[Music] what's up guys currently reporting from chandler arizona and this back here is gila rivers hotels and casinos the lone view location and the reason i'm here today is they've actually just opened a brand new poker room and as far as i've gathered it's beautiful it's spacious and it's filled with action so that's more than enough to bring me along for the ride now because this is arizona they have a 500 maximum bet on every street so i'm not gonna be playing three five no limit which i probably keep saying i will that's incorrect it's three five spread limit a little bit different and to be completely honest i have no idea how to adjust to that slightly different betting structure but i don't really care i'm just here for a good time and to bring you guys along i did hear a rumor however that the 500 maximum bet thing is actually gonna change as arizona has finally accepted no limit into their gambling laws so who knows if that's the case the second that's in effect i'll probably be returning here to play some true no limit but until then the plan is three five spread limit hold em let's get inside and uh i'll show you guys that new poker room [Music] so even though we'll be playing spread limit instead of no limit today the silver lining is that the max buy-in for this game is 2500 that's quite a deep buy-in when you consider that it's just a five-dollar big blind so i'm pretty happy with that and that's what i decide to buy in for now in the first interesting hand of the night we see a button open to 20 the small blind makes the call and i look down at king nine of diamonds in the big blind this is the spot where i think it's fine to mix between just a flat call and putting in the raise given that the small blind called and the open came from the button i decided to raise it up here make it 105 dollars surprisingly the button folds but the small blind calls it's kind of backwards from what i expected but anyway we're off to a flop here which comes down pretty good for king nine it's 933 with one diamond so we flop a pretty strong top pair as well as some backdoor diamonds in case of emergency small blind checks it to me and i'm gonna continue betting here and my opponent makes the call turn card comes the seven of clubs completing the flush and once again the small blind checks it over to me and i think it's a spot where it's okay to continue betting for value sure sometimes we'll be behind here but for the most part i think our hand is still strong enough to continue betting so for that reason i put in 225 dollars and once again the small blind makes the call so at this point i'm pretty happy just checking back most river cards and the six of clubs is no exception unfortunately we don't really get the chance because he instantly goes all in for his remaining six hundred dollars and i think at this point it's a pretty easy fold we're going to have much better hands to call off here so not holding a club it's time to just let it go and we're not off to the best start moving on to the next hand where the action folds all the way to me on the button and i look down at eight five of spades i raise it up to twenty dollars and it's at this point i realized the under the gun player limped in for five bucks i'm not sure if i would have even played this hand if i'd seen that someone else already entered the pot but here we are small blind folds and now the big blind who are perceived to be a pretty strong player or at least he has a clue what's going on he raises it up to 100 the under the gun player now gets out of the way and actions back to me of course the recommended play now would be to just fold but i'm in a frisky mood and not only that but he could be pretty light here given that i raised kind of small over a limper so for those reasons i take the unconventional route and decide to put this one into the re-raise category not something i really suggest but hey at the very least it's better than calling right he ponders his options for a little while before deciding to just call the 250 dollars so we're off to a flop here in position and of course my great decision making is instantly rewarded when the flop comes down 875 with two hearts interesting situation once he checks it over to me because this is a spot where we should almost never interact with this board but somehow we do doesn't change the game plan too much at least because if i were to bet on this board with all my strong hands it would be for about a third of the pot so that's what i like to do with this exact holding as well and my opponent makes the call so we're off to a turn card here which isn't too great it's the four of spades and even though i would almost never have a six in this situation i don't really think he would either the only few hands that i'd expect him to have that contain a six would be like maybe seven six suited or six five suited it seems like the big blind realizes this as well because it looks like he wants to lead this turn card for a little while before eventually he decides to check it over to me once again and i think it's fine to just continue betting here like i said it seems pretty unlikely that we're up against the straight so our hands should still be the best hand i put in 600 dollars before the dealer quickly corrects it to 500 you stupid california boy you're playing spread limit when are you gonna learn seems like it doesn't matter too much though because the big bang gets out of the way and later claimed to have ace queen suited moving on to the third hand of the night in which the button straddle is on for 10 both of the blinds complete and i look down at pocket queens in middle position i raise it up to 50 dollars the button lets it go but both of the blinds make the call so three ways here in position to a pretty miserable flop of 975 with two clubs given that both these guys limped in and then called a raise i expect this board to interact pretty good with hands that they would play that way but when the action checks to me this is live poker and people are gonna have a ton of stuff so i'm just gonna continue betting for value i bet 115 and they both make the call so still three ways here going to a turn which is the six of hearts much like the last hand it's very easy to have a straight so this time when the action checks to me i decided to just check it back river card doesn't really improve things it's the four of hearts bringing in a backdoor flush and i guess some potential two pair combinations a little bit surprisingly though the action checks to me again so now it seems like we could potentially have the best hand although i would expect some weak two pairs to play this way as well doesn't seem like we could get much value from worse here so i decided to just check it back and flip it over small blind mucks and the big blind shows ace four of clubs so we dodged quite a few outs i suspect and somehow one pair is good on this board at this point i move over to the second table of the night where i receive a warm welcome looking down at ace queen there's an early position limp so i raise it up to 25 dollars and get called by the small blind and early position limper so three ways here to a flop of seven three deuce with two clubs action checks to me and i decide to actually bet small here it's a pretty innocent flop and we shouldn't be up against too many strong holdings so even though i don't expect to get immediate folds could still win this hand on quite a few turn cards and it seems like it'll have to come to that if i'm gonna win this one because both of my opponents make the call turn is the king of clubs pretty interesting card because i should have a king more often than my opponents but at the same time it does bring in the flush and seeing as we get called in two spots on the flop doesn't seem impossible that we're up against one of those so when the action checks to me i decide to just check it back river is the four of spades and once again they both check it over to me at this point it seems unlikely that we're up against anything too strong at best i feel like we're up against a seven or maybe pocket aids or pocket nines something along those lines so when the action checks to me i decided to take a stab at it and bet the size of the pot even though i'm not representing a ton of hands it's going to be pretty hard to call with one pair i think and that seems to be the case because the small blind folds and now the early position player goes in the tank for a little bit before eventually deciding man what's 150 bucks i call so of course i'm not winning this one i flip it over and this time we're getting owned by seven six offsuit nice hand man you got me moving right along to the next hand in which that same player has the button straddle on and i'm first to act in the small blind looking down at queen nine of clubs probably a little bit wide from this position but i'm happy to play it so i make it 40 bucks and get called by the big blind the cutoff and the button so four ways here to a flop of queen deuce deuce with a flush draw being at a position against three other players i think it's fine to mix in some checks with strong hands especially on such a static board so that's what i do and the action checks all the way to the button player who quickly bets 200 pretty massive bet and i gotta admit i'm not in love with it at all but i'm obviously not going to fall to just one bet so i make the call and the other two players get out of the way heads up here to a turn which makes me feel a lot better it's the queen of spades all my worries of being out kicked go out the window i'm still just gonna check it over to him since leading this card would be a little bit ridiculous this time however he checks it back so we're off to a river card which is an amazing one i think it's the nine of hearts so we end up with the nut full house and a spot where it should be pretty easy for my opponent to be holding the last queen in the deck which of course is one of the ultimate coolers in poker for those reasons i think it's best to check it over to him yet again i mean sure we could be missing some value from maybe medium pocket pairs that are just going to check back but i'd rather just target hands that are going to put money in and also call a check raise so that's what i decided to do and i'm happy to see my opponent does indeed bet and it's the maximum 500 and now it's time for me to raise as much as i possibly can to one thousand dollars the button waits no time at all before making the call i show it and of course my opponent shows the queen of hearts and in my notes here i have ducking spread limit written down but the word ducking was actually autocorrected on my iphone i'm sure you guys can probably guess what the other word was oh well at least we get to win a pretty big pot for this game and it's hard to whine after coolering the life out of someone [Music] [Music] moving on to the next hand in which the button straddle is on yet again small blind limps in and i look down at queen out of hearts a little bit wide but i decided to raise it up to 50 the button folds and the small blind limper calls so heads up here to a flop of 765 with two clubs even though i flopped in open-ended with pretty much no showdown value when he checks it over to me i think i'm happy to just check it back and realize my equity he should have a lot more strong hands on this board than i would so don't really want to get check raised and i'm happy to just see what he does on the turn i'm especially happy when the turn is at nine of spades so now all of a sudden we end up with what should pretty much be the nuts but when the small blind leads for 55 dollars i decided to just put in the call i shouldn't really have too many raises on this board texture so i think it's fine to pretty much play all my holdings that are going to continue here as a flat call to be honest though i don't really know if that's the best strategy this is live poker and you can kind of get away with doing the most unbalanced things ever but this time i decided to just call hoping for a river that doesn't change things too much and that seems to be the case it's the seven of spades so unless we're up against a boat or quads possibly shouldn't really change anything but when the small blind bets 55 dollars again even though it's such a small size and i probably would be raising some hands here for value something just felt a little bit weird spider senses were kind of going off so i decided to just flat call play it safe this time and thank god i did because my opponent flips over pocket sevens for a hand that's gonna be pretty hard to beat moving along to the next hand which keeps in theme with the rest of the video where there's a limper from early position and i decide to isolate with a mediocre hand this time seven five of hearts once again similar to the previous hand it folds back to him and he makes the call so heads up in position to the most miraculous seven high you'll probably ever see nine six four with two hearts so we flop a straight draw a flush draw backdoor trip straw i think we somehow have a royal flush draw as well so when he checks it to me i decide to continue betting i make it 35 and he instantly check raises to 200 i think it's pretty hard to mess this one up whether it's through a call or a raise i'm not really a big fan of putting in a bunch of raises on the flop however so i decided to just proceed with a call and we're off to a turn card here which is the five of diamonds this time however my opponent decides to slow down and check it over to me i think i'm happy to check it back here see a free river card which brings a little more help than the turn did in the king of hearts so we now hit one of our many outs in the deck once again he checks it over to me and to be completely honest i don't know what my opponent has here and what exactly i'm targeting so in those scenarios i just default to how big would i bet with a bluff and in this case i think around two-thirds would be the magic number so that's what i decided to bet unfortunately he lets it go pretty quick so seems like he didn't have much in this next hand once again the button straddle is on we see a limp from the small blind and middle position before looking down at ace eight of hearts seems like love is in the air with all these hearts on being dealt jesus that was a shitty joke i apologize but anyway i raise it up to 50 dollars and get called by the button and small blind but the middle position player folds so three ways here to a flop of jack 6'4 with a heart small blind checks it over to me and i actually decide i'm going with it this time board seems pretty innocent it's unlikely we're up against super strong holdings aside from i guess pocket sixes and pocket fours but it's pretty hard to hit a set and this is just a board where most people aren't bluffing so for that reason that's exactly what i'm gonna do i start off with a small bet i suspect this plan will probably take two maybe even three streets of aggression so no need to bet huge just yet and indeed i get called by the button and small blinds so still three ways here to return which is the deuce of hearts doesn't really change much aside from completing 5'3 and also giving me all the excuse i need to continue barreling when the action checks to me once again i'm just gonna keep betting it should look pretty strong given that i raced pre-flop bet the flop into two opponents got called in both spots and now i'm still betting on the turn i imagine it's easy to believe i've got an over pair or maybe a hand like ace jack however because i can only bet a 500 max on the river i don't want to go too big just yet because if i do then i'm not really going to be able to bet that big on the river in relation to the pot i decide to size down a bit to 250 dollars and get called by the button but the small blind gets out of the way so heads up here to a river card which is the jack of clubs a pretty miserable card all things considered i'm really not a big fan of bluffing on board pairs but we've come this far and at the very least we get a pretty cheap price on a bluff here since you know we can only bet 500 bucks if he has a jack obviously he's gonna raise but what i think is most likely is he's got a one pair holding maybe pocket sevens through pocket tens or perhaps a hand like six five suited that picks up some more outs on the turn and decides to continue so i decided to just go for it i put in the five hundred dollars and my opponent starts thinking about it for a while fingers crossed here just waiting for my opponent to make a decision and that's what he does after about 30 seconds when he says nice hand i fold very nice this one gets through and my opponent in this hand was a really nice guy so i hope he doesn't watch poker vlogs in the next one i decide to make life a little bit easier by upgrading all the way to the best hand possible pocket aces however it's not really that exciting of a hand there was an open firm early position i re-raised on the button and got called by someone in the blinds and the original opener the flop came down 10 deuce deuce i put in a c bet once it checked to me and sadly everyone folded so not a ton of action but everyone likes to see pocket aces right there you go moving on to this next hand which is a lot more interesting i think in this one we see the under the gun player limp in and the player next to act raises it up to 20 dollars action gets all the way to me on the button and i look down at ace deuce of diamonds action gets back to the under the gun limper and he makes the call as well so three ways here to a flop and of course it's like the poker gods punish me for finally not raising someone pre-flop by putting down 5-4-3 with a diamond actions on the under-the-gun player who checks it to the initial razor and i'm happy to see that he continues to put money in this pot to the tune of 30 when the action gets to me i think we have a pretty clear raise on our hands there's plenty of draws i could be doing this with and not only that but because it's spread limit we're not going to get a chance in this hand to bet more than 500 at any point so got to start building this pot early i raise it up to 105 and this is where it gets a little bit interesting because the under the gun limper decides to flat call after thinking it over for a while and the initial razer who bet on the flop folds fairly quickly so it seems like he was just c betting the flop with hopes and dreams now our heads up against the under the gun player i feel like he could very easily have pocket fives pocket fours or pocket threes i mean sure he could have seven six but if that's the case as you guys know god bless his soul here's all my money turn card comes the queen of spades i'm thinking about how much tibet when i realize my opponent's doing that for me he puts in 150 dollars i'm not really sure what the intention is here but what i do know is i very likely still have the best hand so i'm going to raise it up here i make it 550 and i'm happy to see my opponent puts in the call so a pretty sizable pot brewing here hoping for a river that doesn't really change things unfortunately we don't get that it's the deuce of spades putting four to a straight out there as well as a backdoor flush which i think is mostly irrelevant this time he decides to check it over to me and even though it's kind of hard to get value from worse on this run out i'm still going to try especially when you consider that i can only bet like a little over 1 3 the size of the pot right that's what i do i put in the 500 hoping to get a crying call from a set which i still think is his most likely holding sadly no love this time as my opponent folds and actually shows me pocket fours a very nice fold from my opponent here whose name is greg he actually got me a few drinks throughout the session so thanks a lot greg and nice lay down at this point in the night i'd been playing for around eight hours and it was getting kind of late so i decided to rack up and call it a day another fun session and as always i hope you guys enjoyed the hands [Applause] [Music] so [Music] well that was a lot of fun and i'm not just saying that because i ran amazing which seems to be the trend every time i turn on this camera but also because i mean damn how about that poker room right it's gorgeous super spacious all the chips and cards are brand new dealers were great the management was great everything ran smoothly i've really got no complaints and i'll definitely be coming back here especially if that spread limit rule gets lifted not the biggest fan of that but
