Metal Detecting Newport Beach 2020 CASH & Ring found Treasure Hunting

[Music] [Applause] thank you hi guys we are back another detecting the beach today I'm in Newport Beach I'm here a little bit early I'm gonna meet a gentleman by the name of James he's got his own channel from I think it's the Las Vegas area and uh I'm just here seeing about this low tide we got extreme ties that look like a lot I got washed a lot of sand washed out here so I'm hoping that we get some beach structure along the way so I'm Scouting For spots until I meet him could be about one o'clock I think that's in about a half hour okay guys can you see the outline of it guys quarter huh maybe something bigger definitely something bigger what is that another half dollar that's stupid oh my God that that can't be right how are they giving that out as change guys so right at the meet where I'm supposed to meet James supposed to meet at one o'clock and if he had trouble parking I know I did too so I I being a local I'm uh very familiar with this area so pretty Sandy overnight we'll see what this is you guys see all that black sand right it says can be a bobby pin I'm sure where's that bobby pin there it is there's the bobby pin hopefully we'll sign something better so guys one of the reasons I walked near the Rocks first when I come down to the Jetties here in Newport we do have a little beach structure here but I guess I could see how much sand is actually sanded in so I know there's a a three and a half four foot base of sand so I'm gonna have to hunt trough so the Tide's not quite down enough for me to hunt crops so I'm gonna go slow in the areas where I can access your little hole right here but see if we can find see if we can get access and that tie goes down just a little bit more all right on to the next [Music] a nickel what is that okay not the pull tab part it's the tab that gets pushed in and they can know why I find somebody who does foreign you want to see something ironic yeah oh look at this and it's in this hole here and it's still got more noise in it but you put your coil over here still got more right there that's screaming huh I almost put it in my pocket with my cell phone yes I hate dropping that in that Fine's bag look who's buying the beer huh yeah that's a good uh good start for the day hey thanks for picking this spot man yeah man that is screaming 32 on me right now yeah I'm not here dude that's about it man it's crazy every scoop it fills back up with sand oh come on I didn't get the cell phone I think there's probably like a rock structure right here oh nice oh come on out of there oh my goodness you wanna you wanna give this one a shot all right let me give this one more scoop I'm exhausted already detail oh I know they're all over this beach man they are I know and they're still alive it tells you how good stuff was made back then I think I found the end of it ah am I still recording guys I just slice my hand up her finger open all right with me I'm alive oh that burns yeah I probably ought to go get a stitch or two on that thing yep it's a solid 12 out of that hole but I've been digging nothing but cancel off and I'm hoping it's a nickel cancel or pretty old zinking I think that's the sinking yep I see a little bit of remnants of penny in that all right 30 Scoops later we got it out of the hole and it doesn't look very good what the heck is that and we're a great American Cancer gotta love that I guess you don't gotta it it bit me already today but yeah that's sacrifices I have to make well you got me beat uh with the coins anyways oh wait I got a 50 cent piece for coming in here crazy is that too but I saw it sitting on the on the sand my first Target in today oh my goodness man 30 Scoops or cancel guys it sounded good the whole way I'll tell you working with this cut finger guys is a pain in the butt but I think what is that a something for something but I just pulled cell phone out of the way guys looks like another iPhone looks like it could be in pretty good shape except for I smashed it all right even says Apple or maybe it's just the case all right James is over there kind of jumped out in front of him I didn't mean to do that but it's just the way I hunt who the heck knows what that is the heck if I know on to the next all right I got it out of that hole right there 10 11. probably more slaw but you never know I'm looking for that and that's exactly what it is it's slaw the Great American sloth all right here's James over there trying to find something good right where he stays we're Sam found the cell phone actually a little deeper than what I was because the Tide's going out a little bit I figured I better step up to the dry area a little bit higher hopefully he can get a good Target right look at that oh look at that oh do they get it did I get it did I see a coin so I got the dime in my hand all right oh I just lost a penny all right so we got it looks like a euro two dimes and they just dropped a penny where'd it go vertigo all right there maybe oh look at that sitting right on top all right there's that I wonder if that was a penny I lost so maybe a coin spill around here let's see if there's any out here further serious rocks you got better looking good I hope I don't have a dirty lens guys here's James he's having her down he's hitting that trough right there good right there it's a big score all right what'd you find James oh all right cool iPad what is it this is cool bed what kind of phone is that looks in good shape huh yeah I thought I tapped something I'm like it was a high 20s low 30s I was like all right we're digging wide on this one I don't want to scrunch my first a first phone here no yeah injured he's using his mask it doubles as a tourniquet you know the creative use of a mask right a more useful use of a mask yeah yeah well it stops the bleeding not the covid but the bleeding I didn't see charger I got one of those yeah just let it dry out for a while yeah yeah hey it's something all right some sand bowling ball of Courts but they're not pretty I just found a Euro right over there in a couple times that's about it right here so far this is my first good stuff you know what that's what it is it's it's quiet foreign can you read it not that lifeguard getting a Band-Aid but this is working pretty good just like everything else in this ocean yeah because we're supposed to be water resistant and you know and I'm leaking [Laughter] yeah and uh the minute hand is right in the right in the title of whatever that launch is oh well it's a watch hey it's not aluminum can yeah find a weird stuff like I always do I buy weird stuff I know I always wondered man when they're out there it's no phones like crazy man you know it's because it's because we're hunting for hours right and then all you see is the vines yeah I don't I very rarely show my trash so all right I dig forever for that day all right guys need a shovel they said you need a shovel do you have any issues with your GoPro boy that thing was screaming at me oh there we go there's lots of flowers there we go finding the flower they uh they they throw when they when they toss ashes and stuff it's real common all right that was painful there we go hey guys I have battery left I wanted to points out we have a photographer take a picture of another female surfer over here which is incredibly common and we have a photographer taking pair pictures of maybe a wedding couple or I'm not sure what it is but it is maybe the 14th 15th of uh of November and it is about 80 degrees right now on the beach and it's beautiful out here and I got James from NV metal detecting if I've screwed that up I apologize I'll fix it in the edit but he came out here and we we tried hitting the uh the wet sand during the low tide and I think we both got cell phones I found a money clip um I'm gonna say I got a ring but it might be a grommet from a bag but we agreed to call it a ring a closer look at it's really quiet we're hitting the dry sand heading back and it is quiet quiet quiet oh another photographer up in the rocks taking selfies they've been doing depredation hunts up there almost every year just trying to lower the year right yeah there's a sunset guys I never get old of that never gets never gets tired this is your uh GoPro die quickly because that's a quick the quick goes to video mode right sometimes it goes to bed and forgets to wake up and I pull the battery out that's what I have to do back in yeah well that's what happened to me not too long ago I found an area was a crap where I found those gold rings and there's a bunch of clad I just couldn't get that battery out of the phone actually I think I saw that one yeah yeah I had to pry that thing out in the back and I finally fixed it and been working okay since for the title page yeah that's that's a California Sunset they're worth hitting so you found California gold so there's a few parks around there that are old and parks in that neighborhood boy the one I hit last we were down here a half weeks ago it was still Central holy moly you had to dig six inches eight inches to get to the old dirt but it's hiding behind there now we're getting their pictures in yeah there it goes she's just it gets cold quick doesn't it people don't realize that I say okay it's time for Jim to go so they're they're doing a selfie in the water in this group of girls have you seen people they're gone a lot of times they drop it in the dry sand and they can't find it or don't know that they've dropped it and then it gets washed out you know when it's a surfer one though it's usually got stickers all over it with Surf and stuff and there it goes right behind Catalina so take some of those older Scout camps like hell yeah oh man well come this winter I'm gonna hit uh a couple Old Wagon Trail areas out in the desert famous Trail stuff like that it runs right up through Vegas right behind right through Cajon Pass is a great spot yeah is she gonna drop anything she's not even wearing Jewelry Dog on it all right that sun is gone it's gonna get cold hey it was a pleasure detecting with you it's been fun yeah well you got a lot of tricks man I might just keep going that way you might for fun I got the headlamp so you might as well keep going hey I just said goodbye to James he's standing over there I just found a little Bling Ring on the way out so I thought I'd share that with you guys James they got a rig hey guys it's time for the wrap up um a lot of trash that's all I was digging pretty much was trash James and I we hit uh yeah it was it was a very trashy in the wet I've probably found more of the Targets in the dry as we moved over um so there's my trash uh I thought this is a coin it's not a coin it just looks like maybe uh some type of backing or something off of something or garbage garbage this is a penny that's just caked guys this thing is like has a whole new life to it of something else um found a watch it is a Timex it uh it's no longer water resistant um the edges were completely caked with the crud I tried cleaning it up I end up breaking this one off completely so we'll see when it dries out I can change the time and stuff like that dry it out maybe put a new band on it clean it up see how it works um I found the money clip was like my first good find of the day and it had a hundred dollar bill has a hundred dollar bill and three one dollar but they're still wet I can't believe it's still wet because the next day and it sat out in the sun that's this these were so soaking wet when I pulled them out I was afraid they were gonna rip uh then I found the phone phone is an iPhone all right and I believe that was caused by me it's a gold iPhone and there's actually money in this one too it's still wet come on don't stick five twenty so 25 they they put a 25 bucks in there just in case I'm sure see all that rust coming out of there so this isn't a fresh ball it was in that wet for a while right Okay so not too bad you know 128 bucks and green cash this is actually the first Target of the day when I walked in another 50 cent piece so crazy they keep finding those on the beach I found a one Euro along with a few dimes and a penny and a little coin spill I got three quarters of let's see four or five that's not that's a penny I must have been drinking beer or something all right so we got uh six dimes one nickel and one two three four five six seven spendable pennies okay guys then this is a ring that I found when I was with James but I think it's just a grommet off of a bag we agreed to call it a ring but Ah that's not anything anybody's ever gonna wear I think it's a I honestly believe it was a grommet ring from a bag this is an actual ring I found it uh in the dry sand walking back to my car and stamped inside is 925 but it's also says like Alex and Amy if I remember correctly like right in there so you know it's something personal for somebody and hopefully I know it's hard to return stuff like that but it does have a name in it okay and I'll show you close-ups of that hey guys I had a blast today metal detecting with
