Mimosa Networks: A5x Access Point Mounting

hello and welcome to the a5x installation video with me dustin stock today we're going to go through how to mount this radio to a pole and how to hook it up to an antenna so before we get started just so you know the n545x2 does not come with the a5x they're sold separately and the rpsma to end connectors also do not come with the antenna or the radio so you have to buy those separately as well so let's go ahead and get started so first we'll go ahead and we'll put on the hose clamp real quick all right so keep in mind once you have the a5x mounted that it does have a gps antenna on top so you want to make sure that the the top is not obstructed by anything so for our purposes i'm going to just install it like this and then i'm going to take the cables and screw them on top here all right and so we're going to just kind of clean this up a little bit here real quick also don't forget to do mastic tar tape or some kind of sealing tape on your connectors here along with your antenna connectors as well and then the last thing we have is the new ip67 ethernet gland so this is the standard gland that many of you have probably familiar with over the years from other vendors so it's the exact same thing as uh as those guys so we're just going to pop the rubber seal out make sure to put the end cap on first put your rubber seal on there and then the main piece we'll go ahead and screw the main piece of the gland on we'll go ahead and stick your rubber washer in there and then screw on the end cap okay and so that's all there is to the a5x install we'll catch you next time on the next mimosa video you
