mini barndominium build 6 guys 8 hour

how you doing everyone it's kevin it's uh the day of the build early in the morning the guys are at work right now on the house so let's get on with this build [Music] so [Music] so [Music] okay driving yeah [Music] oh so [Music] so so so good so okay we've been watching them build for a while you don't normally hear them say too much to each other they don't really talk that much unless they're you know giving orders to another worker there that's about it but as you can see how long has this taken to avoid going about 8 30 and it's what now so they've been here about from 8 30 to 1 30 and they they don't mess around and i'm looking and i've went through the whole entire thing looking at the walls seeing how straight they are and everything and so far everything is really nice and straight really liking what i'm seeing so we're going to continue videoing here and see if we can get them put in the house or the roof on and the walls up okay okay come on [Music] this boy is humping me watch him as soon as he gets it over there they're ready to put it up he runs back grabs another one [Music] and he will run it back oh not me man it'd take me a long time to build this wow so [Applause] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] good day at school [Applause] [Applause] yeah yeah one here on in the front on this side which will be the kitchen the living room on that side will have one over the bathroom over here one side and then [Music] [Music] all right everybody's gone julie and i have been cleaning up a little bit we have a huge pile of scraps and stuff that has to get rid of we're figuring about eight hours it took them to build this structure and all they had was poles sticking out of the ground as you guys seen this morning and that's what we ended up with now the windows like we said uh they won't be in until uh next month the 21st they're going to come back they're going to be wrapping the post on the porch they'll wrap them post they'll put all the windows in and if you're wondering why there's a garage door it looks like a garage door doesn't it if you're wondering why the door or there's a big opening here that's to get the concrete into this building because now that it's built though once i get all the plumbing in the floor get it all situated where we need it put and get it inspected they'll come in and they will do the concrete work so now my understanding we're not going to have much maybe an inch lip going into that house there shouldn't be much more than an inch going up in there so we should be able to get a wheelchair through there if we had to with not a big ramp or anything so the porch will slope out it'll go one foot past the post all the way around now we're going to box this in but julie and i are probably gonna get some really nice wood run it through the sawmill and box that in but it'll be dry we'll let that wood dry any wood we put in the house will be dry now let's see here the first 16 feet of this structure from right there up to there is going to be the kitchen and then the kitchen and the living room will be all one big room so as you can see we have the cathedral ceiling and the kitchen and the living room so the kitchen and living room is going to be 16 by 24 and i think that's going to be fine with us there was the ditch i was working on and one nice thing is is the ditches that i worked on and the ones i have to work on at least i'll be under roof now so that'll be nice they already framed in all the windows the windows have been framed in with uh two by sixes we just have to add our walls to them our walls meet up with all the windows it's not many windows in this structure there's one right there above the kitchen sink one right there above the commode one in this small bedroom one in that small bedroom and then one right up there in the living room this doorway will go right into the utility room which will be right in here so that's uh the build for one day these guys did an awesome job it was j m carpentry out of ohio and you know some of them videos that i did i tried to show you guys how straight these walls are and as you've seen them guys when they were running around there they all had their own job and you didn't hear a lot of talking but look at this wall look at that wall yeah is that straight or what that is like straight as straight can be look at the ease look how straight everything is so straight it's hard to see uh that was one of the reasons i had got a hold of these guys i actually seen quite a few the buildings that they had done garages and they had actually built my neighbors rick a lot of you guys know rick they built all of his buildings over there and uh they did a really nice job like i said just look look at how straight that is that metal is perfectly straight i don't know how they did it i had a hard time on the garage me and julie built it at the workshop but uh we come out and cleaned up a little bit of dirt around here because this is where we get our most water from we want to make sure we got this clean before it does rain look at these walls look at that wall how do you get it any straighter than that i i don't know it's just they did a just a phenomenal job oh i can't say enough i love the eaves they did really really nice on all the eaves now someone will come back and put the gutters on i will do another video later once they get the windows in and probably as we're going uh we'll do videos as we're going on the structure itself but for these guys for j m i'm telling you they did a great job i would recommend them highly recommend them to come in and build these guys don't waste no time they did a great job we just have to get on the plumbing get the plumbing back he said it wouldn't be long they'd come out and do the concrete as soon as we get the plumbing done and get it inspected oh we're going to have concrete in here and then we can kind of slow down now the main thing was is to get this structure done enough to where you know everybody's out and then we can take our time and start framing in all the walls you know we do have to frame two to six walls in between all these walls so there's still a lot to do so i would like to tell j m thank you guys you did a very nice job julie and i appreciate what you guys have done for us oh and i'd like to tell everybody else thanks for
