Metal Detecting After Hurricane Irma

alright hey guys she detect her here so today I'm metal detecting an island off the coast of tarpon springs and this is a couple of days after we were just hit with hurricane Irma so this island has been affected a large a large bit so over here I don't it was probably hard to tell in the camera but the water came all the way up and it just went straight over top of the island now this is the island that I refer to as Coyne Island because this is where I find all the coins but it used to have like a Ledge over there on that side not very big maybe like a foot between where the water normally goes and the top of this little island that ledge is completely gone now so it's been completely washed over and it's flat over there it's like a normal beach and it just goes like gradually into the water so yes I'm gonna be detecting here I'm hoping I find a whole bunch of coins like I said this is coin island so yeah I'm expecting a lot of coins I'm out here with ring earth this is Sir rings alot my xcalibur too and I'm out here with Rex my 8-inch t-rex coupe got my carbon-fiber Andersen handle I've got on ringer my over-under carbon-fiber shaft I've also got LC here in my digger pouch I've got my digger pouch my shoes I think I've pretty much got everything I need to have an amazing day metal detecting so I'm gonna get set up and we will get to doing some metal detecting alright guys so I got my first target here on Coney Island see what it is I think oh yeah yep but my first coin looks like a penny I do believe it is a penny all right guys first corn over the day actually you know maybe that's a dime no penny yep penny alright so that was a lighter coin it's a penny so I still need to figure out where the coin line is some of my heavier targets might be out there all right guys so I've got another target here I marked it because I found a conch-shell and I took it down to the water and as I was walking I was moving my I was just holding my coil out so I marked it so I can dig it with it that's what that is Oh there it is all right got another coin very nice you want to turn it here and now I'm actually down up I see it I'm down in the water line garbage the big ol pan of sometimes those are those conch shells that I'm rescued [Music] this target sounds odd it's kind of a very hollow sounding tone or maybe like it's in a bell and I know strange there it is hmm that was a weird tone for a pull-tab a little soda can thing it's not it weird [Music] [Music] hmm [Music] [Music] got a pretty nice sounding target here sounds solid and close to the surface [Music] so since it doesn't seem to be right on the surface maybe it's aluminum because aluminum always sounds like it's right on the surface in it like never is [Music] there it is the coin dime it's a dime there it is oops what you doing all right so here are my finds for my hunt I didn't find as much as I was hoping to I found two old cans they've been there for a while I think I found a couple of pull tabs I found a couple of coins but not nearly as many as I thought I would find these two are for sure dimes I think all these are pennies but with these two here on the end I can't really tell this one here could be a dime but it's really corroded and I can't tell what it is so I guess I'll just put it with the dimes because it's about the same size so I found those coins here but not nearly as many as I was hoping unfortunately and then I found this guy now this is strange because it's got like an eyelet right there so at first I thought maybe it was like the barrel of a gun um but you can't really you can't really tell what it is you know it's got all this stuff caked on it and you know built up on it so I can't really tell what it is but I did bring a hammer so I'm going to crack it with a hammer and see if that I don't know see if I'm able to tell what it is you'll see so crack this junk off now I don't know if there's metal in there if it's just built up stuff I don't know whatever it has been there for a while so I might have broken off some metal from it but I don't know I have no idea what it is something so yep those are all my finds so I'm going to go ahead and add the coins that I found to my coin jar and y'all been wanting to see it this is what it looks like so far it's not full and I still have a good amount to go before it's filled which is very sad and depressing I believe this jar is just a pint maybe it's not very big it's the little jar so yeah so I still have a ways to go before it's filled up and this is a couple of days after we were just hit with Hurricane Irene Therma Emma I don't want you saying Irene
