shouldn't follow us on deaf to radio instagram that's right we will be promoting our instagram on every video so if i was also on deaf the radio when this video eventually maybe a year two eight years from now potentially could make it to youtube you know what i'm saying follow us on the radio you'll see instagram right there uh in the uh uh somewhere in the video deaf number two radio that's our new instagram follow us there and speaking of master of puppets i know you guys saw the stranger things you know eddie munson shredfest you know the [ __ ] master puppets [ __ ] reiteration while the [ __ ] world is [ __ ] the under what's the under upside down world what the [ __ ] they call that [ __ ] when [ __ ] was going crazy and [ __ ] he was shredding on top of a [ __ ] trailer and [ __ ] that was dope though that was actually a really really cool scene that was a cool ass scene i know meadow has rejoice man you know the metal heads around the world shed a tear on that one that was hard that was that was so all right man let's get into we're going to do leper messiah funny thing is man before we get into it i can't remember one request for this song since we've been doing one i can't remember one now i'm not saying we haven't gotten them i just don't this has not come up other than just do that this is the only song on master puppets that i don't remember seeing many requests for so i don't know what that says but we'll see metallica leper messiah [Music] so [Music] [Music] wow [Music] falling to your knees [Music] [Music] [Music] with metallica but it just rocks to me it just rocks man it just rocks you know uh i agree george it metallica to me you know um when they their crown jewels that what i that i love a lot from them um this doesn't compare to but i will say this right here would be a [ __ ] masterclass song for some bands some bands this would be the best that they can do so what it what basically what i'm saying is metallica on a bad day is better than some [ __ ] on their best day you know what i'm saying seriously you know what i'm saying i'm like because i can still um get through this and jam out and i still like their um progressions in the music and their change-ups and how they approach music even though i'm not a fan of uh the lyricism here and um that please please i'm not a a fan of that but oh the delivery yeah how they hide the shouting not a fan of that but i would say um the way that this song got into the groove especially in the verses it sounds like metallica it sounds very cohesive the only part that i'm a little iffy on is that please blaze and that that um it's a little cringy to me but outside of that man i'm like dude metallica just on a bad day they still killing [ __ ] on that good day this is to me this is uh jordan wizards right here you know which is still good though you're looking at me like nah that ain't good but that's actually not that's not bad dude jordan was solid on the wizards i just think this is jordan when he was 23 he just had you know he just dropped you he just gave you 25 man that's all i just gave you 20 25 points you know to your point 20 25 for an average player is that that's amazing you know what i'm saying did he average like 21 points on the um on the wizards that's pretty good 20 21. hell yeah yeah that's pretty good that's so that's not a disc i'm not i don't want you guys i know you know that i don't want you guys their prime knows what i'm saying but it's like it's off track so i'm still enjoying it man i'm still enjoying it you know so yeah yeah this isn't um i don't think this is bad this is this is something i can i put it this way i wouldn't skip it i would let it rot yeah and i it does feel it does have that feeling of um uh it doesn't quite seem like such a monumental piece like disposable heroes or master puppets the song um it doesn't it doesn't have that same level of i would say just the layers the yellow songs but it doesn't mean that it doesn't rock you know what i'm saying it just rocks yep this came on up like yep cool i might be able to start a side conversation with someone i don't know if i'll be immersed in it you know rocking anyways that's banging in the background oh yeah i'm enjoying the show you know where you from girl you know all that [ __ ] yeah exactly you know i don't know if it would have me lasered in like disposable heroes would but it's it's a solid piece okay man let's uh get back to it again [Music] [Applause] [Music] goodbye me [Music] [Applause] [Music] so hey [Music] feel good [Music] if [Music] so [Music] foreign [Music] [Laughter] there with the drums and the guitar work that seems difficult man and just with the amount of momentum that they've that they're in in that part it's just and then they catch it back it seems like that just requires some pretty some pretty elite timing man but that i love the way that they did that because it's just just unique man let me tell you something y'all need to leave lara's alone lars is the truth to me everything that i've heard from him whether it be maybe not be as intricate or as difficult to something like this that sounds extremely difficult to me yeah it he seems like he's on point dude all the time i know that we've heard some some uh the undertone that lars is is not the best drummer and blah blah blah blah but dude i mean i think he's killing it man yeah you know it's it's the just because they've answered us about a billion times on this over the years so the combination of many people think that he's probably maybe a bit pompous you know what i'm saying i've heard the word astral [ __ ] thrown around a couple times you know you know so the way he carries himself and the whole napster thing or whatever happened with that you know so there's that and then on top of that they say live lars um you know as of recent over the la i would say i wouldn't say recent at this point but [Laughter] you know probably the last 10 years or so hasn't been has it been sharp live they say he's he's um you know kind of lost a few steps alive okay so but he's old though right he's oh hey just i agree but it's sort of a culmination of those three things that gets uh lars lars the hate just to kind of okay i get that though i mean if he's uh not the nicest person i get not liking him i get that yeah that means yeah yeah i don't i don't know who lars is yeah but but just you know talking about his uh abilities and what i'm hearing i'm like yeah that just sounds incredible man and this album man and i'm gonna say it now and i know you guys is not news to you guys but this album is phenomenal even though we still got a couple more songs to go you only need about three i would say about three good songs for me from an album three maybe four damn you got three a good three to four good songs and i'm like yeah i love that song i love that song i love that song i said that three times in an album it's a good album okay it's a good album to me okay you know what i'm saying you got three good songs and i'm like yeah that [ __ ] is hard that's a good album yeah and we're clearly over that yeah i haven't i had i haven't heard a skip put it that way i haven't heard one where i'm like no i'm definitely skipping that now i have i've heard now i've heard some that have just been i'm going to continue to play that quite often and i've heard something i'm like you know that's cool that can i can go i can i can be patient and rock that one out until i get to something else so i haven't heard that yet so i agree this is a seriously dope album man all right let's finish it up [Music] hey yes [Music] [Music] [Music] okay that didn't rock out though man okay [Music] yeah yeah oh damn oh okay [Laughter] my man james had that two four six hey hold on away i appreciate y'all that was the flow that james is on in this hole man but dude that [ __ ] rocked out back it really did man they are just um you know they're one of the only bands man that i can say in any genre you know um that i can actually not love a song but still listen to it they transition you so well into things that i don't like because i don't really like that sped up pace typically but the way that they're able to move and maneuver within it man it's just it's beautiful man it's really beautiful go ahead yeah no no i would really like to see um uh so behind the scenes on how they kind of constructed music i think i may have said this in the past but i would really like to see just them talking about it them talking about um how they where they want to go with the composition as they're creating it because that you can you can see them thinking when i listen to their music i'm like they're thinking they know that this part can get a little monotonous and you know a bit repetitive so before we before we lose them before we lose in transition here i can see i feel like i really can see points in time in a song where they know they need to maybe make some type of change and keep the listener guessing or keep the listener refreshed in some way and i really don't feel that way with many bands man i really feel like bands either they just do too much with the too many transitions they're overly trying to be overly complex and they don't really have a fluid song structure or um or they don't or or it's just monotonous or it's just kind of too much of the same thing and they just don't really know when to do it and i think that's just the difference between people who can make a little quick song and someone who can make a composition i mean it's just the skill level and the understanding of music so i just think that's what they get and on top of that they're not losing yeah i feel like the rawness they're not losing the essence of what i feel like metal is about but also not so biased towards just being completely immersed in all things metal that they can't soften you up a little bit in different ways yeah and make things a bit more palatable as well you know what i mean it's just again they're the ultimate when i think of balance and metal we've said this a billion times it's nothing new man i think of metallica just the the perfect balance the right vocalist which i think is a huge huge problem and uh for a lot of my i have done enough metal videos at this point i you know i've been keeping holding my tongue for a while i feel like i've listened to enough metal at this point to know that the achilles heel for the many many many metal bands i don't want to assign a percentage is the vocals that [ __ ] matters it may not matter to a lot of people but that matters to to some yeah to me that [ __ ] matters and they have a yeah i hear about the vocalist yeah just every little thing man they seem to just check all the boxes that need to be checked now some bands may be more complex vocals aren't right some bands may be heavier but it's so heavy to the point where it's not even musical you know what i mean so it's like they don't seem to have all the working pieces um to just create great balanced art but metallica seems to be one of the few bands that i've heard that does i feel like metallica should just be the reference standard as far as a metal band is concerned man because i know in my personal experience man i didn't hear about metal as as uh as so impactful and so dominant in the world until metallica came out they were just like bigger than life it was like the michael jordan [ __ ] effect just so impactful like even if you didn't listen to metal you knew metallica metallica i knew it in the sand man i i i didn't know much metal when i was coming up but entering the sandman i knew and i didn't even really listen to it but i knew that song though i knew that song you know so i feel like that just speaks volumes it does you know what i'm saying even though i know that transcendent man that was on the black album right i think um you know enter the same man and i know that that's you know you guys have you know voice sometimes some people love it yeah some people don't but it ain't that automatic yeah kind of like master puppets automatically yeah most part you know uh justice for all uh well right right the lightning i feel like that's all the matter exactly what i'm saying yeah yeah you know so but um but that was my first exposure to this man and quite frankly without that album without that song enter the sandman i don't know if i would have ever been open to metal without that song outside of the music obviously we all know metallica's great man but they were just so impactful man you know yeah uh to people that don't even listen to metal and that just speaks volume man volumes for someone that don't even listen to metal to be like yeah i know metallica and i can [ __ ] with this and i can [ __ ] with that you know it's just truly transcendent yeah man it's just the bridge and it's very rare that an a um a band could be a a crossover band yes and still be respected and still be great that typically doesn't happen yeah and it's funny man you know now that i'm thinking about this ryan i was just because i remember when we first did the master puppets video and we were doing metallica at first we were just we were doing slayer there's a couple bands that were just at the beginning of the journey that we were doing and people were like metallica there was a couple people not everybody but there's some people that are like man that's entry-level [ __ ] man that ain't that yeah you know and i was like you sure i was like i don't know man it's kind of i got a pretty good decent ear for music man i still think that this is done well and there were people a couple naysayers like overrated and that's every band there's not a banner or artist that's not overrated to somebody that's just the way the world works yep but there was uh enough people saying that for me to take notice put it that way i wouldn't call it the majority there's enough people and then we went through this whole journey we went to the deep the depths of metal right the deep dark crevices of metal we went the power metal we symphonic metal we did uh death metal we did all these forms of metal industrial we went deeper into thrash industrial right we went into oh progressive metal all these forms of metal and yet still to in my opinion this is probably the best metal band um outside of sabbath you know what i'm saying is metallica sabbath for me you know i mean that though they're neck and neck in my opinion but this is one of the greatest metal bands to ever yeah clearly salute to everybody that's uh been tuning in to us finishing up master of puppets and that's always been requesting this and metallica it's always a treat to do them man we have a good time because we see the love and appreciation you guys have for it so it makes us more uh amped to do it and we love doing metallica so that's the video if
