Mike Fielding at O Comic Con

hey everybody Dustin Dale's back here at Oh Comic Con all sorts of great things you can check out here including some of the media guests and right now I'm joined by a UK comic a good guy right here how you doing man I'm good yeah very good bit jet-lagged but I'm right as am i I'm so excited you know of course I'm spacing all these things I see all these people I'm so excited there's so many great things you can check out here now Mike tell me a little bit about about your show you got a big show that you had you were working on called luxury comic yeah well luxury comedy it was some I don't know obviously if people have seen Boosh like that's weird that's like very weird on the scale but but luxury comedy is even weirder it's like it's like Boost times 20 is like it was in science especially a mixture of sketches and animation that but you know from my brother's mind and yeah a lot of people they watched it and they were like this is too much this is too weird we like it we can see what you're doing but it was just it just threw them off the edge a little bit yeah and but it was fun it was fun to film because when I got to play a few more characters I played a Yoko Ono I played a doctor with a racing car coming out my head very surreal it sounds really weird which one was your favorite what character yeah I liked playing Yoko Ono there's a scene where I'm playing I'm playing conkers with Andy Warhol and there yeah I'm and he's losing to Yoko and that was pretty cool add a big giant honker yeah that was fun now you're originally from UK you're a comedian do you get around America much doing a lot of stand-up comedy on I'm we went when bush was big like war well that was Val years ago no we we did a few gigs we did like a mixture of music and comedy we do a lot of there's a lot of songs in the show so we did some like yeah music gigs we played the Roxy and then Bowery Ballroom that was pretty cool so yeah we did like a lot of comedy and then at the end of the show we did like three or four tracks with a band and now we had a bush band yeah that was that was pretty cool we didn't call me store as well that was yeah to play that to see all the photos on the wall but everyone they played like all of our heroes were like oh my god this is crazy what's one of the comics that you love to work with someday or have worked with oh we've worked with a lot of people actually we're big Trailer Park Boys fans and then we I don't know where where we were but we bumped into them and the week we got a chance him and they're big fans of ours so in their last series for Netflix they they got me know involved in one of the episodes because they film around Europe and they did one in London so they got us involved in that so I dressed up as a monkey I play monkey monkeys and animals a lot my brother think my brother is trying to tell me that ya know he hates me or something no no but yeah is that Mike Mike you can be a monkey or you can be you know an animal but no that was fun we were just walking around London and stuff we went to Buckingham Palace I was standing outside terrorizing tourists just like poking them like as a monkey don't go here whatever I was going on that was pretty fun hopefully you didn't actually tell him you were what you were doing just there as a monkey right yeah so you were here Oh Comic Con people come check you out this weekend do you do all these conventions what do you what kind of reactions you get from these people I've done this my like for fun now in the States yeah I did them they fund I like them because you get to see the fans in the flesh as well he's like doing live live when we do a live show no when I told a couple years ago around the states and we did some salad and you know but you see all the Bush fans even though it wasn't a booth show people still come dressed as Bush characters and say it's really warm and yeah it's nicing your fans in the flesh because when you get like where did a TV show when you get like you get figures right you know told you get told about figures it's like they're just numbers whereas when you see them in the flesh you go okay yeah they're our fans yeah well it's got to be nice to meet everybody and if you're a fan of Mike fielding Harry make sure you come out this weekend check him out he'll be here all week long right here Oh Comic Con Council Bluffs Iowa the mid-america Center make sure you can check him out Mike thank you so much for your welcome thank you thank you take care guys
