here now one of the stars of ABC's hit show blackish she's just 15 years old but she's already the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history she has her own production company just made Forbes 30 under 30 list please give it up please tell me you slowed down long enough to celebrate the new year oh yes of course okay girl needs a break I'm not watching you on blackish also social media you took part in that decade challenge I did the picture of yourself from you know ten years ago yeah when you see this what you like at your first play in elementary school yeah that was back in Dallas Texas where I'm from and I was yes Eddie technically right here what's good um yeah that was my first ever play in my elementary school I was excited I was hyped I was a raggedy orphan it was nice you know I was excited can you imagine all that's transpired for you and that's ten years this decade I mean it's crazy it's surreal it's hard to express like how I feel because it doesn't even feel like that long ago like I'm still young no it's crazy how everything evolves in a way where it's just God's work you know amen to that amen to that yeah blackish blackish we want to show a clip from the upcoming episode your your character Diane do you see her as dowel yes Diane she's heading to the salon yes and having a few little issues yes don't scratch you got a relaxer coming unless you want that hair to be on fire you better just you know when you guys tell me not to scratch it it's just more this is torture torture Oh sweetie your generation got it easy with your latex gloves and your Vaseline discussion with Ricky I mean about hair I mean that is like almost a daily discussion yeah so many people but let's talk about what is it like with the cast you know all these years still together do you still enjoy each other as much as from day one of course I mean you we get tired like we're like a family like for sure like like that's literally us but it's always energy on set like great vibes I always feel like I learned something every day from like whether it's Anthony Tracy even mine even like miles and Marcus and who you are and all of them they they just make you feel at home which I love yeah well you feel right there at home yeah I know how is it that everybody's always calling you the run wonder kid I mean you were doing so many things at such a young age and I hear that when somebody asked you back in the day what do you want to be when you grow up what do you want to do and you said I said legend you want to be a legend that goes bald so we have some young people here in the audience what do you say to somebody who's got some some big dreams at a young age I would say I mean you don't need to know everything I don't know everything about the plan that I'm going through it's always taking one step at a time feel comfortable in the space that you are in you know there's no rush like either you like life is short for sure but like there's no rush in anything like you don't have to like over plan or over do something you know like plans always work but I always feel comfortable in the space that you're in like whether you need to take a break or not just make sure you are in the right path for yourself another day others and can we have a little fun along the way - okay okay that's the best part that's it it's always the best part having you here on GMA so our best to everybody and thank you so much I know you will blackish airs to tonight's 9:30 Eastern right here on ABC well hey there GMA fans Robin Roberts here thanks for checking out our YouTube channel lots of great stuff here so go on click the subscribe button right over right over here to get more of awesome videos and content from GMA every day any time we thank you for watching and we'll see you in the morning on GMA
