NOW WE'LL TAKE A LOOK AT CURRENT CONDITIONS HERE. AS YOU CAN SEE, THIS LIFEGUARD POST STILL CLOSED RIGHT NOW. BUT BASED ON SOME FACEBOOK POST FROM FIRE RESCUE, THEY TELL US THAT AROUND 10 IN THE MORNING OR SO THEY'LL BE DETERMINING WHAT FLAGS WILL BE PUTTING UP. BUT BASED ON THE FORECAST THERE PLANNING IT WILL BE A ONE, A SINGLE RED FLAG WHICH MEANS WATER CONDITIONS ARE DANGEROUS. NOT SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS THE COUPLE. 51 YEAR-OLD BRIAN WARD OR AND 48 YEAR-OLD ERICA WAS HURT AND THE 2 TEENAGE KIDS GOT SWEPT OUT BY A RIP CURRENT. THE KIDS WERE ABLE TO BREAK THE CURRENT, BUT THE PARENTS WERE NOT ABLE TO. WE'RE TOLD ONE OF THE KIDS TRIED TO YELL FROM THE SHORE, SHOUTING INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET OUT OF THAT CURRENT. THE PARENTS WERE IN PANIC MODE. THAT'S WHEN THEY CALLED 9-1-1 AND A LIFEGUARD FROM A NEARBY GUARDED BEACH JUMPED IN TO TRY AND SAVE OCEAN RESCUE, FIRE RESCUE AND HOSPITAL STAFF ALL TRIED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TO SAVE THEM. OFFICIALS NOW HAVE A WARNING AND A REMINDER HOW TO HANDLE BEING CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT. >> LOT OF PEOPLE GET ARE FROM UP NORTH.
