole for Teddy to put this clean yogurt pot into can you put that in for me cuddy perfect so the insects can walk along here and tumble into the trap now we don't want them to spot it straight away and if the rain comes down we don't want the insects to die so Josh you're gonna put a stone on the top aren't you perfect just with a little bit of hole so there's enough space for the mini bees to crawl underneath I made a tumble truck this morning shall we see if it's got anything in it yeah come on then over there here it is shall we see what we've got yeah this is the stone that they climb underneath what have we got in this pot let's put it in this tray and see what we've got if we got any beetles this is called a miner oh you are very close it is very closely related to a rhinoceros beetle in fact it's in the same family but this one is called a lesser stag beetle Oh crow you are really close well not the big one this one this one is a Rove beetle and they're really really fast and they have this special trick that they do when they're scared they put up that back like a scorpion okay catch it what about if you put your hand next to mine really loved it this one in such a rush to get to home I'm sweet Oh silly but they do like dark places because they live under stones don't they and they were living in that dark tumble trap yeah when we make a tumble trap we only lead it for a few hours so that the insects fall in we have a good look at them and then we put them all back with their friends [Music]
