Merseyrail Fleet Review

hello everyone and we are outside Street wait hang on I think I've misread the sign yeah yeah that's that's Liverpool Lime Street place then better go and get a train then yeah let's just make do anyway we're going to do a mercy rail Fleet review yay let's go so there are two trains you can find in Liverpool 507 and the s77 the 508 have already gone by the time we're filming this so they weren't much different to 707 s 57s yeah 507 ex the 707s yeah missing London already I see yeah let's go let's [Music] go so our first train today will be a 77 7 seven which we are on right now lovely this is this train is absolutely um based it's got level boarding from uh platform to train which is fairly unusual disgustingly unusual for the UK real Network the seats are quite um quite hard but it's what it is um yeah the trains are fully walked through and um yeah generally a very good train so we're moving now and this train is going to West ciry so let's go so now we are going to test the plug sockets right let's test it with the USB first and foremost get to my mobile telephone is it there we go it works it charges better than a v can say there and try again oh yeah it works excellent works that is fantastic lovely these seats flip up apparently let's give it to go so that you can oh have extra space for like a Prem or something yeah possibly a wheelchair as well for a wheelchair real check in the real that too and they're actually meant to do that unlike a 465 lovely to be on some third rail outside of London eh see it say it [Music] sorted so we'll be getting this very modern trainer to birkenhead park where we'll probably get a 777 back to lipol Central and then we'll try and get on the nor line seven um 507 yes 507 and hopefully we have a special treat for you as well thank [Music] cross so we've made it to birkenhead park and I decided I actually really like Mery rail which is actually really nice yeah agree strongly agreed the 777s are great trains uh we're going to get another one back to Liverpool Central stations seem quite No Nonsense as well which is always good to see yeah always good that they've got guards on their trains as well guards and uh they also have ticket offices as well they've basically got the whole Shang amaz rail which is unusual for a to to have so much uh such adequate level of starting absolutely thumbs up from us [Music] love the uh love the uh sort of pads for the doors here as [Music] well so we've gotten out a little bit earlier here at morfield to changed the northern line and we're going to try and get on a 507 yep you got it right this time yeah let's go so we are on the Northern line platform here at morefields we're going to get the train to Southport because Southport is still entirely 507 so here we are leaving morfield on a class 507 towards Southport which uh I think my shirt is very fitting if you can see that class 313 these are very similar CU these are of a family of train called the pep uh they're all very old uh the 313 have gone a lot of other trains have gone these are the last vas and they are going in 2024 uh think it's about April timetable change they are set to leave us so yeah let's have a look around open this door manually look old fashioned door so we've got out here to uh wait for another 507 cuz that one was busy uh this one is a uh 7 77 to head bot Lane and it's got batteries on it that's something says on it batteries on board so they've got batteries yeah uh which uh have not had the best roll out but I think they work now they must work enough yeah I think they work now like but yeah yeah that's it train still say Kirby head bot Lane because just saying head bot Lane people won't know where to go because the St is new so they call it Kirby yeah so that's interesting anyway uh hopefully next shot should be a 507 hopefully yellow oh the love delivery as Dylan said is like a southern coast TR but yellow it is of course undeniable that these trains are showing their age especially as they're nearing 50 I think uh but yeah I'm going to miss them when they're gone they certainly have character that's for sure so these 507s are very similar to the class 508 uh there's just a sort of few minor differences in the way they were made uh we're probably not going to be able to get a 508 because I think they've been withdrawn by the time we're up here filming this it definitely will have been by the time this video is out uh but yeah you're not missing a lot they are very similar this train is for soup next [Music] station okay we're finally back in London at Water L yay wait hang on that's still Mery rail we had the worst sense of humor ever yeah we're not funny [Music] so we're at a bootle new Strand and uh yes there has been absolutely zero continuity about where we are right now uh but we're sticking with the Southport Branch because it's entirely uh 507s and uh we've been trying to get something special for you uh let's hope it works out for [Music] [Music] us [Music] okay that's enough Mery rail for one day uh let's uh try that again tomorrow good night [Music] we made it to headbo Lane where's the party uh I think we're a little bit late yeah wait what do you mean with 2 months [Music] late so we're at uh birken head north uh just went past the depot here uh there was a 508 uh here so yeah that was cool we can't ride it but still uh that's nice to see so uh long story short the surprise we had planned didn't work yeah um we tried to find train number 5071 um and we just couldn't find it yeah the one that's been repainted into Mery rail blue there'll be a photo of it on screen possibly uh yeah we tried finding that uh but we went round and round the wholl line and uh all up the Southport hunts cross uh didn't work and we run out of time but anyway there's your Fleet with you um the 507s have a lot of character 777s are the trains that are fit for the future of course yeah like I'll miss the peps when they're gone but yeah it is undeniable that the Stadler f 777s are very very good right catch you in the next one yeah one time we were waiting and apparently 5071 was the next train and we just missed it by like a matter of minutes so uh yeah insert the sad trombone sound here thank you anyway I hope you enjoyed the video and oh yeah here's a little wooden toy Mery Rail train with an actual one in the
