foreign folks and a very warm welcome as usual back to what's for tea in our meals of the week for this week and I do hope that I find you very well indeed and apologies for my voice as you know I am about under the weather at the moment so please bear with me if I sound a bit nasally if you're new and it's your first time here my name's Cheryl we're a family of four from the west coast of Sunny Scotland and it's just our meals of the week for this week but as you'll know by now we were down in Wales for most of the week so you're going to see what dinners we had whilst we were down in Wales so we met different and probably a bit more interesting than normal this is where we were staying we were in londono and the accommodation we were in was right on the beach so had a lovely View and great weather for the most part it did rain a couple of times but that's wheels for a year so moving on to Monday we went to this kind of Diner type place we also went here the last time we were down as well and it's lovely they've got a really good viddied menu just kind of burgers and you know steaks Pizza Diner type stuff and we just love that we're not really into fine dining so this just suits us down to a tea Mr Watts for tea had the veggie burger it's a double burger with cheese and salad and chips and I had this burrito and it was absolutely massive but delicious and then that burrito is sort of chili beef and rice and jalapenos it's just wonderful we also had a side of onion rings as well and that was inside the burrito so you can see the beans and the beef and the cheese and the jalapenos but like I said it was massive but absolutely delicious this is just a quick look at the menu so that's my chili beef burrito there and if you want to pause and stop and read you're more than welcome to do so and that was Mr Woods for Tea's veggie burger there so it wasn't a meat alternative it was actual vegetables you know in batter and that was our onion rings there and they're just a few to other sides available should you want to indulge they're moving on to Tuesday just across the road from that place was a wee Italian place called Wildwood so leave it in here just for a week change we're going to go here last time but they had an issue with a leakage so they'd actually closed but we managed to get in this time and it was absolutely delicious and again an excellent menu and very good value actually so I had the penny arabiata this is one of my favorites Mr what's for tea had pizza and then we had garlic bread on the side and the extra portion of chips for Mr what's for tea this was my pasta here and it's just fresh Penny pasta toast and garlic and chilies and oh it's just lovely and Mr what's for tea also had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream to end I didn't bother I was absolutely stuffed and again here's just a quick look at the menu in case you wanted to pause and stop and read a wee bit more and these were the sides I feel available as well did a really good menu and here actually like I said I thought it was really good value because the proper restaurant you know it's a proper Italian style restaurants there are lots on there to cater for most folk and I was struggling and what to decide to have but I always usually go for the same types of things good desserts as well they've run to weddings they went back to the place we went to on the Monday so I decided to have a chicken kebab now I didn't know that it came in one of these big long skewer things and you've got to kind of pull it off yourself so they bring the plate with your chips and salad already on there Mr Watford he had pizza again he had the ham and pineapple pizza or a Hawaiian pizza with some chips this was my chicken kebab here and you're meant it with your fork pull from the bottom and it's meant to slip off quite easily I couldn't get off so she had to take it away and the chef actually pulled all the pieces off and then she brought it back or the plate which I was very appreciated because it was actually you know wrestling with this thing at the table so she took it away and brought it back just like this so it was lovely the chicken itself was absolutely delicious but I haven't had this again since just in case so this was it here on the menu they do have a few different types of that hanging skewer that was Mr what's for Tea's Pizza there and then again with the resides that you could have as well and then moving on to Thursday we're back to the lasagna went back to the lasagna went back to the Italian place and we both had lasagna on this night so just a traditional beef lasagna this was absolutely delicious and probably our favorite thing from the week yeah it's just you know layers of lasagna pasta with the minced beef and the cheese sauce and the Bechamel it was just lovely and we had the house salad to share that's just you know just very basic salmon radish tomatoes lettuce house dressing yes so we both had that and then just to finish we both decided to have a wee dessert so I had the warm lemon tart with some vanilla ice cream on the side there wasn't very much of this but yeah we were pretty full so it was fine and then Mr Woodford he had the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream again that we tart was lovely then moving on to Friday back to the diner type place and Mr Watford tea had the mini sliders these were actually ordered for me but when they came I decided there's no way I'm going to be able you know be able to eat all of this and Mr Woods for tea had ordered the burrito so we just swapped so there's just three mini burgers so there was a cheeseburger there was a chicken burger and a pulled pork and beef burger as well and although they look quite small you know they were very very filling and I think one of these would have been enough where the chips and the salad and that's that pulled pork burrito there which I I ended up having and again just the same as the first night with the chips and the east side salad and it also came with salsa and sour cream on the side and this was one of my favorite things from the entire week but like I said just a bit on the big side you know the meals on here were quite pricey but you do get what you pay for you you really do get a good plateful and you definitely don't need a starter you don't need a dessert after these because like I said you do get plenty and here is another quick look at the venue just before we left and then I had to show you this as well this is a chocolate shop just around the corner from where we were staying it's called maisie's and I think that every flavor combination known to man I did buy a couple of boxes to take away and they're absolutely fantastic you know they are handmade they're not the cheapest but they are really good quality so this was us on our way back and I did manage to capture the welcome to Scotland sign I always like to see this on the way back although it's good to get away it says oh you know I really enjoy the coming back as well and then when we got back I made these fully old fishes so it's a kind of McDonald's dupe if you like so we had the brioche bun with some tartar sauce and then some rocket and this is our battered fish fillet these ones from from Aldi and they are really tasty the top of the bun just some chips at the side and then we bought buttered corn on the cob as well so I will put a picture on the screen of the Box just in case you want to go and pick these up for yourself you get two in the box and they are really tasty like I said not a million miles away from the McDonald's version and then today we had good old Vincent tatties you'll see in the mince in my shopping haul this was from a local butcher and I just made plain boiled potatoes with wee bit of parsley and butter some mashed sweet and that's the minced beef with the onions gravy and peas that's one of her favorites and an absolute Scottish classic yeah I do have a video recipe for this I will leave linked underneath this video so that was everything that we had this week so thank you so much for watching if you're leaving at this point and if you've liked this video and you're not subscribed yet please consider subscribing just before you go and a huge thank you as usual to the supporters of the channel over to my patreon page and to the channel members here as well for you all for watching and leaving your lovely comments and I will see you during the week for another beer recipe or even back this time next week for another meals of the week and this is just a very final look at Wales before I leave you this was the big wheel on London up here and we did go in here last year as well only cost about four pounds and you do get quite a few goes around so it's actually quite good value and right in the distance there is where we were staying so yeah thank you so much for watching if you still here at this point you take care of yourselves and I'll see you offer Sid back here on what's for tea bye now
