Metal Detecting The Old Swimming Hole

looks like we might have a lock a nice brass lock what do you think and do that well I made it for another little uh River Adventure today with Mike from great finds and you got here a little before me so he's already found oh what you say you got a wheat penny or a couple things and uh water's warm it's not bad it's raining a little bit on the way here from Pennsylvania but I think it's gonna go there from Pennsylvania I thought we were in Pennsylvania that's well I'm coming in okay let me show you what we're using today at Max zero program maximum sensitivity got discrimination up on 25 I'm gonna bump that down a little bit um not to worry about small iron but big Iron will uh take let's go ahead and dig this first signal together it's really loud so I don't have high hopes it's kind of in a low pressure see this rock right here low pressure area in the back this is a perfect place for pull tabs and stuff to get sucked back under when you come down the curtain get sucked back under there so all right or whatever is foreign that's a big nail so that should not have sounded like the signal that we heard unless I have my metal detector um have the iron audio if you have that on metal the iron will sound off sounds different that wasn't on so that's not what we were hearing so yeah there it is right there whatever it is the pin pointer doesn't know the difference between the iron ore anything else so it's taking me a while but on one hand it's not easy all right so this is our first Target it's um top to a can probably tucked in behind here and and sunk right underneath that rock light stuff like that so I'll get you back over and get something good I think this is actually a magnet though not a hundred percent but it looks like the little pieces of rust and stuff are sticking to it and somebody digging Magnet or it's out of like a speaker of some kind stuck a penny down there I can't really read the date but it's a definitely 100 wheat penny so that's a good sign for coins if there are any uh quarters or dimes or dollars in here there'll be silver or could be silver so most excellent first shotgun shell base this is a part of a sharpened cartridge 12 gauge and uh well that's about all there is to it really gives kind of a medium signal but a lot of buttons will sound like the signal this gives off kind of want to dig them if you're in a good Civil War Relic area Iron Man pretty awesome man I told everybody so that's a bad Omen now I'm gonna find out but iron now yeah exactly yeah I did just get a uh I thought it was awesome okay see it has the number and then on the back it'll tell you it'll charge you 25 cents if you lose that little thing oh really definitely a fire bullet but it's probably not a mini ball it could be an end field it could be something else I'm not sure it's really hard to say with some of these bullets because they use all different kinds during the war um it's probably 100 different kinds of both more than 100 different kind of bullets so you can't always tell easily some of them may have to look up this is what's called a rosette like a little Bullseye design with some fancy stuff around the edges this would be brass on that side this probably has lead here that's lead fill this could be Colonial air it could be 18 20s 30s there's this little fancy well it's like my headphones they go right here like this and if you want on each side so these are actually cool Little finds and obviously some horse lost it when it was going across the river here I could have tripped and got snagged on something but it fell off of its gear uh so this is really cool I'm really really happy with this this made my day really hot which is kind of weird because it's a little Santa Claus I do believe that's Mr Santa and it's I probably enamel I'm not sure but it looks like it might be enamel but it's on a very heavy piece of brass which is kind of odd I think maybe we're gonna have some really good luck yeah I'm trying to get struck by lightning so that's a nice big honking piece of brass or copper right there what do you think it is probably one of those tokens of the microphone I guess is it actually I don't know it's um definitely coppery brass not a coin I don't believe looks almost like it could be a flattened button that could be a shank on it right there that's smashed in I don't see any writing on it so I'm gonna go with a flattened uh flattened button but I could be wrong but we'll take a closer look at that a little bit later that's a good find though in a good sign like I always say waking up in the morning and taking a breath is a good sign this is a bowl to a spoon I do believe the keys broken off it's kind of weird because I think Mike found one of these the other day it's a key just like this that was broken I don't know what that's all about they really bent around too wasn't it found another lock Grease I got a buddy that digs gold his name's Reese out in Arizona and I think Wyoming is probably up in Wyoming now but that's pretty sweet it might be Colorado I don't know great find but it's a silver ring it's not every day that you find a silver ring it's a little bit broken up though I might actually done that because it was wedged in a rock I had no idea what it was another nice little signal here it's on the Bedrock nice squeakers probably going to be like a penny or something but since it's going to be really easy to dig I figured we could do it together foreign [Music] that's a Honker isn't it yeah buddy I don't think it's so far but you never know looks almost like a bullet like this Civil War Two ringer okay there's actually two rings right there it's pretty worn got a little bit of a cavity in it too uh boy that's kind of a strange one right there all I thought it was like a little belt buckle when I first found it but I'm also sure it might be parked and I don't know it might be like a little compact single it's almost like a coin design on that though doesn't it kind of grabbed a bunch of stuff down there I'll look around and a lot of square nails some round Nails some fishing lures I saw a lot of bird shot from a shotgun in there hey I don't see anything good it's pretty cool though man still a lot of stuff in there hey guys I got a really good signal this looks like nothing it probably yells off of like a toy or something but there's a patent number in there it says Pat number 4095445 just some information for you guys if you ever don't know what something is when you find it you can always go to Google and type that patent number in and about 90 of the time you can find it I'll show you a blueprint of the item and I'll tell you what it was so just want to give you all some information on that it's pretty cool so who do you think it is I have no idea I think it's maybe off of a toy gun maybe oh okay sure yeah um but yeah and then uh I did get a little bottle little cork top bottle no embossing on it I must say probably early 1900s because you got to look for your seam line if it goes all the way to the top so probably like 1910. um I did get a little musket bolt or like hey yeah I'm glad you're here too I got a little pistol Ball but it's got like a oh see if anybody can guess what that is a pocket watch uh ring goes around the outside band but I got like a uh bow you might be able to tell me I think I got a little buck and Bowl but it hasn't yeah yeah I'd say that's probably a pistol shot that's what I thought it's too big for a buck shot but it's probably for a pistol okay all right it could be a small College yeah it's funny you could it looks fired but that also could be where it was rolling around in the current you know wearing the see how it has like some wear but it looks like it might have went down I do too oh that's a beauty yeah I'm happy because I got one yeah it's been a while so and a little bit of everything oh look at this guys this is actually off of an old car from probably the 20s or 30s it would have had a guy sitting there his head's gone see his arms coming up here to the steering wheel that would have been the top of the car probably from the 30s or 40s looks like we might have a walk a nice brass lock what do you think yeah indeedy look at that that's a beauty right there um got some writing on the top of it so we might be able to kind of figure out figure out a little different underwater is gone but yeah it's a pretty cool lock right there man that's awesome didn't even sound that good it was weird must have been a lot of iron and
