Micah Morris vs Kyle Berkshire | EPIC 9 Hole Match

[Music] so what's going on guys welcome back to the channel it is currently 15 a.m and we're out here at frisco lakes and um you already know what's about to happen you saw the thumbnail you saw the title it's gonna be pretty simple me and kyle are playing another match we played a match last week on his channel i did get the dub i won three and two it was a good match it was a very windy day that day and we decided we want to try to play a little earlier in the morning so that we can try to bypass some of that wind kyle how are you feeling i know you had a pretty good round yesterday feeling good i'm starting to really work on my game and starting to feel better each day with with the practice so you know i think we're both going to really be getting pretty good at this game over the next couple months because we're really serious about practice yeah that's very true and we both have some tournaments we kind of got our eyes set on so stay tuned for that and uh yeah we're just going to jump right into this starting on hole number 10. shout out to frisco lakes for letting us come out here this early course is in great condition and i'm excited to be playing out here so hold on number ten i think i'm gonna be hitting the first tee shot because uh we're gonna basically what's gonna happen with these matches we're gonna bounce back and forth hopefully every week if our schedules allow it so stay tuned for a lot more matches coming between me and kyle and they get crazy par four about 390 yards from the tips so he's chasing up the left center that should be pretty good to be honest hopefully it doesn't go everything feeds pretty hard to the left here so hopefully it doesn't make its way out of the fairway but either way feeling pretty good about that one that's really good the right side right edge two good tee shots to start the day all right i got 100 yards on the dot um i got 60 degree in hand just trying to play this a little bit back in my stance and bring it in a little lower switch to 56 degree that winds just up there it's a bit long right literally hit this driving iron like 340 it was like 330 yards and i think it may have just got an unfortunate bounce but it ended up right here he's got this is what he's looking at right here i'm gonna go with a four iron here so i can take a less of a swing and i'm really just gonna try to just get good contact and the entire goal here if i get man i'm gonna choke down a lot and try to give myself some uh ability to hit this shot without hitting that tree i'm really just gonna try to scoot it up through that little gap right there wow come on that was really good i i'll take that that was about as good as i could have done guys this is where my ball ended up definitely not a good shot from 100 yards but i got to deal with it kyle just got hit to the front of the green which is a really good place to be chipping from just just a bit long there that just jumped well we're off to a good start with the very slow start today both got long putts for part here on the first hole which is it's something but got to get loosened up this morning it's early i told kyle on the range i said morning like playing golf this early in the morning is probably one of my favorite things so it's a good day i got my coffee gonna be sipping on that all morning it's like 65 degrees that's just epic that was a great putt i am going to give him that for his bogey guys couple bogeys to start the day there on hold 10 but matches all square after one all right hole number two par four 430 yards we're both just gonna take it right at the right edge of this bunker here and try a little fade it's usually fine on that line but it may have hit a tree so i might have to hit another one just to make sure that is a little bit right that is going to be close to the green guys mine did hit a tree and get knocked down but i am in okay position probably got about 130 yards or so gonna hit a little 52 degree it's a good shot i would take that should have about 20 feet for birdie all right guys kyle hitting his four shot about 60 yards it's a pretty good shot there all right this is what i'm looking at for birdie up i got about 25 30 feet straight up the hill it's good kyle conceded that from my par but it was a little bit of a misread guys i made par kyle bogey and that gets me one up after two holes par three 161 yards to the pin i'm playing i got an eight iron it's a little uphill there's nothing over there but that's about 30 yards right of the green we're at the same club and yeah just gonna try to draw it in there the wind is holding it on the same line [Music] probably going to be really close to each other over there guys we're both right here we're 25 yards short of the pin just not not good shots there but we both got a little wedge in hand just a touch long great shot thanks all right guys kyle continued this this is where my shot ended up i'll take that from over there number four guys um part three one of the shorter shorter par threes here but i got two iron just trying to go just left of that bunker there um what two are gosh that was hit well um squared that one up it hopefully actually doesn't roll through the fairway but it was 285 to the end of that bunker so should be all right kyle with three iron yeah perfect shot there just drawing over the center of that bunker all right i got 83 yards 60 degree in hand being called both of the fairway here no way that's what happens when you miss little yeah punished a little bit shaky this morning i don't know what it is but i always say we're playing we're both playing the same course same day 68 yards for kyle just a just perfect position here these greens are gosh these greens are rolling faster than i've seen them roll in a very long time just on the fringe here about 20 feet maybe for birdie that's good that i had a lot of break in the first half of it but managed to figure it out make me another part here that is good as well guys that's two pars here on the fifth hole of today's match and i ruined it two up in the match 262 yard tar three um i got four iron coyotes probably got five four four iron as well so it's just a monster of a hole here get to the front i think that's about i can't really see but let me see if i can zoom in here and we can get a peek at it oh my goodness just on the just on the front that's that's a great shot guys i was tripping okay kyle's ball literally landed right there i'm on the green i'm on the front of the green he hit his farther than i did so pretty good shots here on that i mean 260 yard par par 3 that is literally insane touch guys the greens out here at fresco today i i mean i think they kind of they top sanded them and they are absolutely rolling extremely well so kyle conceded this i got about a two footer there we playing in the morning we're playing in between some guests so we're trying to be courteous to them and not slow them down so we're kind of being a little more generous with our putts really good putt there all right guys so after five holes i remain two up in the match with two solid parts there on the longest par three in texas anyway two up in the match with uh four holes to play how you feeling i'm feeling good you know i just i'm just looking forward to continuing to improve my game there's just a few things i got to work on but it's all going to improve in due time so i'm optimistic me and kyle both it's all about it's all about uh progress not perfection that's what i like to say look at that 572-yard par-5 i'm hitting driver just going to try to take it right at those two dark green trees it should be okay it's it kind of got held up a little bit but it was it was moving a little too much to the right for my liking it's kind of on the same line as mine i would say that we're probably we're probably like we're not playing our best today well here's what i was saying we show every shot so some of our stuff isn't going to be unbelievable golf but i think it's important because you know we're going to be playing tournaments every shot's going to be out there so i mean exactly what what's the point of hiding stuff if we're going to be playing in tournaments i mean it's crazy because we could obviously curate this content and make it look extremely appealing all the time but obviously i don't want to do that i want to be real so i mean we're showing you guys everything and it's some some days are just not as good as other days and you got to learn how to play through it and that's what we're doing today and i hope we hope that seeing these not great showings and then these great showings help you guys get a realistic view of what golf really is all about yeah that's so true all right guys i got 240 yards to the pin or 249 yards to the pin it's downwind i'm just gonna hit a five iron and it's probably going to land a little short but i think that's kind of where i want to be just kind of run it up there a little [Music] bit i'm feeling risky today because most of the time i would not try that shot kyle probably only has 167. 182 is what i got 182 for kyle that was an absolute monster of a drive what club you hitting i got pitchy wedge pitching wedge from 182 yards that almost landed in the hole where that end up just over the green guys i'm going to text mike here in a little bit and figure out what they're doing with these pins out here today well we've been speculating there's got to be some kind of event going on at this club today or maybe just because of masters i don't know the superintendent just felt like making people's lives miserable but i do like it yeah it really forced you to be to hit it in the right side of the flag which we're not doing right now shot thanks got about three feet left for birdie there a little bit of a slider let's call for eagle goodness that that was a good putt gosh dang it that is an unfortunate par it makes me a little sad but oh well i am one up with three holes to play here in today's match it's been a little all over the place but it is competitive so stay tuned three holes left a lot can happen all right guys hold number 16 this is our seventh hole of the day kyle's got driving iron i'm probably gonna hit driver or three wood we'll see what happens that was a good birdie by him on the last hole perfect little draw good ball stay short of the bunker please first time for everything i've never hit a ball out of this bunker and this is what i'm looking at probably got about 150 yards maybe 160 of that pin and then kyle is down here in the fairway that's really short of the green it's short but honestly to get it to get it to that position i'm really happy with because almost half of that ball was like below the level of the sand so to get it to there i feel good about it okay i still got 183 a bit of a headwind it's going to seven iron just trust the shot and whatever happens happens good right that was a little right i think it's in the hazard up there guys unfortunately we couldn't find it so kyle's hitting his his fourth shot from right here got about 40 yards to the pin it's a little short there where my ball ended up obviously it's about 40 yards short but i'm pretty happy to be able to get it to here to be honest all right guys kyle has this first five a little bit long there good six all right guys i made my par and that gets me back to two up with two to play here and today's match with me and kyle it's been a crazy day but we're fighting through it and i think it's it's it's still a lot of fun and i hope you guys are enjoying this so far and uh two more holes to play so stay tuned hole number eight par four another pretty long one it's about 415 yards or so from back here but i got two iron in hand looks like kyle's got three iron a little uh low flaming dart there this is way zoomed in that should actually roll a good ways and have maybe about 150 in it's going a little bit left it should be okay though probably get a kickball kick right 186 yards to the pin here you can see it just over the top of this uh it's kind of peeking over there i got 171 yards to this pin it's kind of hard to tell what this wind is doing i think it's straight into but that pin is so far back into the right that i'm not really going to go for it i'm going to play a little left of the pen here i didn't really want to flirt with uh trying to get something close to that panty everything everything to the right just falls straight off all right kyle has 110 yards left here for his third shot got a little wedge in hand i was wrong again okay but i'm right here kyle's right here kyle's hitting his fourth shot i'm hitting my third shot just skips by the hole there see if i can get this up and down from my par that'd be nice i'll take it got about five foot for par there and uh hopefully to close out this match that's good just slides by there well guys that wraps it up for today's match um i took the dub on hole number eight you know what i'm it's it's it's one of those days we we didn't neither of us had our best days but the thing is is this is this gonna stop us from competing against each other because we didn't have good days probably i was not expecting that but that is a hard no he he probably doesn't want to say it now and i mean we've all been there but i love the guy i love competing against him to be honest and totally genuine with you guys i struggle greatly with my mental game and and that is my biggest weakness is mental game and that's what i think a lot of people are held back by so it's probably the hardest thing to work on because it's not something you can tangibly feel or practice but like the mind is so powerful and it's yeah that's that's that's the biggest thing i think a lot of people are trying to work on and so yeah and i saw a comment the other day somebody commented one of my videos and so they were saying about how like it's been like so bad that people show emotion on the course nowadays but as long as you can control it it's not a bad thing because we all have emotions and you just got to learn how to kind of dial it back when you need to but it was good playing it's fine man and we will see you guys uh soon back on kyle's channel for another match so if you haven't subscribed to him make sure
