MAY PLAN WITH ME | Erin Condren Life Planner and Planner Kate Stickers

hey y'all and welcome back to my channel today's video is going to be a plane with me and my Erin Condren life planner for the month of May 2020 and it's pretty crazy that we are almost halfway through 2020 it's really like not that shocking because it feels like we've been in 2020 for months but yeah we are almost already in May which is crazy and so we are going to be using the planner Kate like monthly kit here this is a kit for April May and June and it matches the Erin Condren colors and I use this obviously to plan for April I will put a card right up there in case you want to check out that video and see how I set that month up but we're basically going to be doing the same thing for the month of May and so what I do is I put these strips down and that changes the start date of the monthly spread from Sunday to Monday I like having the weekends altogether it just makes sense to me and I really like how that looks and then we will be using the planner Kate labels here these are these skinny appointment labels and these are just the standard labels and you can see here which sheets they are May 104 and May 106 and so and these are the ones that we'll be using right here to put down any bills that I have to pay and then the normal labels will have special events and birthdays and things like that so that is how we're gonna do it and I'm probably gonna be flipping back to April because this is only the second time that I've actually done this before so we're gonna we're gonna be flipping a little bit back to back to April just so I can make sure I'm doing this correctly but yeah and I really love just like how easy it is to put all of these down all the stickers down I think it looks really really nice just having a little pop of color on the page and you can see here that this strip does actually go all the way across and I remembered that I need to wipe out the bottom part of this hexagon because that will pop through a little bit but it's just put that right across just like that and since we have changed the start dates of the of the week to Monday we have to rotate all the different the dots and stuff and move those around so because May begins first day this always like trips me out so I have to like double check okay the first is on a Friday so we are moving we are putting down one right there and I actually got some really cool tweezers from this Etsy shop and I can't remember the name of it but I will include it down in the description box below but I got it for this exact reason just to kind of make the numbers process like putting down the numbers a little bit easier but are they so cute it has my Instagram handle on there and yeah I just I thought they were really fun and the shop owner is in Houston I don't know she's from Houston but she lives in Houston and that is where I'm from Houston will always be home for me so I was like I got to support another Texan here and yeah this actually makes putting down stickers so much easier especially these I mean really these smaller stickers like these are these can be a little pain especially if you if you don't have like super long nails or anything it can be a little difficult to kind of maneuver them or like turn them on the paper so I'm kind of understanding the hype surrounding the tweezers now but yep yep yep it is Thursday the day before I will be putting this video up and I was even like kind of debating on like whether I would even want to put out a video because I'm I mean you'll probably know I'm like putting it up a video almost every single day not like every single day this week it's been every single day I think last week I had maybe four and the week before I'm not really sure but I'm always putting up at least three or four videos each week and so I was thinking like oh just take a break day like it'll be fine but I already put a sticker down in my life planner and in my daily petite so I was like you know it's fine I need to do this anyway and you know I kind of wanted to film at the same time so that's what I decided to do and I am so happy that it is almost the weekend so happy this week has been really tough and I don't know I don't know like it's just been one of those weeks you know where it just feels like it's one thing after another and it can get very discouraging but I'm just it's it's taken a lot of like mental strength to kind of just look past it and just know that you know there's there's always like a light at the end of the tunnel but it just takes a little bit of time to get there sometime so yeah that's that's where I'm at right now but I just finished up my workday so I'm filming and I also had Erin Condren is live up on my phone and she was going over a lot of the some of the products and like different questions that people had about the launch that's coming up for ICI insiders on Monday and Tuesday of next week and then the general public on Wednesday so it was really really fun and exciting and there's just like so many new products that we'll be launching next week and oh my gosh like the sticker books look amazing I am so excited for those I'm gonna be getting both for sure and I think I'm even gonna I've been to like toying with this idea of getting a flower power planner because I kind of want to use it to start memory planning and I guess also maybe incorporating like gratitudes and stuff into it I'm not like I need to really sit down this weekend and sort of plan it out like how I would even want to do that but it's something that I really want to do and there's like so much inspiration on Instagram like Taylor from tattooed teacher plans she has the most amazing memory planning spreads like they are so gorgeous and if I could do anything remotely similar to that that would be wonderful but I'm still not sure I know for sure if I do go down that route I want to get in HP sprocket printer which those just look so much fun and I love the idea of being able to just like print pictures really easily and have the adhesive on the back and just like snip them you know cut them to size and then put them in my planner I think that's just such a fun idea and I think that would really help me memory plan just in general because I take a lot of pictures throughout the day whether it's like of my cat's or you know my coffee or a hummingbird outside of my window I've been doing that a lot recently but I just think that would be a really fun way to like incorporate my day so yeah how many days are in May 30 31 okay and that's gonna be interesting down here so I may have to like wipe that out which is kind of not like aesthetically pleasing but we got it we got to do something about it so hmm and then we also have to wipe these out so I'll go ahead and do that up here but yeah I'm I'm really toying with that idea of getting a flower power I'm thinking of getting it in the horizontal spread because I really want lines and even though the half-hour lines are back in the hourly I just really think that the horizontal would like work a little bit better for kind of the vision that I have for it but like I said I have no idea what I even why do really so we'll see we'll see what happens stay tuned okay so now that we have the line down here covered up and it looks kind of wonky but we're just gonna go with it I am going to oh my gosh I cannot wait to be able to flip to the actual month and not the dashboard and the new life planners that is a change if you're not aware that is a change that they made so now the tabs actually flip to the month which is great so we're gonna go ahead and put down these skinny stickers and are the skinny labels and the normal labels along with some of these script stickers to show what bills that I have and when so we're gonna go ahead I think I like to do let's see okay those start at the bottom so let's go ahead and put down our paydays first and there's two this month so we can put that down right there and then the very last week right there and then I am using this sheet planner Kate stickers this is F 12 B and I love this font it's just it's just it's perfect I don't like superscript D fonts because I just I don't know I just like I just prefer a very simple font for any stickers that I have like whenever I'm putting labels down so those are the ones that I have for that and then we can go ahead and I guess actually put down on birthdays so there's four birthdays this month I've got a lot of neighbor phase let me know if you have a May birthday my birthday is in July so we will be in the new planner by the time that rolls around which is super exciting that's definitely a good birthday present from Erin Condren right being in the new life planner and I'm so excited for it to be here I did share with y'all I think in one of my plan with Me's I think it was my life planner plan with me for this week but I will be reviewing the new life planner and it's been like I don't I'm not really sure what's going on on like the shipment side but I won't be reviewing that until probably next week which is like a huge bummer just because like there's so much hype right now and just you know that like there's such an urge to want to make content for the launch and stuff and I was told that it probably won't even be here like the day of the launch so I will be still you know posting a review video and kind of walking you through the planner that I got I did get the the coiled life planner in the colorful layers teeming with the hourly layout so I'm sticking to my tried-and-true hourly and I'm really excited to start using those half-hour lines again because wow were those mists in this last year's planner so I'm really excited for that and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to review it the accessories just look amazing like I am I'm so pumped for the accessories and I kind of talked about that earlier but they really knocked it out of the park I think this year with launch which is crazy because they had like you know their normal launch date for the life planners is like mid May I want to say early mid May and they bumped it up and we're like obviously in a pandemic which is just kind of crazy that they were able to do that and just like I mean so far it's been relatively seamless I don't know what it looks like on there and obviously but you know it's it's it's really crazy how they they put everything together and the situation that we've all been in so yeah I'm I'm very very excited for this year and I think that's definitely something that's cheering a lot of us up with you know what's currently going on so shout out to the Erin Condren team for that but I am ready for my launch package to get here because I'm I'm just like I checked my email like all the time throughout the day because I'm like when is it gonna when is it gonna ship so but y'all will be the first to know well actually probably Instagram will be the first to know so if you are not following me already definitely follow me on instagram my handle is at McKinsey plans so yeah but this date right here the six has a lot of things happening so I'm having to chop this label right here just to make sure that everything can fit yeah right now I'm just putting down all of these skinny appointment labels for bills and this is probably like the most time-consuming part but we're just we're just gonna chat through it so have any of y'all been kind of like your workplaces have they been talking about your return to the office mine has and they're trying to figure out how to act like actually go about you know getting everybody back in the office and obviously you can't just like release everybody and say come on back like let's you know pretend as if everything is normal like everybody assume your positions and so they're trying to be like cautious but at the same time you know trying to make sure that like eventually everybody can get moved back in to the office so we're supposed to be experiencing some changes just with like remote work starting on I think may the fourth so may the fourth be with you if you are in the same boat that's gonna be it's gonna be interesting for sure just how all of this is gonna play out after that so and it's already kind of been that way too already just like you know just this whole experience has just been I feel like playing it by ear the entire time and nobody really like knows what's happening so yeah it's it's definitely it's interesting so let me flip back and see how I write all this down and one thing that was talked about in the live that Erin Condren just had was the what was it the new covers that we'll be releasing on launch day and they are so much fun oh my gosh there's a mid-century Circle one that's making a comeback and I am so excited to get that one like I will be adding that to my cart immediately because it's it just looks amazing it has the mid-century circles design with kind of like a cream or like white background maybe ivory and then there's gold accents all throughout it and it's so pretty they haven't released any pictures of it so if they did I probably would put a picture in but yeah it's it just looks so gorgeous so I will definitely be getting that one and there's so many other fun options that I'll probably be getting as well because I just I can't hold back with the covers as you'll know which I showed y'all in my cover collection video that went up yesterday if you haven't seen that I will also put a card in the upper right hand corner but I had a lot of fun filming nuts and I realized right after that I completely forgot to show y'all like four other covers that I'm currently using one of which is this Paisley one here which I just loved it is so pretty and I was kicking myself afterwards so I was like oh my gosh you're still like four more but I'm sure I'll have another cover collection video at some point so I'll be sure to include those and then we have Ont - for that one okay right there yeah we got the mortgage and Disney plus and let's see here that one does not need to be an appointment sticker I don't know why I put that one on there that one has to be a regular label get my labels mixed up alright and that is the planner Kate seekpeek let me make sure I'm writing it down in the same way okay sneak peek okay PK okay and then we got this guy and gasps see yes I could probably just flip that out now okay and that's just I really feel like taking a walk today it's just one of those days I just need to get out of the house and I like going to UM a park in my neighborhood cuz there's a swing set and I love swing sets y'all like those are like they really just make me feel so good like when I'm swinging and stuff and that's been something that I've loved to do since I was little and I actually I had an incident when I was younger like really young probably about like 584 and I was swinging on the swing set in my backyard and um you know I was messing around on there like all the time and I actually like somehow like flipped backwards off of it and I ended up like rolling to the fence which something happened at the fence line I have no idea what it was I I feel like there was a hole and I got my shoulder stuck in it but that could be a complete fabrication because this was like many years ago but I broke my collarbone and it was very painful and um yeah it was not fun and so I think it's funny how like I'm still really into like swing sets and stuff even though the swing set itself did not cause me to break my collarbone but that was an outcome of like doing some ridiculous jump or something off of the swing set but anyway I love going to the swing set in my neighborhood and just swing in but let me tell you yeah those are definitely hard on adult hips which I have come to realize over the past like a couple weeks that I've been like hitting up the swing set so yeah so we do have some holidays in May on the fifth we have Cinco DeMayo of course and I have these script stickers from planar campuses sheet s22 and I got these because obviously I'm having to completely switch all of the holidays around which I also have to wipe them out down here so I wanted to get some strip some script stickers to make sure that I know when holidays are happening so we've got Mother's Day which is on the tenth which hopefully you know we're able to kind of maybe gather in groups and stuff and celebrate Mother's in our lives but I'm not entirely sure if that's gonna happen because it's still very much up in the air as far as you know what's gonna happen with the pandemic so and I think that's all for um that's all for May so yeah and I guess that's that is it I did want to mention one thing that I like to do because I do get kits from planner Kate one thing that I did a couple months ago maybe was I used an Erin Condren compliment card and I put a coil clip connector on the back side of it and I put all of the different planner Kate release dates for 2020 and so every time that I purchase a a like selection of kits I go ahead and mark off that date so I actually need to mark off April here so what I do is I take a mild liner and I use kind of the thicker tip here the I don't know the fine tip and I just make a circle around that and so I know that I have already made a purchase for the June kits and so the next one will be on May 6 and that is when we get the July kits so that's really exciting and I just move this to the next month so that I am fully aware of what dates I'll need you know to start looking at like you know the August kits but also the sneak peaks as well so yeah and that is pretty much
