Michigan Highlights vs Ohio State - Michigan Radio Call

state territory all the way to the 47-yard line gain of eight third and one shotgun haskins the running back to the right of mcnamara haskins has it he fights his way to the 40-yard line he's going to get the first down not by much but he didn't need much second down and 10 wolverines from the buckeyes 40 in motion and throw to the motion man that's henning henning tries to get to the edge he gets to the edge he works downfield he's got the first down inside the 30. oh they rule him out of bounds at the 32 [Applause] here's the third down play haskins breaks it to the 20. inside and he fights his way to the 15 yard line and down inside to the 14. third and one and haskins explodes over left guard for a first down good for 17. well a great hole off the left side he wasn't challenged until he hit the second level and when he got to that second level after the initial contact hassan haskins ran for six additional yards ultimately carrying three buckeyes with him shaw and simon were two of them but haskins has a first down here's a quick reverse and it's got room at the 10-yard line down inside yeah touchdown michigan [Applause] a little sleight of hand by the wolverines henning started at the left wide receiver spot they threw the running back donovan edwards over there and faked a pass and then they flipped it to hitting on the reverse and dan it was ready to go right from the start make every drive count and he's got three oh and they fumble that snap early on a bad call this michigan crowd is into it and they caused the first mistake by a high stake look stroud standing in his goal line in the gun gets the ball back to throw looks throws that ball is overthrown and incomplete and the wolverines hold the buckeyes on their first possession to a three and out well haven't we turned the other cheek henning standing at the 50-yard line to return this kick from murco this is an end over end kick kenny backs up lets it hit takes it to 45 turns up field he's got room at the 40-yard line of ohio state inside the 40 to the 39 that's where michigan will take over first and ten 16-yard return on a 50-yard punt shotgun for mcnamara back to throw looks throws he's got his receiver this is wilson wilson inside the 15-yard line on first down the wolverine strike quick pass back to throw again mcnamara looks down the middle throws a bullet it's intercepted and they're bringing it back and he's out of bounds at the 22-yard line stroud gets the ball back to throw looks he's getting hit pressured sac time the wolverines with aidan hutchinson gets shroud back at the 14-yard line they'll be forced to kick it away and the red zone stopped by michigan looks like it'll keep them the lead and michigan that time just came with a standard four-man pressure they just didn't bring anything exotic but aidan hutchinson wins his battle he gets inside dejuan jones a guy so big he has his own zip code and gets a sack 21-yard attempt the kick is up and it's good by noah ruggles michigan on this third and two go empty backfield now they bring haskins back to line up left of mcnamara all is in motion they give it to haskins haskins got the first down breaks a tackle at the 38 gets to the 41. third down and seven now he brings haskins back and he sets haskins to his left in the gun back to throw mcnamara pressure coming looks throws gets rid of the ball but he was being rushed and almost sacked by steel chambers as the protection broke down and michigan will have to kick it away to the buckeyes robins to kick it away smithing deep for ohio state robbins the end over end kick high smith backs up and catches it at the three-yard line but he's gonna get a flag for interference here comes the rush stroud back to throw pressure coming throws underneath the ball is tipped and out of bounds incomplete looked like mike smart with the bike morris morris might have got it got a hand down the football it was intended for a lava five detached field over the 35 it's good for the first down cornelius johnson on the slant wolverines move the chains gain of 11. they get the snap haskins goes right up over the middle and he forces his way over right guard just power football to the 40 and they move the chains back to throne mcnamara looks throws deep down the sideline he's got a receiver it's caught saint ristol has it at the two yard line man coverage it's cornelius johnson not saint ristol with the catch and a fly round the wolverines are inside the five yard line gain of 37 from the half yard line haskins kissing again he dives he's in hassan haskins touchdown michigan dan dierdorf you talk about an answer well michigan goes down 10-7 they take the ball and re-take the lead with a jake moody field extra point they'll be up 14-10 stroud in the gun gets the snap back to throw looks throws he's got smith and jigba but he'll be short of the first down at the 12-yard line great defense out there by michigan that's moton again it's a good snap the kick is up and the kick is through they snap it give it to henderson henderson his head he's losing yardage oh he lost the couple all the way back to the 30-yard line they give it to cora he's over the left side he breaks it he's at midfield he's in the open at the 30 the 20 chase down from behind inside the 15-yard line of ohio state they give it to haskins he's around right and touchdown start with a three and out by the michigan defense that's give the credit to the 11 guys on the field but really all set up by that defensive three and out by the michigan d to start this half give josh ross an assist on that touchdown you got that right moody on to attempt the extra point robbins gets the snap good hold moody with the kick it's up it's good now back to throw pressure coming from mojavo pressure coming here it comes it's sack time aidan hutchinson drops stroud at the 39-yard line fourth down ohio state from their own 22 back to throw throws a swing route one-handed and they're inside the 10-yard line of the buckeyes mike sane ristol on the other side he did a wheel out of there and uncovered by the by the ohio state secondary again play action to haskins and then another throw beautiful right on the money mccarthy gets the snap he rolls to his left gets outside he's gonna run it he's at the four spins inside he's down to the two yard line oh we've got another little skirmish going on you got an ohio state ripped off he ripped off a helmet that's simon down there and it's burke he tore off the helmet of roman wilson well this one's going to come on guys this one's all good this one's got a flag already there's a skirmish roman wilson's helmet is gone well you can't rip a guy's helmets off a helmet but we don't need to get one on top of it if there is going to be one on ohio state well donovan edwards was also in the middle and now he's exhorting the crowd to get into this game these officials are going to have to sort this out dan and there's two flags now thrown as the officials gathered in a meeting at the 10-yard line you got to wonder if we're not going to get the dreaded offsetting penalties let's for some light conduct defense number 26 for lifting up the helmet first and goal they turn they give it to haskins he's going to go around left hand he's going to score hassan heskins his third touchdown of the day a one-yard run and the wolverines extend their lead over the buckeyes they just caved in the right side of the ohio state defense and haskins walked in short of the pylon in the left corner of the end zone and the wolverines take a bigger lead stroud hands it to henderson henderson tries does he get in there's no signal yet there's no signal yet and they look like he did get in there's a signal now from the official on the near sideline touchdown ohio state mcnamara calls for the snap back to throw looks he's going to go deep and he's going to have interference you betcha this is an interference call against ohio state that's denzel burke who tackled roman wilson the wolverines will get benefit of the interference call [Applause] what are you guys are you gonna are you gonna believe me or are you gonna believe you're lying eyes in the gun to haskins haskins left guard touchdown michigan just power football dan that's the offensive line getting it done and that is a heck of an answer to ohio state score you better believe it flawless execution creativity on first down shotgun for stroud second 12. he's back to throw he looks he's throwing deep down the sideline that ball is oh caught by a lava over the top of dj turner burt back to throw it's it's a fumbo it's recovered by ohio state but they lose the ball all the way back to the 31-yard line he gets the ball he's back to throw pressure coming looks throw to the sideline there's a flag thrown it's caught by wilson at the 14. that'll be good for a first down going to get a mission michigan has an interference call against gray and they're going to show blitz back to throw stroud he throws that ball is caught at the 10-yard line double move it's short of a first down by five yards but it gives ohio state a shorter way to go they snap the ball straight throws in the flat and it's over over hutchinson it's going to be a touchdown oh no they give the ball to haskins heskins breaks it he's at midfield and he got the first down into ohio state territory at the 48-yard line they give it to hassan again breaks it right he's got the first down he's at the 35-34 he's still going to the 31-yard line yeah baby that's it oh my god michigan's offensive line they are getting it done hamilton on the stop but this is a physical physical drive right here which is what you want in the fourth quarter against your rival and ohio state now forced to use a timeout with three minutes to go michigan leading by eight they've got a first and ten at the ohio state 31 in the shotgun is mcnamara two receivers foot wide right they give it to hassan hassan breaks it he's at the 20 the 10 leads over a man inside the five to the four yard line hassan haskins put your wolverines on your back and carry them to this victory 27 yards for hassan haskins he's up over 150. mcnamara gets the snap gives it the haskins baskin scores untouched from the four-yard line his fifth of the day and the wolverines extend their lead just take this team on your back hassan and bring this victory home that almost looked like ohio state let them in i mean they that was a defensive surrender that might have been on purpose i think it was guys i think it was too i think they i think they just let him in instead of them burning off more clock stroud in the gun henderson to his left back to throw stroud pressure coming he's checked down from behind sock time david stroud and here we go that's the fourth down this is the football game right here fourth down and long back to throw ojavo gets back there forces stroud out throw the ball down that's caught but it's short of the first down that's it it's caught this and great covering it's caught by a lava but it's five yards short of the first down that'll do it under a minute to play ladies and gentlemen wolverine nation the long drought is over ohio state is vanquished the wolverines are going to win this one i've never been more proud of a group of kids than a coaching staff in my entire life than i am of this 2021 version of the michigan wolverines [Music] you
