we were down recording this thing at Will's Ranch this next number and we'd already had the the album made we've been up 5 days and five nights doing what you [Applause] do we had a we had this drink supposedly came from the Bible was called The Master Cleaner and it was cayenne pepper pure maple syrup and lemon juice and that's all we had to eat for 5 days and five nights bil didn't doesn't have a cook now like I say we had this whole album finished and we didn't really have a title song for it and I've got to bed after 5 days and five nights about 5 in the morning and I just really kind of got to sleep in the door Somebody went to beat him on the door and my God my head was banging and I got up and went to the door and it was Willie and uh well Willie bangs on your door and you're on his property so I open the door and he came in and he had you hear about these songs written on paper bags and this song really was cuz there was no paper big enough to contain the words and you really had this paper sack folded out there and and he said I think I found a aong and I said well great he said the band's learning it right now I said what you come in we'll do it and I said well I'm in my shorts and everything I really came can't see them words will he I said there's a lot of words I don't know what the name what's the name of it he said P [Applause] Lefty what you did you write it he said no I found it on a Amy Lou Harris record I said well that's great I said you guys go on in there and uh put it down and I'll get up early in the morning and do my part he said no he said I want you to come do it at the same time okay so I said I can't even see so I went in there and I do not remember recording this [Applause] record a lot of things you want to forget but I wanted to remember this I got up next morning and I said I know I didn't do it good last night could I do that again they said the record is already on its way to New York great I said I don't know what I did they said it was really good all right we're going to do that first 1 2 3 4 [Music] living on the road my friends is going to keep you C now you wear your skin like eyes brother's are you mama zomie boy your favorite one is see to cry when he said [Music] goodbye sing your dream was a banded boy his horse was fast his body Ste Bo was gone outside his [Music] hold on is match you know desert down Mexico nobody heard [Music] his that's [Music] way could him any only let him [Music] let he can't s blue I you the d p b down Ed up in M the day they L for punch Lefty split for Ohio and where he got the bread to go oh there ain't nobody [Music] know could let [Applause] go [Music] down thought so left his Liv and she P the Cleveland story end with pray it's what had to do could only let him go so [Music] long [Applause]
