all right so after I made the tutorial on the legs I had some people ask me for a tutorial on arms so I'm going to be going in uh probably in uh more complex arms I if you guys want me to do a video on like the an actual animations I'll do like the simple ones for like the walking and stuff other than that um that can be for a different video first things we're going to want to do is get rid of all these or at least put them up here you don't want to get rid of them and then flip them the other way so we have attachment points okay so now we need a place to put the arms so let's get a little beam going okay that looks good and don't worry we're just going to duplicate it to the other side so we're only going to focus on one side so go it's mechanical go and get the rotating Servo put it right here what you're going to want to do oh let go in the um configure and then put this at 120 if you want to make it look more humanik and stuff you can lower the strength on it it's just right here but um that you also want to do that if you want your walking a look more fluent so but if you just want it to be like pure melee and stuff like that don't put any um don't want the strength I would put the speed at like eight or one get rid of the controls for right here that's very important and what you're going to do is to make another one facing up like this and you're going to attach it with a with a wedge 2x one right here here don't attach it from the other side it'll collide with this and that will just be a mess then what you're going to want to do hold on this copy it flip it like this and put a wedge like right there also make sure these don't have controls and then I would put this serveral at 180 just for like the full movement okay now that my done what we're going to do is delete this server over here so we can just like copy and paste this one so copy that whole thing paste now we got two arms with um pretty good connections you can add another Servo right here that would add more connections but this is like um good on its own but you could do something like this and I would just give it even more motion and F flexibility but we don't really need that it'll just add complexity we don't need that also I put hinges here cuz they're very strong they're almost unbreakable so you want to use it if you don't want a big ugly balloon on your thing just put one of these if you don't know balloons are also Invincible but they're way bigger and look pretty ugly so wouldn't put those so right now I mean we got arms but like it's kind of slowing down our walking like we don't walk as fast and it's just like kind of messing us up so what we're going to need to do to the legs if we add more weight we need to up the strength on every single one of these okay now that we're done with that we should be walking way nicer yeah see okay so now the arms are just kind of there so we want to have like an little animation so what we're going to do it might look a little weird since the arms are fast so if you want this is like a topic that I've been trying to work on and trying to make work together but you can only really make two kinds of arms you can make one that works well with the Mech that like just looks good and is fluent and you it's something you I would build on like my parkour Mech with like the strength on that it's really low it looks good it like reacts to physics and then you got this which is like does the complete opposite it doesn't do any of that but it's super strong and all melee Mi use it but there are some occasions where you can actually make a m that doesn't need it but that's kind of rare So what we're going to need to do is get some logic blocks put them right here then this is what the stand's going to be made of so connect these this is just like the bot St that I always do and boom actually only took one logic block connect the altitude from the last video to here and Oh see it's reverse so see how this one's going up that's how we want it and it's going the wrong way right here so we're going to flip that speed around same on this side so look it was going down so what we're going to do to the speed is reverse it and then that fixes it on both of the areas that are not supposed to be doing what they're supposed to be doing so look let's fix it's one problem out of our way another problem is the walking looks trash so let's see if we can do something about that with still having good melee attacks okay so I really just like um this lric block that attach to the knee it's at two that seems like a good speed I just attach it to this elbow and this joint oh see so it's flipped right there so flip that should work better and this doesn't look like it's working that well so we're going to put it up here and that should work better oh no it's going backwards uh it's also going at the same time this is kind of weird so I just took it off of the controls because it wasn't working that well as I said um strengths don't work that well if you don't have a low strength on arms so just like slowed it down you saw and everything like that so what we're going to do instead is make it have really good melee so first melee attack I would do is put this down here get a logic block put it on this side um let's do click on that click on this right trigger four Ah that's pretty good but this things pure mely we need it to be faster and stronger also this is going a little bit too far and I like it this isn't going um high enough so let's add two lundry blocks for each of them okay so now I can set this to be higher and this to be lower so now he AIMS in and then punches up something like that and also you can add you can go in here get rid of this add a piston right here and you can delay it to where um it whenever it flies out is when you're punching so that can also help you can set it to like negative 100 that makes it go faster um RT right here and let's delay it by a little bit also make sure this starting position's off and auto reset is on see it's a little bit too delayed go back in fix that oh wait same same speed lower it okay it's better and lowered it even more okay so so that's mainly on one arm just got to do it on the other okay so basically I just took all the logic block from uh the right the left side and put it on the right side and change the control so this is LT oh hold on all right there we go this is LT and it did that because the speed on this was wrong it was uh positive when it should have been negative on this side and now we got a working melee Mech so I'm going to try this out on one of my mechs okay I'm going to see if this me can do damage to this Mech since he's pretty beefy should be a good test oh shoot yeah his sword is pretty strong see I got rid of his sword ah maybe I should get a different appointment he broke both my arms let's just put this guy right here he looks like easy pickings all right let's going with our melee oh oh oh yeah one you might want to make the arms longer so you can have more range just you can see I'm like right next to him and I still can't hit him also another thing that would make it stronger is if you added a block down here and made the entire thing made of hinges I've seen people do this and it works pretty well so now this um hand should be pretty strong also it's not a bad idea to put hinges on arms cuz it makes it more strong this is just bare minimum so arms are going to be that strong if I can hit him there we go see that did a lot more damage we just go for the logic and he's dead and we both lost both of our arms all right hopefully you guys like this tutorial I will make sure to make more of them and if you need my help it's House of car card s for an Xbox
