This was a fun video. Nice that he included videos of Spike's work for the younger audience.
Spike Jonze did the film clip for Fatboy Slim's Praise You despite looking like it cost $200 to make. Mr Jonze was also the lead dancer and star of the video, and apparently stayed in character for days at a time when they were making the video (and subsequently collecting their MTV awards, etc.)
Oh. And the internet reminds me he did the utterly brilliant video for Daft Punk's Da Funk which I had totally forgotten about and hadn't seen for years. It's perhaps not a total stretch to say that video almost feels like a Casey vlog...
And for the conspiracy theorists who populate this sub reddit: For years it used to be part of the Spike Jonze story that he was a heir to a $3bn fortune (from some family who made their money from advertising) and was basically a trust fund troublemaker kid. More recent articles suggest the connection to the $3bn might have been extremely distant and several times removed, but I know how y'all enjoy trying to find the link between people and some secret society of well connected people.
Dear Spike, I wrote you but you still ain't callin. I left my cell, my pager and my home phone at the bottom.
Spike was more worried about Casey potentially ruining his phone than excited about getting it engraved lol
By Hero im assuming he's talking about Samsung.
So we are clearly working through a couple of day delay on the vlogs, no longer just a one day production cycle.
I wonder if 13 years from now some guy will be vlogging about finally meeting Casey after sending him a letter in 2017.
I normally make fun of these types of commenters, but I thought it was pretty noticeable that while engraving Spike's iPhone he made sure to put his Galaxy in the shot.
