Metal Detecting | School Field VS Park Field

[Music] hello and welcome to digging socal i am in rocklin california i am doing a hunt i don't know how long it'll take me whether i get it done one day or not but i'm hitting this school i'm hitting one park i'm doing grass only and hopefully i have some good finds and not too much trash so should be interesting all right started digging this without filming it i think it's another nickel it was a 12 13 and i just dug this up bigger than a nickel so it's going to be some type of token probably see here means having fun it says uh it's in fresno california blackbeard's i don't know it's kind of cool definitely something different i'll clean that up and get a better shot of it now here's a surface finder over here dinosaur all right picking up another 25 26 right here my guess is a dime yeah another dime i will check all the dates if they're not if they're just modern i won't update you but if they're all modern i'm not going to worry about it all right i was digging up a 16 and i pulled this out the coatings coming off the back can't really read what it says about to clean it up but that's kind of cool nice guitar not sure if it was a pendant or pin or what but uh it's been there a while that's a pretty cool find and it says falling apart though 28 29 right here sounds like a quarter but you never know over here a little bit [Music] oh look at this oh it's definitely not a quarter wow academic of academic excellence sorry it looks like there that's just a nice little ribbon wow beats a quarter just something kind of cool all right this one is really jumpy i thought it was going to be a quarter i see rust here i finally found it junction city silver cup 2014 pretty bad on the back well i'm finding some good stuff out here in the field was a pin at one point but that is totally bent over it'd probably break if i try straighten it out but that's really cool so this is a 24-25 funny thing is if i if i don't film it i find good stuff if i film it i don't so i decided to film this one probably just a dime though and it's in the plug and it is a penny it's in good shape so it's older but not a wedi oh it's a 68 not bad all right i'm getting a 15 16 right here pretty big we'll take a look at it what should be a can or something should be higher number normally oh yeah look at that all right i'm getting a pretty good 19 right here [Music] still down there [Music] it's out it's probably garbage [Music] oh it's a shield penny little tour up on the side wonderful nothing else i don't think nope okay so i had a 14 here and i thought i was pulling up a uh or gonna dig up a pull tab and uh i just it was really shallow so i just flicked the the top layer off and i see this it's still stuck in here not really sure i think i finally got my uh made my ring tiny but i definitely got one it's just been out of shape all right i just dug up at 12 and uh i thought it was foil when i picked it up but it's apparently it is a torup turtle it's in bad shape it's falling apart yep legs are falling off it's just pretty destroyed rover's out taking some laps i'm getting a 12 13 right here it seems deep though i don't know if i want to go for it oh what was that 30. that one's shallow let's find that one first oh yeah looky looky here that's a way to find him wow i got a dollar oh nice let's see if i can figure out this other target now i sure might find those dollars maybe drop some more please i think that's it there's a shallower 12 13 right here right on the edge hmm all right i'll dig this and let you know if there's anything good all right so i end up digging both targets this was the one out further away from the run path and it was a nickel scratched it good and then the one over here which is right here was also a nickel so i got them both and i got a present for christine oh yeah a little snack now put him back down here i won't eat him today all right this is coming up all kinds of numbers 29 to 32. um i got it up it's still here i'm hoping that please be a ring and not brass fitting and it's looking pretty cheesy ah bummer you all excited about to see what it really is it's really light i'll have to see if it's a ring or if it's just a piece of brass i like when you hit the plug up and it's so easy it's right here this is a 13. right in that slot another nickel i'm getting a lot of nickels today um makes it much easier when they're out like that all right i was getting a 29 to 32 here barely picking up with this so it's kind of deeper i don't quarters don't usually get up to 32 but i hit something hard right there [Music] it's probably junk i see it i think yeah quarter pretty bad shape and i scratched it of course darn it just one all right this was coming in as a sketchy signal 15 16 and some other numbers it's all rotten away on this side you can see where it's rusted here tiny little lock that's kind of cool i'm probably three or four feet from the lock and i just found this it's a flattened coin i don't know if i'm going to be able to make out what it was it's in pretty bad shape that's kind of cool i'll see if i can figure it out all right this is coming out as a penny signal i was getting 20 21. you know how that goes more likely it's a penny but sometimes it's not [Music] ew grub what is this this is not a penny kind of better button yeah it's broken off in the back possibly a button that was it well i'm definitely having some interesting finds as i'm pulling this up just forcing it up and then i see the ear pod or butt or whatever they are coming out of the ground here i get a lot of these actually all right get another 29 30 right here right there this grass is pretty dry no water gets over here i guess [Music] there it is here's a uh what uh can't make out i can maybe make out the year if i get lucky here looks like an 85 possibly cool i was almost out of the school field and i had a really high hit 32 really high pitch and uh just pulled out a it was like a kennedy half dollar maybe of course i scratched it go figure but uh that was a high tone listen to this thing here when that thing went off i got my attention very cool i don't get these very often that's for sure all right well part one was a pretty good hunt got that uh school field and now i'm at a park and i'm gonna do the same thing um according to my family there's a lot of events that are held at this park so i'm gonna work down one edge of uh the field and see what i can find it is right next to a school so i should have some pretty good finds so let's get to it all right first target is a 13. 12 13 actually it's pretty soft it just hasn't rained so it's actually the plug here [Music] huh oh wouldn't you know it good old pull tab i was getting a 24-26 right here so we got that's tough grass right here i'll tell you still down there got it out what is this maybe part of a vape i can't really tell yet but yeah it's garbage i'm getting a 25 down here in this flattened grass yesterday the kids were out here from the school there's some sort of relay going on so they really destroyed the grass so this is sounds like it might be a dime but there it is yep as you can see up close up you see the pattern they took they had these little relays all over here just flattened all the grass so i'm gonna check these areas 29 30 right here this is very deep [Music] [Music] there it is stage quarter i am getting a uh 14 15 16 right here you can see how tall the grass is it's not very deep should be easy to find ah look at this i see a ring whoa that was probably recently lost here maybe the event yesterday hasn't been very long i'm getting a uh 18 19 right here i oftentimes that's just a penny [Music] it's still down there here it is yep just a penny all right i'm getting a 13 here still down there aha that's the second nickel i've got and i didn't i didn't film the first one getting another signal right here at this you can see where they uh this is where they turn that's been a short relay but uh nice shallow target here [Applause] [Music] ah what do i see here another recent drop check that out very cool got me an earring it's kind of pretty all right getting a 30 right here a little deeper my two best finds so far have been surface fine so i probably should just be focusing on the surface cover more area but you never know what you're gonna find under the ground so it's in the plug i tried wearing gloves i hate wearing gloves all right it's a quarter it's just possibly a 60 something let's see here 67 maybe of course it wouldn't be silver they won't give those to me i'm getting a 25 26 i pulled it up it's in the plug oh should be a dime i would think but oh there it is it's a penny actually and it's a lincoln uh memorial i pulled up a 17-18 thought i had something good just stuck in the grass pretty good just a carabiner saw the shiny got excited for a second i was getting myself another pull tab well do you see it i got my surface find nice never let me down with my toys i was getting a 24 right here don't see it so i'm gonna have to dig the field's starting to get busy because it's baseball time so i'm about done there it is it's a dime all right so the other day i had about two hours at the school field and today i got about an hour and a half 90 minutes into the park field before the kids start showing up for baseball so it's time to move on anyway it wasn't bad a lot of work muddy gross but let's get to that wrap up here is a wrap up for this hunt the first part is going to be the school field and who would have guessed you would have found pieces of pencil at the school next is a surface find dinosaur what i like about this one is the head actually bends down i haven't seen a lot of plastic toys like that that have that feature and then i got a co2 cartridge piece of copper some other junk down here including four pull tabs and then we got the pennies typically they're all chewed up from the dirt and then i could not believe how many nickels i found i mean they just kept coming there's a lot of nickels there and then um got this one here is chewed up for a lot more more likely it's in really bad shape and then i was lucky enough to find a dollar that is really cool don't find tons of those but the bonus was getting a kennedy half dollar that's even better i've only found a few of these and i love finding the kennedys and then i've got a torp block it's in pretty bad shape i got this award minus the ribbon of course um pretty cool and i've got this thing you can see the back of this but this is a junction city silver cup i think it's 2014 or 16 um award pin this little turtle guy he fell apart he's in bad shape got one little cleat this is really cool this guitar it's got the song verse on the back sweet home alabama like i said too bad it was in better shape then i got this token here it says icy on one side and the other side is black beards and it um is from fresno california one flat penny it's got the empire state building that's from new york again in pretty bad shape originally i thought i had two rings but this is just a piece of copper i don't believe it is a ring this is the only ring which is in bad shape it is bling and it um i can straighten it out but i don't know if i'm going to bother but that is the ring for the field now moving on to the um park field i did pretty good a very large hair piece washer another piece of pencil this is a very fancy bobby pin wheels to a tech deck carabiner a part of a zipper pull and then three pull tabs and then i didn't do too bad on the change in the short amount of time i was there these two were obviously closer to the surface they were just below the grass this was a surface find nice truck this is one of those pencils you can it comes in pieces and you can stack them that was a surface fine as well and then i did find um this i thought was a part of a vape when i spotted it and uh it's actually part of a lock the insert to a lock and then i got one ring which is just bling thought it was silver when i first pulled it out but it don't believe it is then i got this earring it's actually pretty nice it's also just uh bling but that was pretty cool so you can see there's not a whole lot of difference between hunting a park field and a school field they're very similar um [Music] not too bad had a lot of fun and i really
