this is a slightly new format jumping straight into this collection where of course we still do our usual scientific test that has proven to annoy at least 13 of you today we're checking out all things carbon fiber edc aka everyday carry your daily essentials keys tools basically anything that you take with you we've got a splash of carbon fiber in every one of them starting with the money maker the iphone's sealed inside the speaking rugged armor case so a huge shout out to spigen for partnering on this video and although their cases aren't made of carbon fiber the rugged armor series offers just enough of a carbon fiber accent that it still takes you to the next level of being a car bro so much so they even offer car mounts with a slight kick of carbon fiber to really spruce up your 1993 toyota camry but today we're focusing on the rugged armor case family here available for pretty much any device you carry with you so taking a closer look at the main one it sports a neat strip of carbon fiber accent along the bottom that also offers a slight bit of texture too and the case itself is made of a flexible rubber with their classic interior webbing pattern that totes has spider-man vibes going on but popping the iphone in my favorite feature is the apple logo cutout for those times i just forget what phone i'm using but the buttons do stick out so they're easy to find and offer a satisfyingly clicky response a large mute rocker cutout for any size finger plus the case is thick enough around back to keep the lenses from making out with your table and finally plenty of space in its booty for even the girthiest of cables the case is quite slim which is great for your baby hands but doesn't skimp on futures because of that like with this edgy edge design it's curved so it's comfortable to wrap your fingers around but unlike smooth finishes this one actually feels like you've got something to hold on to combine that with the matte finish all around that combo alone is enough to convince anyone who has butter fingers for days of course if you do somehow still manage to drop your phone the decent sized zipper on the screen will keep it lifted off flat surfaces when you do decide to do this for some reason but the case itself has what spigen calls air cushion tech which is basically these air bubbles in the corners of the case meant to disperse impact and for a case as thin and flexible as the rocket armor it will surprise you how well it does in my scientific drop test honestly this case is really for the handy ones out there who just like to touch everything because with the matte finish combined with these several textures on the case is kind of just fun to fidget with all day to complete the package though let's really seal everything up with the spigen camera lens screen protector made of a tempered glass it sticks right over your camera bump and wha bam now you really don't have to worry about messing up the threesome around back because let's be honest that's the only reason you bought the new iphone so let's spend a few bucks to keep it safe now you don't have to worry about tossing it into your pocket bag or onto a table full of pens and tools either plus if everything does end in the pooper it's much cheaper to replace this tempered glass protector than it is the glass of your actual camera and don't worry it won't affect the quality of your silly tic-tock videos now for a matching pair they also have protective options for the airpods pros too with their rugged armor series offering the same carbon fiber accent to be all matchy matchy the case offers a clip attachment if you're tired of misplacing your case all the time and overall it will keep your airpods scratch free as well now to finish everything off yes they do make it for the ipad pro as well but this time with much more carbon fiber but the same matte black texture everywhere else along with this padded grip accent too the folio style case offers complete 360 degrees of protection and even a magnetic securing tab to keep it closed and unless you store your electronics very carefully like i do the tab does come in handy when your pencil gets knocked around in your bag or on a table plus the inside of the screen cover has a soft microfiber finish nothing but the best for your ipad pro you've got your standard clicky buttons and roomy cutouts plus it doubles as a sturdy stand as well through my scientific tap test which it performs even better when folded down in a drawing mode too the dragon armor really lives up to its aim here with these beefy shoulder pads and yeah this is an ipad being thrown around because i trust this case to handle being tossed onto a table it's also got a really thick lip around the screen i ain't even scared the magnetic flap folds into itself when flipped around great for when using the ipad one-handed so if you're looking for protection in a slim package and want that industrial tough look with that carbon fiber accent the rugged armor series can't be b but for those who swear to never drop their devices and love the size of the iphone as how apple intended it you can still complete your collection with a sleek carbon fiber skin from dbrand as well it's not a matte finish but it's definitely way better than the fingerprint magnet glossy finish of the iphone itself that goes for the ipads as well as dbrand offers precision cutouts so you don't have any sloppy edges or rage worthy misalignment of the apple logo the skin even has a textured feel to really give you that carbon fiber feel and it most definitely makes your device feel like some luxury car interior probably the easiest way to carbon fiber up your device without adding any bulk at all and the best part is when you're bored of it dbrand uses the best of the best 3m vinyl which doesn't leave any residue behind plus that skin itself is weirdly stronger than i am when you do pick one up though don't worry installation is literally this easy bam they also offer this non-cutout version in case you really have a carbon fiber fetish or something although it does make a perfect pair for the rugged armor cutouts to add that splash of bling now if black on black on black isn't their thing d brand also offers a few color options too in case like banana yellow is more your jam next up the carbon fiber wallet of choice this is the aviator slide and a huge shout out to aviator for setting out this custom canada money clip edition the wallet itself is pretty simple though two carbon fiber plates that are bound together with elastic with a sliding card cutout a pull tab for even quicker access and a sliding drawer around back which is my favorite part the wallet is capable of storing up to 20 cards which is insane and nobody should actually but with a normal amount of about four cards it tucks away neatly but is still easily retrievable thanks to the pull tab you're also then able to fan them out and you've got a visual reference to each and every one of them i think eight cards is way too many as well but the elastic wraps around it no problemo even through my scientific shake test i personally like the contrasting texture of the money clip to the carbon fiber it makes the design really pop and it also works really well in storing your canadian bills too now that valet tray hidden inside is where the fun begins although fairly flat it's enough to store keys coins and sd cards basically anything relatively slim so no daily essentials will not fit unfortunately sliding it back in it's all hidden away and nothing is sticking out but it's all easily accessible like going into a drawer to grab a pair of underwear there's just so much elastic going on nothing is falling out of this chunk of carbon fiber and that's really the beauty of it given it's the exact dimensions of a credit card it feels really nice to hold in the hand without any additional bulk it doesn't end there you can even customize the feel of that too pop open the top shell with the included screwdriver and well bam the elastic tensions can be loosened or tightened if you want to carry more or less and it's a level of customization i didn't know i needed until now thanks to carbon fiber being super lightweight this won't weigh you down but will also keep what's inside safe from being thrown around sort of an all-in-one solution for a wallet keys and a pouch that feels good to hold and will make any carbon fiber fan excited to show off now if you are packing more than one or two keys we're going back to the og q ring for that this time with an m gear magnetic kydex key holder installed i've got the carbon fiber plate design but they do offer a few to choose from it's a dead simple concept compared to other fancy key organizers basically it solves this issue but with the two plates that slap together magnetically now you don't sound like a reindeer when you're walking down the hallway you don't have to learn anything new how to use it and you don't have to change what you have you just have to throw these between your keys and well bam you are limited to about four keys but that's more than enough for like 94 percent of you up there and it's made of kydex so it's light but strong and if you're looking for a super affordable fidget toy you've just found yourself one that you'll always have with you it's weirdly addicting on that same key wing though this little bugger from zero hour their edge pocket knife made of carbon fiber handles and a steel housing and about as small as half my index finger while still offering enough room for a quick flip tab and a lever lock don't mistake the size for anything else but a serious knife just trunking a little less than three and a half centimeters the s35vn steel blade is sharp but more importantly it's tough and corrosion resistant so you don't have to worry about it being used in any situation although realistically it'll simply be the most convenient box cutter to carry with you so it's there when you need it without sticking out and not something that'll scare everyone around you when you pull it out to use for some more serious tooling though there's the leatherman skeletool cx sure it only offers seven tools but all of those you'll use on a daily basis like its main seller the 154cm stainless steel blade that's instantly accessible to deploy and utilizes a liner lock to keep it in place to handle any box that stands in your way then there's the pliers a tool at first you probably think only your dad would ever need but you'd be surprised how often something needs a solid grip to yank tighten or strip off finally on the bottom you gotta have the bit driver utilizing their flat bits to save some space even including a dedicated spot for an extra combine that all with the decently sized body it makes it comfortable to grip and give any of these tools some solid torque although not built with carbon fiber the slight accent is a sleek touch as you'd want to feel the steel in your hand when you're clamping away finally it's the little details that matter on this with the built-in carabiner doubling as a bottle opener as well although that does also mean you don't need an extra sheath or pocket to carry this just clip this onto your keys or belt and trust you'll have the necessary tools to tackle most of your daily needs this next item is overkill on the carry being the third knife he'll have on you but i couldn't say no to this beauty this dejo composite blade utilizes a carbon fiber handle with a black titanium coated stainless steel blade it's not the fanciest strongest or even the longest lasting blade out there but if you want a looker this is it it's a minimalistic stream weighing in under 40 grams but still very usable with the liner lock keeping the nine and a half centimeter blade secured it can do some damage to any letter or photo of your ex you need to discard when folded up the design allows the blade to do all the showing off while the carbon fiber frame keeps your hands and pockets safe come on all the blackout fans out there let me know in the comments down below now no adc is complete without a pen so we've got the boker plus kid caliber 50 tactical pen which is a mouthful way to say that this is a very fun and clicky pen to use it writes very smoothly thanks to its compatibility with fisherspace pen cartridges a channel favorite but the bulkier sharpie-like body design wrapped in carbon fiber offers a surprisingly comfortable grip for long sessions it uses a bolt action clicking mechanism which in itself is another addictive fidget tool that may or may not annoy everyone around you but the end caps are aluminum based coated in titanium for that matte finish with a solid clip to store it in your pocket securely as well and while yes it is called a tactical pen with the hardened tips included around it you could use it as one but given its stumpy size it may be best suited to just doodling in your notebooks instead once i laid eyes on this i couldn't say no to including it another from endgear this is their magnetic multi belt with a carbon fiber buckle finish at first glance this hunk of belt is tough made of a metal structure the buckle itself secures it magnetically and does a fantastic job at keeping it closed when needed but the star of the show is this a metallic coin knife design that's magnetically stored in the center of it flip that out and what bam a tiny claw in the palm of your hands i promise this is the last blade that i'll feature but it was too wicked to miss it's built tough and sharp it can handle most tasks like a regular sized tool can too when you're done you just spin it back to store the blade safely away it's also just really cool to hold on to something the size of a coin toss it back onto the buckle and you essentially always have a tool with you that just looks super steampunk on your belt the belt itself is a 38 millimeter nylon webbing that just feels super tough especially when combined with the heavy duty buckle combo this is one of the toughest belts you'll ever own this next one is pretty extra it's a little impractical but totally cool to have on you another one from mgear this is the edc health capsule holder and something about it makes me feel like i'm some dragon ball z character carrying some sensu beans you've probably seen these before metal canisters that are capable of carrying some extra cash pills or whatever other really tiny objects you need with you just in case this is pretty much the same but in a really wicked looking and feeling leather and carbon fiber combo holster i've got these stainless steel capsule options here they are water sealed with an o-ring and these specifically are on the more spacious side for capsule carry that i've tested previously they're totally capable of carrying a backup snack on the go the thick leather is fitted to keep the capsules in place firmly and come on yes it's not something anyone really needs but you would totally look next level carrying this on a strap or you know combine it with the toughest belt you'll ever own and now you're living in 2033. lastly i couldn't skip this this is from chicago combs it's literally an all-carbon fiber composite that's been cut out to look like a comb and probably the last comb you'll ever need this isn't some cheap plastic build that'll start breaking off over time it'll keep you looking fresh time and time again thanks to the anti-static heat and chemical resistance you didn't even know you needed such an advanced comb obviously of course step one is to actually have hair to comb so i'm not the perfect model for it but i do enjoy swinging around on the finger loop it gives me total cowboy vibes and who doesn't love a little carbon fiber cowboy goodness in their life that's the mini carbon
