Mask content in PDF

okay let's see how to mask or redact some of the content in a document using Adobe Acrobat Pro so it's quite simple actually let's uh assume we would like to mask this paragraph step one go to tools menu find redact and click on the icon and you should see the menu here redact in text and images I'll tell you what sanitize document lay down so once you have this menu your cursor looks something like this like a sniper aim so select the paragraph or the text that you would like to mask as soon as you release your mouse the left key you are given the choice of apply before that before you click on apply to preview how the redaction or the mask content looks like just hover over it's you don't need to click on anything just hover over the content that you would love to be masked and this is how the output would be it's blacked out so once you click on apply it would ask whether you want to enable this option sanitized antimo hidden information just read about it it talks about the metadata and other stuff that already hidden in the document and you would love to permanently remove that so let's enable that click on continue apply redactions and okay let's save on the existing one I have nothing to lose there yes replace there you go the document the document now is masked and the downside is there is no undo there is no going back once you have clicked on apply and Save there's no way using this legal application that you can remove this reduction screen it's permanent two points to remember this is not Adobe Acrobat Reader you do not have this option in readers you only have this in Adobe Acrobat Pro yes there are third parties and free software available but they are not as effective as this the masking done by a third party doesn't act efficiently when you open the document to contain the actual content appears for a couple of milliseconds and then the reduction appears but let's see how this works close the document this is the one that you would love to see yep there you go I'll go to the content is redacted hope this helps let me know if you have any questions in the comments and thank you for watching
