invite your holy spirit to dwell with us on this blessed sabbath day lord we thank you for waking us up enabling us to see another day another day to sing your praises and give you all that you do god look forward to that day you know that's that's the day that we get to see all our loved ones that has passed away on that day everybody's going to get to see adam and eve for yourself and i believe that i don't believe you're going to ask any questions amen amen i don't know about you i'm so excited and delighted to be here today as we celebrate uh not only our children uh come on let's give our children quite a big hand a big hand today let's give our children quite a big hand we want to thank teresa and the team for getting our children back singing with us we've been missing them and this is their first time back come on i don't know about you but i'm excited i'm excited to hear them sing today and and and be with them today you know we have a full day today we have we have baby blessings amen we have baptism after church amen amen i don't know about you but i'm looking forward to the day that when we all get to heaven we're going to sing and shout the victory if that don't put some smile on your face if that don't put some pepper in your step and give you a uh or give you some hope nothing else will you know because that's the most important thing this is what church is all about one day getting to see jesus for ourselves one day getting to see the father for ourselves one day getting to see the holy spirit for ourselves one day be able to see those angels that has been protecting you for yourself because you're going to be able to see and shout the victory we want to welcome you to the market street 7th adventist church 934th street oakland california thank god that you are here with us today we look forward to what we have in store today i just want to share with you uh uh sister uh felicia england birthday is this coming uh tuesday tuesdays i'm not mistaken on the 30. and so we want to say happy birthday to her now all right [Music] it's a happy birthday to you a happy birthday to you today we celebrate but take a day to give a life to you so happy birthday to you a happy birthday to you today we celebrated [Music] happy birthday happy birthday amen amen now you elders uh you me and i won't tell you that you need to check with elder edam because when you your wife have a birthday you're supposed to bless them amen amen i'm gonna leave it at that i'm gonna leave it to that amen amen now uh this week um on thursday um as the candidates come out come on y'all let's put our hands together put our hands together the candidates come out for baptism uh this thursday uh we elder uh um elder childs ella uh virgil childs and myself was able to do the funeral for that of brother uh larry king as uh sister sheila king that's elder wilman elder ray chapman son-in-law was laid to rest on thursday also elder chapman's sister was laid to rest this week as well so we want to keep that family in prayer amen also we want to pray for our deacon demonic brown he's not here yesterday elder robert childs oh there he is right there that's d amen amen amen elder robert childs and i um we were able to lay deacon demonic brown father to rest j uh john brown and uh and the family and so we want to pray for our families uh for our members who have have been suffering and you know uh sister jocelyn we want to keep your mother in prayer we want to keep your mother in prayer we thought that she was in the philippines but we found out that she's here and so we want you to know that we've been lifting her up in prayers too elder elem has all the other names so so last week i got a call from sister uh cherry winchester and she got on me because we did not mention her name she said call my name out let everybody know i need prayer and she's home and she's asking you to pray especially for her and so elder element have uh the rest of their names also the last but not least elder beverly thompson had a procedure this week and she's at home resting and she want to give a shout out to those of you that came out this past tuesday that served we served 500 meals were given out this past tuesday that i that beverly thompson and the team put together it's not done by this this is what the church when some of you donated to her uh from my understanding and she they put together a team uh this past tuesday they gave out 500 meals and uh a young man by the name of otis also helped them from grand advent and she wanted to give a shout out to him as well for the month of october what month did i say october our speakers our next salary is is our communion salad next happens what everybody communion salad we're going to do it inside this is our first time inside we got a special program we're going to put together for you uh the elders and i as we get together and we go and the deacons and the deaconess and we're going to have communion here now we're going to ask you to wash your feet before you come to church there'll be no foot washing service here amen amen so so whoever's close to you get them to wash your feet you wash their feet amen before you come to church next sabbath amen and then also the following sabbath which is the eighth starting friday night at seven o'clock and then sabbath uh is uh african-american convocation remember it's gonna be on uh it's gonna be on youtube uh you can see it uh on from you can go to our church youtube and you can see it will not we will not be in church on the 9th what did i say everybody so if you come the doors will be locked okay did y'all hear me now on that sabbath you get to stay home and look at church and your and you know how y'all used to do when we doing covert hey man i don't know you know because i went home so i can't tell you what but so i don't know okay so but on the 8th and the 9th african-american convocation okay he's going to be and i think he has that uh slide for me uh my brother jeff when you can put that up so we can see it we can see that slide that presentation on that slide but that's the eighth is at seven o'clock and then at salvador is all day all day cyber school the whole program we have a whole program that has been put together there it is and dr wesley knight is going to be our speaker and we have other presenters that will be on as well okay um jeff there ain't no other slides you have at this time okay okay women's day okay women's day that's my good friend dr janice johnson johnson-brown from nashville tennessee she's going to be our speaker for women's day and that day is going to be the 16th that's the 16th dr janice johnson brown and i think she also going to be doing some that evening because i know she has some books that she uh that she has written and that she will be here excellent young lady an excellent singer excellent preacher uh you're really going to be blessed on that day okay that's women's day on the 16th and then on the 23rd the 23rd i don't know if they have that announcement that's past appreciation day now the whole month of october is past appreciation month they celebrate that around the world around the world around the world around the world all right sit around the road around the world they celebrate the whole month of october so if you call me anytime in october and you got something you want to take me out or you know i like a massage you know i know a massage place you know and you know i get pedicures manicures i do all those things amen amen hey amen hey man take care of your body amen you last long amen amen amen so much for that so much for that amen but anyway anyway uh past appreciation month we will be celebrating here at our church on the 23rd amen and then on the third is youth day youth day so far i know um uh our youth leader has been sick and so she uh in the process of working on a speaker so work with us and so i will let you know that as soon as i get that information at this time i'm going to ask my elders to join me join me at this time ella elam if you can bring those books with you please uh if the elders will come and join me and also all sister lauren brown and she will come and join me at this time uh we have a special presentation at this time this time is this time now is for baby dedication amen so glad when pastor uh mentioned that we were gonna have a baby blessing and then he blessed me further and said we're gonna have four uh baby blessings so uh i have the pleasure of uh reading our first name um and we're gonna each give each of our uh the parents of these children this certificate that says pretty much the same thing certificate of dedication this is to certify that the child name i'll read the child's name in a minute was presented to the lord in dedication on september 25th 2021 at the market street seven day adventist church oakland california and then the parents name so if i can invite the parents of malachi august daniel etienne up to the platform [Applause] amen i'm gonna bring him up with you all right well this is a certificate of dedication to little malachi august daniel at the end this is his parents didier i hope i got that right and crystal etienne this is for you [Applause] we also want to call up ellie renee williamson parent melissa renee carter okay we'd like to present this certificate to the mother julissa renee carter [Applause] renee me and i have guyama jamisaya naija the parent is gwyndolin and emmanuel niger [Applause] i have the pleasure of introducing to you namdi chigozi najib [Applause] carter and emmanuel najib and on behalf of children excuse me and on behalf of children's ministry we have a gift for each of you proverbs 22 6 says train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it it is our prayer that these stories will help you bring up your little one in the way of the lord come on let's put our hands together and show some love [Applause] it's a blessing to be able to dedicate children to the lord you know it's so important that we understand what the bible says suffer little children come unto me and forbid them not for such is the kingdom of god you know christ says that that that in order to to go to heaven we gotta have an attitude like kids because they know how to forgive and forgive and forget and so you know today we gave them three books we gave them the book abby and his home avid's home talks about how you ought to train your child and how you ought to govern them at home because the home is the first place that children fall in love with jesus christ through them parents and through those that come into the home the home is supposed to be a place where warmness and love kindness and joy and peace is to bring those children up in the fear and ammunition of the lord also we gave them the books uh child goddess child guidance is a book that talks about how you raise your child and how you instruct your child and how you give them direction in their life uh one of the best books that is written and then we gave them the bible the b-i-b-l-e yes that's the book for me and we gave him the bible why because all 66 books will direct you uh it is a map to heaven and so when you study the bible and when you study the word of god you have a direction to go to heaven if you can turn my mic on as i naughty the babies at this time hey man let us pray father god we thank you again for the blessing of life but we realize that these little ones that have come to you today to be dedicated to be lifted up to you and so today lord we ask now that you bless their mothers bless their families the fathers that are here lord bless the families that are here to represent them that are sitting in the audience and so father today we realized that raising a child because they say it takes a village to raise a child and so today because they are blessed here at the market street seven day adventist church that we all take responsibility for being a part of each and every one of these child's lives that we will continue to to instruct them and guide them and protect them and lord whatever they need lord help us to be willing to support them and support these families that they will continue to raise their children in the fear and ammunition of the law we ask now that as the order has been placed on these families law we realize that there's no power in the oil the power and believing that in the person who created them who sustained them who's interceding for them and who's coming back for them to take them home and so father we ask today that as we anoint these children that their parents as well as their children will look forward to the day when they see you coming in the clouds of glory with all your angels and each and every one of us will bear to say lord this is our god we have waited on him and he will save us bless them keep them god and protect them until we see you in the clouds of glory in the name of jesus we pray amen amen all right god bless you man thank you okay come on put our hands together as they're a little a little octave deeper now uh because our little girls have grown up but it is so good to see them back in the house i'm telling you and and boy they they sung it i mean he has done marvelous things i mean despite coving despite earthquakes and hurricanes and he's done marvelous things i i hope you haven't missed that you know because if you look at the news you think this is this is the end but he has done marvelous things marvelous things it's prayer time it is time to have a season of prayer a time to communicate with this god that has never let us down never let us down anybody ever been let down you know how it feels to get let down but god has never let us down as a collective as individuals he has never let us down now we've got a list of names uh that we're going to lift up uh in prayer and and it's a static it's a photo copy and i know that we all have lives that are in motion so if you have a prayer request in your mind speak that name or those names because guess who's gonna hear it god's gonna hear it so i may it may not be on my list but it's on god's list and again marvelous things he's a marvelous guy there's nothing too big or too small sometimes we feel like oh i'm just gonna save the big stuff for god given the little ones too giving the little ones too and we just had a baby blessing four babies were blessed uh but there are other babies that you know about that need the the anointing power of god so speak those names in your mind as well but as you do that keep in mind as you pray throughout the day and throughout this week uh keep brother lawrence uh in your mind as he is in rehab be with uh brother buchanan uh be with our good deacon kenyatta i was so lifted up last week when i looked out in the audience and saw my good brother kenyatta in the house uh but continue to lift he and the roe family up lord uh be with stacy king and and and we're gonna lift up our good sister cherry winchester i heard she's back home and and she's probably listening in hi cherry uh we'll list you up we're going to lift you up in prayer our good elder bobby moore i mean it has been it has been so often that it's routine that i look up to my left and i can see elder bobby moore running something on the board and i don't see him and i miss him but god is with him so we're going to lift his name up uh uh uh the grandson of of elder uh of deacon armstrong and sister armstrong jalen doss uh we're gonna lift him up in prayer we're gonna lift up uh deacon damani brown as you've heard he funeralized his father just yesterday we're gonna lift his family up in prayer uh brother john brown uh we're gonna lift up in prayer uh sharon campbell and her family she lost her father uh not too long ago uh and sister carol wright she passed away so we're going to lift up her family and our own associate pastor willis is not here because he's attending to a funeral of his arm so we're going to lift up that family as they go through this this this process that we're all going to be called to go through one day if you're not going through it now uh elder charles bradford and his family as he's passed away and elder benny brown uh we're gonna lift up uh pauline's niece monica we're gonna lift up nico and our own elder beverly thompson we're going to lift him up and again those people in your life that you want to lift up say the name in your mind god's going to hear it because it's prayer time it is prayer time it's time to bring these names these concerns these issues to the feet of the cross to the feet of the cross so if i can ask you to kneel where you sit as we bring forward and we're going to lift up pete henry uh you can say those in your mind you don't have to shout out to me you can say those in your mind and god will hear you uh but we're going to have prayer we're going to lift up these names to a god who is able amen is he able god is able so great god in heaven lord we come to you now a people in the need of prayer lord we've vocalized and we've said names in our minds lord that people that we'd like to lift up for prayer we ask lord and you know them lord you know their circumstances you know their condition and and you have the solution lord we ask lord in the name of jesus lord that your spirit will move throughout this this earth throughout this world and attend to those in need lord be with those in haiti be with those lord across this country lord who are without a power with without water lord without food lord who are stressed and anxious filled lord i ask lord that you will give them this sabbath rest that you have given us that you will give them this rest lord that they can have throughout the the week as we learned in sabbath school that we can have this rest all we have to do is turn it over to you lord we come to you lord because we're in need we're come to you lord because we're unable to get ourselves out of the circumstances we find ourselves in we thank you so much for waking us up this morning we thank you so much lord for watching over us as we've come to church lord seeking to worship you in spirit and truth lord i ask that you will be with the uh pastor lord as he stands behind the desk lord as he as he shares with you have given to him to give to us lord open our hearts lord free our hearts lord from the anxiety and the cares of this world so there will be room enough lord for your spirit lord and help your spirit that will take hold and take root lord you say you're at the door knocking and all we have to do is open it and invite you in and you promise to come in and sup with us lord bless us and keep us bless this market street church bless the churches to the length and breadth of this land that we will be about your business not our own lord i ask these things in the mighty wonderful name of jesus with the forgiveness of our sins amen amen well it is again my favorite time of our worship service it's tithe and offering time and i shared with you last week why it's my favorite and i've got some information for you but before i give you that information i'm going to ask the deacons to stand and and get ready to lift up our tithes and offerings great god in heaven lord we thank you so much lord for this opportunity lord to be obedient thank you for this opportunity to give back what you have asked us to do we ask that you will bless it and apply it where you see fit this is in this is my prayer in the mighty name of jesus amen as you know we have we have a church budget every month and that budget is to design to keep this church going keep the lights on the air blowing in the heat and the in the the heat in the cold weather and uh it's 14 300 that's a month that's what we we use your church expense for so when you and your tithe envelope you put a number for church expense that's where it's going towards that budget well i am pleased to report that as of last sabbath we've collected eight thousand six hundred and thirty dollars of that fourteen thousand three hundred so those of you who are math wizards and who have figured out the deficit in your mind amen to you but for those of us who need a calculator or something else i'm going to share that number with you that we need uh to meet our budget we need 5 700 additional dollars to meet our monthly obligation and the good news is you've got we've got time to do that uh and so if you forgot your checkbook today uh you forgot your your advent is giving app password today there's time to get that worked out and so what we need again is five thousand seven hundred dollars so that we can meet our our monthly obligation can we can we be faithful to god because he's been faithful to us yes so we can be faithful to him and so i thought we thought as as a board of elders and and the pastoral leadership that it would be good to keep you in the know so you know exactly where we are week to week so that you know maybe you you you had it and you saw i'm gonna give it next week uh when we could make budget if you'd given it at the at the appropriate time so i just wanted to give you that information and again it'll be a constant theme in our tithing offering we want to keep you in the know amen amen god is good all the time god is good thank you so much [Music] do [Music] [Music] happy savage thanks to god they told me i was right so we're gonna introduce our um market street news alert that's gonna be on the screen there once were three jewish men named shadrach meshach and abednego hey when they were very young they were taken from israel to live in a place called babylon at that time the king of babylon was a man named nebuchadnezzar that's it almost there and he made a gold statue that was 90 feet tall perfect the king sent a message for everyone to come to the dedication of his statue when everyone had assembled it was declared that people of all races nations and languages would bow before the statue and worship king nebuchadnezzar's statue when they heard the sound of musical instruments if anyone refused they would be thrown into a fiery furnace so at the sound of the musical instruments all the people bowed to the ground and worshiped but shadrach meshach and abednego did not because they were jewish and would only bow to the one true god some of the wise men of babylon went to the king and told him that shadrach meshach and abednego refused to bow to the statue what this made the king very angry and he asked shadrach meshach and abednego if it was true that they would not bow to the statue then he said he would give them one more chance to bow down and if they did not bow they will be thrown into the fire shadrach meshach and abednego replied that they didn't need to defend themselves against the king they said if we are thrown into the blazing furnace the god whom we serve is able to save us he will rescue us from your power your majesty but even if he doesn't we want to make it clear to you your majesty that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up the king was so angry with shadrach meshach and abednego that he commanded the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than usual then he ordered shadrach meshach and the bindigo to be bound and thrown in the fire the fire was so hot that it killed the soldiers that threw them in so shadrach meshach and abednego fell into the flames but suddenly the king jumped up and said to his advisors didn't we tie up three men and throw him in the furnace the advisor said yes but the king said look i see four men walking around the fire and the fourth looks like a god then the king shouted to shadrach meshach and abednego come out so shadrach meshach and abednego stepped out of the fire and everyone saw that the fire had not touched them they didn't even smell of smoke then nebuchadnezzar praised the one true god of shadrach meshach and abednego who had rescued them from the fire and the king made a new command that anyone who spoke a word against the god of shadrach meshach and abednego would be greatly punished then he promoted shadrach meshach and abednego in his court shadrach meshach and abednego trusted in god and were willing to die rather than worship any god but their own god okay that definitely wasn't our msc news alert that was our children's story there bibles i want you to turn with me to the book of leviticus chapter 23 and we're going to read together verse 26 through 32 leviticus chapter 23 verse 26-32 if you have your bible stand with me as we read the word of god to show respect to god not to the pastor but to god amen amen let us all stand for the reading of the word leviticus chapter 23 verse 26 through 32 and the bible says the lord spake unto moses saying also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement it shall be an holy convocation unto you and ye shall afflict your souls and offer an offering made by fire unto the lord and ye shall do no work in that day for it is a day of atonement to make an atonement for you before the lord your god for whatsoever so it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day he shall be cut off from among his people and whatsoever so it be that any work in that same day the same soul will i destroy from among his people the bible goes on and says ye shall do no man up work it shall be a statue forever throughout your generation in all your dwellings it shall be unto you a sabbath of rest and ye shall afflict your souls in the ninth day of the month at eve from eve until eve shall ye celebrate your sabbath the day of atonement the day of atonement let us pray father god we thank you today that we can come and worship you in spirit and in truth fill his love with your spirit today lord because we love you lord we have been challenged by our children choir today lord to fall in love with jesus and to keep you most prevalent in our lives so we ask now you hide your servant behind the cross and we can only see the face of jesus being lifted high allow your holy spirit to have his way and we'll be careful to give you the praise give you an honor give you the glory in the name of the father name of the son name of the holy spirit we pray in jesus name amen you may be seated you may be seated you may be seated i don't know about you but as i got up this morning and as i realized the importance of of today and and how and how god has tremendously blessed us how god has tremendously kept us in spite of ourselves you know this this has been a a a what we're going on what about 19 months now that we've been dealing with this pandemic it's been about 19 months and here we are you know the first time in my life i can go in the bank with a mask on i had on some sunglasses on and nobody tried to hold me up i think i'm coming to rob them the time that we're living in the days that we're living in every day we see something different happen we see alerts on our phones we see uh earthquakes in the virus places we see floods we see all kinds of things happening at the border now people trying to get into the united states and being turned away on horse people on horse with trying to hit him and all they try to do is get to some freedom but here we are in the house of god here we are rushman god in spirit and in truth in our right minds and yet we have a god that has done so much for us the devil atonement young kipper at one minute a oneness relationship with god the hebrew means to cover that's what it means in hebrew to cover the old testament sacrifice could not actually remove sin only cover them and until christ sacrificed on the cross would give all people the opportunity to have sin removed from their lives forever the old testament before the cross they pointed to the cross here we are on the other side of the cross and you and i still have to point back to the cross because at the cross we are all equal at the crosses where healing come at the cross is where jesus gave his life not only for me but for you and so when we read leviticus chapter 16 1-34 it gives a complete picture of the day of atonement at oneness when people will come and afflict their souls and make sure that they have confessed to all sins because if they hadn't they would fall dead and you know here we are in 2021 and we go to sleep at night knowing that we mad at somebody knowing that we have a different disagreement with somebody and yet we allow the sun to go down on that raft but then that was no time you had to make sure everything was right the first day of the month the blowing of the trumpet nine days of heart searching who shall live or who shall die he only had to spend hours preparing himself to meet god but we can approach god today approach god anytime with a privilege and we need to thank god it's a privilege to be able to approach god and you don't have to go through no high priest you don't have to approach god to go through me or the elders you can fall on your knees and go straight to the throne room of god we are off we often it is so easy asset to god that the high priest of the old testament time still we must never forget that god is holy you know we need to realize that when we come into when we hit these grounds we are on holy grounds we need to recognize that god has set this place for us to come and worship him in spirit and in truth and we are on holy grounds oh i love it when i get here because one thing about when you get here no matter how the devil come you can say get thee behind me satan we must never forget that god is holy nor let this privilege cause us to approach god carelessly see the way of the way to god has been opened to us by christ jesus but easy access to god doesn't eliminate our need to prepare our hearts as we draw near in prayer that's why when elderly elim lifted us up in prayer we need to understand prayer changes things you know prayer is the key that unlock heaven's storehouse prayer is what kept me from being dead in nashville tennessee prayer is what kept you because if it was up to the devil he caused this roof to fall in on all of us and wipe us all out but because of prayer uh my mama prayed for me what about you you see the garment of the high priest says the high priest laid aside his pontifical dress and officiating the white linen dress of a common priest so christ emptied himself and took the form of a servant and offered sacrifice himself the priest himself the victim as the high priest after performing his service in the holy of holies which is the most holy place came forth to the waiting congregation in his pontifical role so christ will come the second time clothed in glorious garments my brothers and sisters of the whitest white such as no full on earth can it that then whiter can't can't imagine you think you got on a white road right there or a white baptism will wait until we see jesus he will come in all his glory market street church you know in the glory of his father as king of king and lord of lord i don't know about you i can't wait to that day i can see him right across the sky in his white horse and on one side king of king and on the other side lord of lords all the angelic hosts we didn't escort him on his way to come and take us home so i get excited when the sun set on friday i don't know about you because i just think it might just be the last one god the father would be with him god the holy spirit would be with him and what a day of rejoicing is going to be lenora what a day all our loved ones that have fallen asleep in jesus christ will be resurrected this chapter explained to us what christ jesus is doing in heaven right now the way of the lord they say thy way oh lord it's what in the sanctuary so in leviticus chapter 16 verse 1 the bible says the lord speaking unto moses even though aaron had been appointed at high priest god still recognized moses as the leader and gave aaron instruction through moses in verse 2 the bible says that he come not this was soon after the death of the two sons of aaron and recorded in chapter 10. though there were yet some months until the day of atonement god instructed aaron relatives to to it that he might have sufficient time to become acquainted with this ritual in verse two it says the veil there was two veils in the sanctuary one leading from the court into the first apartment the other separating the two apartments the veil here refers to is the second bell in hebrew chapter nine verse three the one before the mercy seat it was before this veil that the priest stood as they offered incense upon the altar of incense before the mercy their their sight could not pierce the veil but they knew that on the other side of it was the ark with his mercy where god had promised to meet with his people the figures of cherubims embroidered on this veil represented to them the angels that stand before the throne of deity the veil shielded them from the consuming glory of god and at that same time it permitted them to approach closely you see the cherubims must have brought vividly to their minds the sheriff and stationed at the garden of eden in genesis chapter 3 verse 24. the bible says in genesis chapter 3 and verse 24 it says so he drove out the man and his plate and placed the east of the garden of eden cherubims talking about angels of flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life you see god had to make sure that adam and eve couldn't get back in the garden because if they could get back in the garden they continue to eat from the tree of life and they will live forever but god had promised that nobody would live a day help me somebody what is the day you see the bible says a day equals what a thousand years and nobody in the bible lived to be a thousand years they died before then so adam and eve had sinned they could not pass the sheriff neither could the priests in the sanctuary pass the symbolic cherubims and enter into the place the presence of god that must have been deeply impressed upon them the holies of god none but the high priest could enter the holy of holies to minister but but but briefly one day in the year now you know here's the amazing thing about that part of the story before the cross the hope the priest could only come in on the day of the atonement but on after the cross you and i can go directly to the throne of grace which is the holy place and our prayers can get to god oh y'all y'all don't y'all don't feel me y'all don't feel me or maybe y'all don't feel the god feel i'ma say this again you need to know that before christ died on that cross you had to go to a priest once a year for him to go on the day of atonement to make sure that all your sins were forgiven today because christ is the high priest who's interceding for us he went in 1844 uh when you go back and read it you know uh the great the disappointment uh y'all with me now uh and on in 1844 uh when when jesus moved from the holy place to the most holy place and everybody thought he was getting ready to come he couldn't come because we wasn't there come on to help me somebody uh you get that weed when you get home amen if you don't understand we other eat them an elder child but anyway in 1844 jesus moved from the holy place to the most holy place and and and the military movement thought he was getting ready to come but they didn't understand that everything wasn't finished wasn't finished one finished one finished and so jesus moved into the most holy place because judgment began at the house of god and because of jesus being in the most holy place you can fall on your knees and go straight to the throne room of heaven into the most holy place and jesus cries out my blood my blood forever alan my blood my blood for you my blood and you know something you're saying is blotted out right then but then we have to understand none but the high priest could enter the holy place of holies to minister but briefly one day in the year immediately behind the veil was where there are containing the tables of the law it was with reference to the law that the blood was sprinkled for in sinning men had broken the law and transgressed demanding atonement the sprinkling of the blood was an acknowledgement of the authority of the law and a symbolical token payment of its demand either for perfect obedience or for the life of the disobedience obey and live disobey and die well you know doing this pandemic god gave you an opportunity to get closer to him so you can obey and live well this decree went forth having to sprinkle blood never reach the law for the veil intervened and even on the day of atonement when the veil was drawn aside and and the blood sprinkled in the holiness the blood didn't reach the law the mercy covered the law and there the blood rested you see the mercy was a type of jesus christ uh help me out there romans chapter 3 verse 25 when we read it god sent forth christ jesus to be a perpetuation or a mercy seat that's what it means in in greek in the new testament in in it means a mercy seat in the old testament in hebrew that jesus christ is our mercy you see you've got a mercy in jesus christ in other words when the mercy seat is seen what happens preacher but christ's death on the cross paid the penalty for our sin that's why you don't have to worry about what you did in the past jesus already got there when you go down into the watery grave and come up anew hey everything that was passed was buried in the water now understand me now water don't make you clean helping somebody you need to understand what makes you clean it's the acceptance of jesus christ and you decided to go down in the water to show your respect back to the those that know you better that you have turned your life around and given it to jesus christ i remember growing up in nashville tennessee and they used to call me by my nickname uh downtown freddie brown and you know but when i went down in the water they had to back up from that amen christ jesus saves us by taking our place on the cross and pleading our case over the broken law he stands between us and the law and saves us from his penalty from what the law said the what law said the wages of sin is death how many in here hadn't seen raise your hand so that means all of us supposed to be what again but it detects this but the gift of god is eternal life through jesus christ to see we on that side where the body is helping somebody hey because of the but you and i have eternal life that's why god changes our name when we accept him as our lord and savior jesus christ he don't call you by your old name he gives you a new name and right now he calls you saying but the problem is you have a problem with calling yourself a saying a saying does not mean that you won't slip and fall help me somebody a saint do not mean that you want that that sin won't knock at your door what the word saint means that you recognize who you serve see the priests enter the sanctuary with the blood of a slain animal by virtue of it christ by the power of an inscribable life but after the power of a endless life i said praise the lord internach with the blood of goats and calf but with his own blood praise the lord church with his own blood once into a holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us in hebrew chapter 9 verse 12 we are invited to follow jesus christ there by faith so when you get on your knees at nighttime that's why you hear me say no bible no breakfast no bible no bed you know because you ought to get up in the morning time the first thing you ought to do is fall on your knees and say lord thank you for the blood thank you for the blood the blood that cleansed me the love the blood that sustained me you know you ever been in a situation and you know uh sometimes we got to rebuke ourselves because you know we can we can make ourselves talk stupid sometimes help me somebody you see we are invited to follow jesus christ there by faith church of the living god hebrews chapter 4 verse 16 hebrew chapter 4 verse 16. my screen not owns i don't know what y'all seeing behind me but anyway let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace you hear grace prayer is our approach to god church of the living god and we ought to come boldly unto the throne of grace some christian approach god meekly with heads hung you know they scared to come together heads hung some christian approached god uh uh afraid to ask him to meet their needs afraid to ask them to meet their needs others play flippantly with little thoughts come with reverence for he is your king but he is your lord for he is your savior he created you he redeemed you he's into seeing it for you and he's coming back for you so when you come to him come believing that whatever you ask he's willing to do you know i never forget that day i was laying there in the hospital to bed they told me i was paralyzed never walk again you know i was laying there my spine had snapped in half and when they showed me the x-ray i said oh lord that's a that's a hot mess you know it was like this it was it it just snapped and it was like this it was like this on the x-ray so ain't no way the rail is going to come back like that i'm laying there in the bed and i said lord what are you going to do i can't do nothing you know nurses coming in washing me up you know i wasn't feeling i wasn't feeling that at all you know but i couldn't do nothing i couldn't do nothing i was i was messed up i said lord you know what the text says come boldly to the throne of grace are y'all with me come boldly to the throne of grace man i started pulling everything out i went back to i was five years old lord i've been faithful since i was five with my tithe and offering i wasn't faithful in the other things i was in the streets lord but i know you know i was still coming to church i told the truth i ain't no need in line now man i messed up i said lord you know you know i don't look lord you know we have a relationship i don't know how you gonna fix this but you need to do something i got to go home i got to get up out of here you know i said lord what are you going to do i said no i was on a trip for you i went tripping for myself i was on this trip for you i was going to united youth congress on my way to united youth congress in a in a van flipped four and a half times and here i am paralyzed i said lord now you knew this day was going to come now what are you trying to say to these doctors i had 10 11 doctors assigned to me i hear them adventists come we need to move you to the adventist hospital i said right now y'all need to leave me alone and pray for me i said god got where i need to be right now i would wake up and people would be in my room praying over me people were coming because remember i was going to your 90-year congress over 100 000 people were there and i never forget sabbath that's why you can't stop me from coming to church i don't care what pandemic it is i don't care man look here that's sad i'm in the bay praying monday i supposed to have an operation and if they operated on me that monday i would never had been able to walk because they were getting ready to put screws in my back they were going to pull me back in place and screw me i didn't sound right but that's what they were going to do to me are y'all with me now i don't know where your mind is but i'm talking about my back help me holy ghost i'm talking about my back they were going to put his coral screws so they were going to screw screws in me thank god for the holy ghost thank god for the holy ghost that's why christ is our mercy church the new and living way jesus christ has opened for us and he himself has tried it in the way of the cross the way of said you know not what you asked are you able to drink of the cup that i shall drink of and to be baptized with the baptism that i am baptized with they said unto him we are able and he said unto him you know remember he's talking to who his disciples he said unto them ye shall drink indeed of my cup and be baptized with the baptism that i am baptized with but to sit on my right hand and on my left is not mine to give come on talk to me now talk to me now cause i got excited right there because that means you might be there i can be there because he couldn't give it to them the father decides this look what the text says but it shall be given to there for whom it is worth prepare of by my father that means that i can be on his left or on his right that can mean that you can be there those who accept him his invitation must be willing to go with him by the way of the cross you see salvation comes by the way of the cross it is those who follow him will be there it is better world church have the privilege of living in his presence you see the same lesson is presented to us in the breaking of the bread and drinking of the cup you see next week is going what is a communion salad that's why you don't run from communion yourself you run two communities out you know as a kid i used to remember that churches used to fill up for communion saddle folks that ain't been to church in months showed up for communion you know you look around and say what who's that you know when communion came everybody showed up you know why because this is my body which was broken for you this is the cup of the new testament you see in first corinthians chapter 11 verse 24 and 25 it says as we take the cup and as we take as we take the broken bread we enter into a solemn covenant with god that we will go all the way all the way even though this may means a broken body and it's shedding about blood and modern and you know i was there like i said i was there but the holy ghost walked in the room on the side it seemed very or most fitting that god's remnant church should be time noble's offsprings what are you saying preach on earth shines the light of all past ages what am i saying we have inherit not only the weakness of past generation but also the accumulated biblical knowledge of all past generations now yeah what do you mean to us has come light on scripture such as have never given to no other person we have light on the sanctuary we have we have the martial world of prophecy through the prophet come on and talk to me now uh we have an untrusted oracle of god and we understand the work that christ jesus is doing now in the heavenly sanctuary we have been given the great privilege of healing to the world that the hour of god's judgment has come you know you know yesterday uh the other child that we got through at that funeral one of the guys came up to me and said you're the first person i heard preach on revelation i was at a funeral we have church of the living god the end of all things at hand what man of men or woman are you and i to be in the midst of this pandemic uh uh peter pins this word in second peter chapter chapter 3 verse 11 and 12. look at it in second peter chapter 3 verse 11 to 12. look what peter said peter says seeing that all things all these things shall be dissolved what man or person ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness he goes on he says in verse 13 i mean verse 12 looking for and hastening unto the coming of the day of god weighing in the heavens being on fire shall be what everybody dissolved and the elements shall melt with what fervent heat christ's second coming will be sudden and terrible for those who do not believe in him that's the reason for baptism that's the reason to go down into this wider grave and come up anew but if we are morally clean and spiritually alert it won't come as a surprise realizing that the earth is going to be burned up man i don't i don't want to be down here i don't care i don't care what god give me down here it ain't nothing compared to what i'm going to get when i get up there so don't get caught up we should put our confidence church in what is lasting and eternal not not being bound to the earth and his treasures of pursuit do you spend more time of your time piling up possessions or striving to develop christ-like character you see the ark in verse 2 below the mercy where the ten commandments were the very foundation of the throne of god here at the ark justice and mercy myth here righteousness and peace kissed each other here god revealed himself here was the secret place of the most high are y'all with me now the ark and the mercy were the center of the entire sacrifice what are you saying in other words that he died now the carson given aaron is reminded of the disaster that that had come upon his sons because of their disobedience see they came in that was strange fire and god killed him and you know you need to be careful when we come in here with strange fire yeah i know y'all got quiet right there you know some of y'all coming in here and looking for somebody you need to leave him alone this is god's house you be down be careful how you come in here this is holy grounds and god can't open the ground don't think that he can't how do you see see the problem is that we've had so much uh uh leeway that we forget that he sits high and look low see the presence of the cloud above the mercy is no way implies that the holy holies was dark for with the cloud was the glory of the lord and it's kind of the visible the evidence that god was indeed with his people above and beyond the mercy to man it might appear that god dwells in darkness but god is light and in him there's no darkness at all there's no darkness in god he dwells in light which no man can approach in revealing himself to his people god ever veiled his glory with a clown so this mortal being might be aware of his presence and yet able to endure it that's what let me let me make it a little plain for you remember that god the father and god the holy spirit hid themselves in a cloud when jesus was down on the cross because if they didn't hide themselves everybody that was there around the uh jesus on the cross would have died so they hid themselves in a cloud that's why jesus christ i eli eli lamb i saw baptized to say my god my god why has thou forsaken me because that was the first time that he ever was separated from his father and the holy ghost and the reason why he had to be separated because he went into the second death jesus was tasting the second death that you and i don't have to taste oh y'all with me y'all with me y'all didn't hear me right there i'm saying there's a death that you and i don't have to take that's the second death you will die one time but after that death you can be resurrected because that death is asleep but brother and sister if you wake up in the wrong resurrection help me holy ghost if you wake up in the wrong one your hips will be burned up and you will be you'll be looking at the devil and the devil will be looking at you and you'll be wondering why am i here with him the holy place throughout this chapter moses called the second apartment the holy place the first apartment the tablet at the congregation when sin offerings and burnt offerings were presented together the sin often was brought first and demanded the noble victim hence the sin offering was a bullock hence the burnt offend was around in verse 4 of leviticus chapter 16 it says he shall put on the holy leaning code and he shall have the lining breaches upon his flesh and shall be girded with a linen garden girdle what am i saying and with the linen mar shall he be atar these are holy garments therefore shall he be washed therefore shall he wash his flesh in water and so put them on these costly garments my brothers and sisters not only were adorned with gold and precious stone the stones were represented to 12 tribe of ridge of israel that's that that was in the old testament but they also represented the 12 tribes of the disciples in the new testament so you had you had you had present and you had future oh y'all with me now certainly but but where also embroidered with the colors of the sanctuary i would find thread a pure girl the high priest also had on a road a rope tied around his waist he had a rope tied around his waist and the rope went all the way out of the most holy place to the holy place through the courtyard all the way out to the door so and he really had barrels around the bottom so that the people could hear him while he was in there because because if he fell dead they could drag him out you know remember that could nobody go in there but the high priest and so so if he fell dead they had a rope to pull him out you see the high priest represented christ his divine glory as the son of god you see on the day of atonement the high priest himself officiated in all parts of the service he conducted the daily morning and evening service array in this golden garment but for the unique ritual of the day of atonement the high priest wore the holy linen garment used exclusively up on this occasion this holy garment resembled those of the common priests except for the multi-color embroidered of the later there were probably also a finer texture that that those are the common priests use the high priest changed his garments several times during the dead and with each chain washed his entire body at the first light of the dawn according to the tombalu he removed his personal clothing and retired himself with golden garments in these he conducted the regular morning service this completed he removed the golden garment and put on the holy ghoner for the special service of the day these he later exchanged in his golden garment for the evening service and concluded of the evening service he exchanged one more to be personal personal clothing and retire for the sacred preaching of the sanctuary whereas the high priest clad in his golden garment representing christ to the people in his holy garment his his typified christ in his memorial capacity as a representative of the people before god the spotless white of the garment of the high priest upon the day of atonement typified the perfection of the character he and the people saw through the rights of that day as the high priest came forth to waiting congregation in his pontifical robe so christ will come the second time clothed in his garment of white as white as the close of his special service that day the people were clean from all their sins clean so as christ appeared to be his people they will be without fault before the throne of god sin offering aaron was to take two kids of the go-to congregation for a sin offering this was usually for in daily service a bullock was demanded as the offering for the people and not a goat but on the day of atonement was different from all other days the burnt offering the burnt orphan was to be around the same as for aaron consecration error was not only to slay the bullock at this time but was to present it to the lord as at the door of the tabernacle for his acceptance he left it standing near the altar of burnt offering and ready to offer it when the time should come this bulldog my brothers and sisters were for himself and for his family he alone was the officiate on his cell on occasion but he must be free from every stain of sin before he could appropriately typify christ in his meditatorial role what am i trying to say aaron was to take the two goats present them to the lord at the door of the tabernacle where they still with white with with lots was cast for them the amazing thing about these lots was is that one lock was carried for the lord's goal and other was care for the scapegoat so what he did was after he cast these lots he later then had to mark them they were made of more precious material and even of gold according to the top blue the ghost was to be as nearly a like as possible in other words they were close like twins oh y'all with me now to avoid any mistake after the loss were cast so a scarlet cord was placed around the horns of the scapegoat now remember that the scapegoat represented satan and about the neck of the lord's goat one goat is for the lord a personal being the other goat is for the it's for the devil another personal being but the difference is is that error was to kill this animal and use his blood and sprinkle it for for the people now let me go to where we are today since 1844 when jesus died on the cross and the high priest was in the sanctuary because it was the same weekend of the day of atonement when jesus died the high priest was in the most holy place getting ready to slay a lamb with his knife in his hand and jesus was on the cross are y'all with me now and jesus on the cross the high priest raised his hand and he had to drop the night because her head came in and tore and separated where you could see into the most holy place what am i trying to say god knew that this had to come to an end and that jesus had to come you see jesus came because man it had been a mess today we had to kill some animals but he came because he loved us so much that he was willing to come and die as a lamb and i always wondered why did jesus always well roll see i didn't think about that one did he you know his robe remember that they cast lots for his robe because his rope was of one piece go back and do a study on it because the high priest wore a robe of one piece and when jesus was on his earth he wore a robe of one piece one piece i hope y'all can get that now not a piece being sword and men together one piece and so so when he died on the cross all that came to an end but since he died on the cross his job didn't finish after he died on cross and a lot of people stop right there at jesus down on the cross and they go too well he rolls on sunday and so we don't have to do this and we don't have to do this but hey the bible says there's there's ten commandments you know five or four and it says duty to god and duties of man but if you look at the commandments it's really five and five because one goes both ways when you actually look at the commandments you look at the original commandments it's five or one stone and five on another stone and so and so jesus did this church because he loved us now here's the amazing thing that gets me about this whole story is that jesus is in heaven interceding now i was wondering why did jesus had to go go go be a high preacher in heaven why couldn't he just finish it up have you ever thought about that why couldn't he just finish it up he said father hey i died for them we don't i'm the high priest i don't need to go in and continue to intercede for them have you thought about me i asked those kind of crazy questions i don't know about you you know and i said lord why are you still interceding he's interceding because if he comes if he comes out that means the end of this world is over so the reason why he's still there is because he's giving the church more time to get right the problem is not goes outside it is the church when the church gets right then god will wrap this thing up in righteousness you need to understand he said he can finish the work anytime he can call his angels and his angels and come and finish the work he don't have to use us so he's giving us time to to go out and be a witness for him so he can finish this work if you want to go home and be with god then get busy get busy you bring somebody and put them and they put on a baptism road you go get somebody that's what it's all about if we're going to finish and go home and and and i know what the bible said and i know the pen of inspiration said she said the rook's going to be finished by the laity you ever wondered why she said that because it's more y'all than me come on talk to me and i'm gonna say that again it's more of y'all than me y'all know in bowser willis but it's two but still more so god said the work has to be finished with all of us in other words all of us got to join in and finish this work all of us got to make our committee one and stop being a witness for christ giving bible so it's not left up to the bible workers it's not left up to them it's you it's you every last one of us are bible workers every last one of us had been called by god every last one of us need to look back over our record and say lord who i brought to you in the last year so doing this pandemic who was i giving a bible study to so they can get so they can get their hearts right church of the living god christ is about to come we see all these things happen and he's holding he's holding back the winds of strife giving us more time church more than ever before we got to fall in love with jesus more than ever before we got to make our calling and election sure more than ever before it's time to finish this route it's time it's time thank god for leviticus chapter 16. it shows us what the plan of salvation is all about it shows us what the sanctuary in heaven is all about it shows us how much god loves us and cares for us the question i ask today is how much do you love him [Music] how much do you love him if you love him like he love you then go and tell somebody go and be a witness for christ go and bring somebody to jesus and let them know my brothers and sisters i've been praying for you i've been praying for you the other day i was working in my yard on my fence and trying to finish my fence because a young man jumped over my fence and ran through the neighborhood and tore up the fence took my torp fence all through our neighborhood and the police was after him and and so i was out there working on my fence my sister-in-law was here you know the sun last week well sonia and she was out there helping me because you know she's good let me put it that way let me put it this way she not only can sing but she can work in the yard amen and and so as we were fixing the fence [Music] my next door neighbor my neighbor behind me had helped me fix the fence [Music] he found out why we were fixing fence that i was a preacher he didn't know you know we speak to each other we talk to each other you know you know how it is you know you know you know you don't spend no time with the neighbor you just hey you know you keep it moving right you know and you know do a little talking you know here now and then and so we were fixing the fence out there digging holes and putting poles in the ground you know he said well what do you do i'm the pastor he said yo about that time one of y'all called and harry potter had it on speakerphone and he said so you are a pastor i said yeah i got a church so i got to talking to him and i said well this is my wife i induce him to a sister pastor he's a sister pastor my wife paula so his other came out y'all with me now his other came out and i said well what's your wife's name he said my wife she's not my wife she's my mother i kept digging hoes y'all with me now kept digging holes and you know i'm in my mind i'm saying how i'm gonna get around this one i'm gonna get around the hole this goes how we gonna get around this one so i got to talking to him after we finished the fence and build it up and everything he went and then the fence done separated us now but now we're back separated y'all y'all with me then y'all yo as the kid said do you feel me now so now he calls me on the phone pastor after spending that time with you it's time for me to get married [Music] i want to know when you do my wedding i was fixing fence i wasn't talking about doing all wedding come on talk to me now will you do my wedding i said sure when is the web he said it's coming sunday i said i'll be there what time and he told me what time when the wedding was outside it started pouring down raining the man's wedding we went inside had the wedding had the celebration fixing fence so my next-door neighbor his cat don't know how to use his yard so he comes over in my yard his wife you know she's from uh japan since the uk you know and so you know when she knocked on the door my wife said your girlfriend out there i said okay baby so i go and i talk to she brings me apples she your hearing they have studied these these 12 uh baptismal vows but we'll go over them i'll go through all 12 and then after i've read them i will ask you all candidates to attest to your new family that you adhere to these vows or agree with these vows number one do you believe in god the father in his son jesus christ and in the holy spirit number two do you accept the death of jesus christ on calvary as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of men and believe that through faith in his shed blood men are saved from sin and is penalty number three renouncing the world and its sinful ways have you accepted jesus christ as your personal savior and do you believe that god for christ's sake has forgiven your sins and given you a new heart number four do you accept by faith the righteousness of christ recognizing him as your intercessor in the heavenly sanctuary and do you claim his promise to strengthen you by his indwelling spirit so that you may receive power to do his will number five do you believe that the bible is god's inspired word and that it constitutes the only rule of faith and practice for the christian number six do you accept the ten commandments as still binding upon christians and is and is it your purpose by the power of the indwelling christ to keep this law including the fourth commandment which requires the observance of the seventh day of the week as a sabbath of the lord number seven is the soon coming of christ the blessed hope in your heart and are you determined to be personally ready to meet the lord and do all in your power to witness to his loving salvation and by life and word to help others to be ready for his glorious appearing number nine i mean number eight do you believe in god's remnant church and is your purpose to support the church by your tithes and offerings your personal effort and influence number nine do you believe that your body is the temple of the holy spirit and that you are to honor god by caring for your body avoiding the use of of that which is harmful number eleven knowing number 10 knowing that understanding the fundamental bible principles as taught by the seventh-day adventist church is it your purpose by the grace of god to order your life in harmony with these principles number eleven do you accept the new testament teaching of baptism by immersion and do you desire to be so baptized as a public expression of your faith in christ in the forgiveness of your in the forgiveness of your sins and number 12 finally do you believe that the seventh-day adventist church is the remnant church of bible prophecy revelations 12 17 and that the people of every nation race and language are invited and accepted into its fellowship do you desire to be a member of this local church of the world church how say you candidates amen amen we'll have a word of prayer consecration let's buy our heads we know that all heaven is joyful of the decision made by these candidates and we applaud the bible instructors and those who are involved in sharing with them the good news of christ and his soon return loving kind heavenly father lord we come thanking you for your grace and mercy lord we thank you realize that now they are family here at the market street church and that we are here for them we ask lord in a special way that this day as we have had babies to be blessed and now in baptism that each one will continue to remember this day until we see you coming in the clouds of glory with all your angels and all of us will be able to say this is our god we have waited on him and he will save us bless us until this day in the name of jesus we pray amen if you can if everyone can stand with me and move all the way to my left your right and so we can give them the right uh the bump of
