Mario Kart, but Sonic…

oh my gosh she looks weird please get the speed burst oh no we peeled out it looks like he doesn't have a shirt on and he has like a bib on backwards he looks so funny what is going on right now we're fine sheesh yeah that was close help oh that was awesome this is so fun good job knuckles start getting our little adrift boost yeah that was awesome [Music] foreign [Music] checking out Sonic roboblast 2 car this changes Sonic roboblast 2 into a Mario Kart game yes we have another cool Sonic Mario Kart kind of crossover thing let's do it our name of course is Darby btg cool character let's try Sonic out first and uh will be the color blue wait we could pick what color we want we got blueberry Nova pastel Moon slam ultraviolet dusk bubble gum purple fuchsia toxic this is like the craziest color selection ever all right blue blue is a good color for Sonic all right let's go we got a race let's see if we can get like a speed burst boom oh nope we peeled out oh time to beat one minute and 50 seconds well this is really cool and we can oh yes we can drift and we get items uh we're racing against ghosts because it's a Time attack kind of mode so these aren't real Racers or computer generated Racers like where we can get first place our goal is to beat that 150 up at the top I like the screen help Zone course the control is really solid this is awesome I love this this really get me back into Mario Kart a bit played all these Sonic Mario Kart kind of games oh geez we'll try out all the different characters and all the different levels and uh let me know in the comments who your favorite character is and favorite course this could be a lot of fun oh we got sweet music too it kind of makes me think of sunky though all right here we go [Music] the drift is sweet speed shoes is basically like a super mushroom from Mario Kart over the ramp I bet there's some shortcuts too I'm gonna keep my eye open whoa my eye I have more than one eye but I said keep my eye open for uh shortcuts yeah start drifting early nice whoop oh that was bad probably I think our peel out at the beginning might have cost us a bit absolutely Loop do nothing yeah that's not gonna work all right final lap here we go we gotta beat 150 to uh beat the uh set record I guess there's uh ghost Racers are definitely doing better than me I'm excited to see robotniks in this I love playing as old Mr floopy mustache floopy floppy all right Whoop I'm not getting as much better at this as I go sadly yeah go yep okay 141 oh geez this could be close wow this is cool oh go go go oh that was sloppy at the end but we got it we got 147 out of 150. sweet all right one course down and I'm feeling pretty good about it all right that was fun as heck let's be whoa blue Tails I don't want to be blue Tails Nova Tails looks pretty cool that's kind of orangish looking and now we're gonna move on to dark race let's go time to beat this time ooh do we get the burst of speed nope let's try that again all right the burst of speed is just after two and you start holding it nope there we go I did it I did it all right time to beats 240 this time first the speed's a little hard to pull off but uh seems worth it and it's easy just to restart if you miss it this controls so good this is like really really fun I like Tails a lot it's till it's actual tails all right a little stationery I feel like they could be flapping in the breeze a bit but that's you know that's fine I wonder if you can make your own characters for this like if you can mod this pretty easy I hope I bet we can't oh come on all right that was pretty sloppy 240 is going to be tough to beat but I think we can pull it off let's fly that's a good idea after all we are tails Tails loves flying there's a lot of alternate routes on this one gotta keep our eyes out for shortcuts nice lap two so far so okay I don't think we're doing great but if we get ahead of this ghost racer up here I'd feel like maybe we have a shot they're going really fast though not even out of power boost but you know power boosts won't you win your races necessarily what am I talking about here we go here we go yeah that was pretty good whoa okay could have been worse um speed burst that's a lot of speed first I saw something far to the left over here let's see if we can get over there might regret it oh I'm regretting it a little bit go it's fine extra items I don't think that was worth it if I would have did it smoothly maybe all right final lap we got to be 240 we've been pretty sloppy do keep in mind it's my first time playing we install the items not a great situation I like that was pretty good okay we got about 43 seconds left and all we got to do is win this music is very chill who double burst these bursty boost the drifts are really really fun and satisfying [Music] all right we're gonna try this again for some reason I know it really went bad last time but we're gonna do it oh that was better no item though this time can't really be much faster wow we don't have much time your tail Sneezy we're professionals good job tails that was a fun race I think I like the first course the best so far Green Hill but we have more to do let's keep going next character Knuckles we don't want Nova Knuckles we need some sort of red knuckles cause Knuckles is red bubble gum knuckles look sweet let's be fuchsia Knuckles and Northern districts then that seems cool little city time level this will be fun let's go all right let's get that speed burst first try woohoo I'm a professional yeah this level's sweet all right keep our eyes out whoa whoa whoa for uh secrets that was bad everyone else did that better than me but you know my first time playing I gotta learn these levels I bet we can still get 240. that doesn't sound that hard we'll see you later tails wait oh I see that uh driver going down here a little secrety secret maybe oh yeah oh help help okay that was a little sloppy but I think what I like that route that was cool that might be a shortcut I'm not sure yet this music's so good okay good job nakaroo whoa knuckles that's how you do it okay that's a little sloppy but that's fine we gotta try not to bounce against every single building a little tappy tap some people are really sliding through those smoothly so oh there's something over to the left okay final lap we're taking that shortcut we can pull it off definitely seems like a shorty shortcut yeah see you later so it seems like you always get Speedy shoes on time trials but I assume if you play multiplayer you get items that can hurt each other that would be really fun I gotta find some people to play this with I really really like this okay everything's fine probably hasn't been recommended a few times and I'm glad I'm finally trying it after the uh Mario Kart and Sonic Mania video I was like I wonder if there's any other Mario Kart kind of things I can play and then I remembered that this was a thing and uh now I'm glad I'm finally playing it whoa so we gotta try to get the shortcut after this so it's like kinda right here-ish not sure if I love it but you know oh geez yeah that's kind of tricky was that better I don't know probably not but we're fine sheesh yeah that was close help oh that was awesome this is so fun good job knuckles all right Sonic cart is fantastic I love it here you go indeed as you learn the levels you can kind of prepare for some stuff early and then speed boost speed boost almost okay that was still pretty good I didn't slow down much barely got that one I feel like we were starting to get good at that course towards the end 238 that'll work just fine let's be caramel Robotnik or caramel do you say caramel or caramel I think I say both I don't know let's do it it's far they all seem pretty well designed and not too too hard to pick up pretty quickly this one does seem like it has these little ramps that could throw you off though we got to do this one in two minutes so this might be a shorter course it's about 40 seconds is shorter than a lot of the other ones I think we're all around 240 but I have a bad memory so who knows do we want up or down I don't know lots of routes could be a bad situation could be a good one uh I'm not sure if this is a good way to go hey there we go that guy's just wait that is that me from what I wrecked before it must be me from what I wreck apparently you could jump high in the sky because there's like item boxes all over the place yeah this one seems like one I really need to learn oh I forgot to uh to Skid or uh by Skid of course I mean drift I don't know I could think of drift drift wait wait what's the word all right here we go everything's fine I just need some Speedy shoes okay here we go whoa that was pretty good oh red red boost is better hit that that time hit both of those that time all right final lap I'm trying to do the math to figure out if I possibly can pull this off or not I think it's going to be close if we can pull off some Shenanigans here and there we oh geez help that was sloppy all right we got 20 seconds I'm not feeling super confident right now but it's probably fine wait can we do quicker skids to get I think I felt like I got the red quicker that time I wonder if it's like the one where you wiggle the stick to get a better skid I don't know that seems quicker Maybe go all right 204 is no good all right this could be the time because I feel like I'm doing pretty good but I I'm obviously behind that ghost right there which isn't good oh geez he's gonna catch up for sure go okay I just need to stay up here and then do a little bit of this oh but uh this is a little better that that oh come on oh two minutes exactly we did it all right with that said now we can be Metal Sonic and we want to be some sort of blue color from Metal Sonic teal Metal Sonic looks pretty sweet and we got Daytona Zone let's do it I think we got the speed burst down nope sorry Metal Sonic let's try that again it's just like a split second after two yeah there we go Daytona Zone my friends sweet oh whoa okay that's a shortcut this is cool this feels more Mario karty as far as the levels go for sure [Music] well Daytona action um yeah let's uh let's detone it up let's just beat this in one try this one seems quite a bit harder than some of the other ones so far a lot of quick crazy turns there's a mini map over there but I can almost never really look at it quick enough to figure out what I'm doing okay so 210 uh I think we can pull off I feel like our first slap was pretty good and uh yeah all right let's try this again yeah this one's definitely really fun I'm starting to understand it a little bit better you want to go this way we missed the ramp but that's definitely a shortcut if we could pull that off on the third lap I think we could still pull this off my first slap this time was a little rushed here but that's fine lots of good skids places watch out for the oil spill spots or whatever those are nope I didn't mean to use that actually tap that that's fine it worked out yeah I get some uh the old uh drifting boost I'm gonna said skid again okay oh yeah you could get a good you could get a good drift right there all right I think we got this one easy final lap start getting our little uh drift boost yeah yeah that was awesome all right this game is amazing I love it okay yeah I bet you can make oh geez I bet you can make your own characters in this I don't know how hard it would be but doesn't seem like there's a ton of animations for each character so I feel like you could pull off some Shenanigans yeah oh geez help go we got that was so sloppy I felt like we knew what we were doing for a split second that one was definitely easier as sloppy as I did we still pretty easily beat the uh 210 record up there all right cool good job Metal Sonic egg cup unlocked sweet all right we're back to Sonic which is cool how about bubble gum Sonic let's go time to beat this time 220 and we got the burst of speed first try oh that was a mistake okay that's fine uh I think we got this well this level is really cool sheesh that's a shortcut I think kind of reminds me of the FCO courses and the Mario Kart a little bit Mario Kart 8. wee okay but obviously you know it's very eggy egg Mini this is cool oh man I really want to play some multiplayer now so I can try out what other power-ups and stuff you can pick up definitely been a little sloppy on this one get all those [Music] and I keep I bet you can bump into characters too when you play the normal races these are ghost Racers here so obviously we go through them but I bet well that's not what I meant to do cool we should be totally fine I feel like this one's being generous with time again so out of all these courses so far I'm trying to think of what my favorite one was I have to look back through oh no there's no ground there tag it I've seen a lot of cool power-ups over there too if we still finish this one it's gonna be a miracle all right we might as well try right gives us an easier score to beat next time if we ever try to beat our top score here yeah we got so much time for this third lap I feel like they're pretty generous with this one some of the harder levels they've definitely been pretty generous with the times okay we're gonna do this could that be enough time I don't know we're running pretty low this one's definitely a fun one this seems like a a level that'd be really fun in the actual race this help oh I fell off again no what are the odds of that okay I got 20 seconds to pull this off okay go go go go go go go go go go I'm panicking a little bit which is fine we're bumping into walls we got about 14 seconds oh 12 seconds nope all right that one was a little too easy but that's fine it was a cool level we had the advantage because we had bubble gum Sonic obviously all right we'll switch to Tails and we'll be let's be crocodile Tails Sonic Speedway Zone that sounds cool let's do it all right crocodile Tails we got this yeah we're getting better at that burst of speed at the beginning okay this is this is a cool level already I like it I wonder if they have any Mario Kart levels in this that would be pretty cool I like the little ring Arch we went through that was cool I need to find a secrety secret area so far haven't found one hey that slowed me down a little but that's okay probably we need Speedy shoes Speedy shoes are fun oh that's water oh man where's lack of two when you need it well we tried you know here you go oh geez well that's got a creative a great over I thought that was a giant water pit that was scary all right so mistakes have been made but I think we can catch up here we go oh yeah this is going well probably help feel like that another item box nice okay I always gotta be very careful yes power booster D boom that was pretty good I feel like we're catching up oh that's that's pretty good it's almost like I'm starting to figure out how to play this I probably shouldn't talk too much here we almost wrecked that one scares me we should be fine oh we missed all those but we got the red boost to speed which is a little bit better which might be just as good as getting an item I'm not sure help oh that's not good oh that was not good that was the opposite of good really that's fine we could probably still get this we got plenty of time help okay Speedy shoes oh that was a dump well that could have been worse we got plenty of time I think we got this oh that was not a great move either we got another Tails beating us yep yes okay plenty of time boom good job Tails all right that was a fun one for sure I liked it all right Knuckles gets another shot let's be old vomit knuckles for some reason yeah hilltops there that sounds sweet better have some sweet Hilltop sound music dang it we peeled out again there we go well this is pretty cool [Music] whoa not good all right this one's gonna be hard this one's gonna be hard okay maybe the trick is to miss all the items okay those scare me every time I see you really want to focus on staying in the middle and everything should be all right probably this is cool very hilltoppy too I like this makes me want to play some Sonic too whoa okay pay attention to the arrows that was one lap ooh but it's a minute 50 on this one so it's a short course lots of places to fall off okay pay attention to those little turny turn signs and we should be fine yep here you go good job knuckles go that way yep okay everything's fine probably you know there's some Shortcut action somewhere I didn't see the shortcut on this one yet but I know it's here somewhere that guy's oh that's a shortcut he cut I saw that I saw your little shortcut kind of slowed you down a bit though so I don't know if it was worth taking oh come on all right vomit Knuckles final lap and you missed the dang items that's fine probably you got this probably that was better 30 seconds I think we got this I don't see how we could screw this up at this point yeah that guy's definitely taking some shorty shortcuts that's fine we aren't cool puzzle game if you're unfamiliar with it it's got like Sega Genesis own little Tetris game back in the day whoa this has no edges ah so we can't bounce on walls we gotta be careful and uh we should have this probably 250 this is gonna be a long one so we don't want to screw it up ooh alternate ways to go yikes spikes yikes spikes oh geez this level's not messing around that's fine neither am I whoa that's a speedy boost oh he's doing tricks help well that was awesome yeah this is definitely a cool route what okay I thought I fell off and that was a weird camera okay everything's fine and we're still alive this is a hard course this is definitely like the most advanced course so far kinda like a Bowser's Castle kind of course with all the obstacles and stuff trying to kill me ooh we're gonna have to pick up the pace for sure if we want to beat this one because uh yeah we only have 250 and that took us over a minute to beat one lap uh yeah that's not good it's not good at all okay [Applause] go let's try left this time maybe it's a lot better maybe it's exactly the same who knows okay this way was really cool last time we get to do this cool little trick yeah good job Eggman go yes okay that was definitely a better lap so far I don't know if it made up enough time for us to be able to finish or not but this man this level the more I play it the more I'm really liking it so that was definitely a lot quicker uh by a little bit so let's see if we can pull this off it's gonna be really close we're gonna stay on the map would be nice okay go Eggman go go egg mango yep nice nice nice nice we're going really fast and everything's probably okay okay yes and yes go oh we bumped a wall that's fine go go go oh we gotta pick up the pace we don't have much time go you probably pull this off egg man that was actually pretty good go go go go go 10 seconds I don't know it's gonna be probably not that close honestly but I think we get another go at this and we're gonna have it yeah 251 252 3 4 5. okay yeah I think we got this one that one was tricky but the more we played it I'm starting to get it down we got this egg man all right got about 30 seconds left to make this I didn't skid off that time all right we're at 2 32. this is gonna be really close this is definitely a hard one but it's really fun and the better you get at the more fun this one gets it's a little bit more of a challenge than some of the other races oh it's real close oh cool three seconds to spare almost we did it good job robotic old Eggman McGee all right I think we should do one more race let's do metal Sonic Jaws colored with a z that way you know it's extra cool and we'll do Grand Metropolis if you'd like to see a dark episode of Sonic cart we also have Sunbeam Paradise Diamond squares a midnight Meadow Zone twinkle Kart pleasure Castle Paradise Hill Sub-Zero Peak Zone Sapphire Coast Zone Sand Valley Zone mega block Castle Zone Canyon Rush Zone Casino Resort Zone that looks sweet Silver Cloud Blue Mountain petroleum Refinery Desert Palace Aurora atoll bear in a badlands we got red barrage we got midnight Channel we got vanilla hotel we got toxic Palace ancient tomb Cloud cradle Volcanic Valley oh my gosh we have lots and lots and lots and lots and lots oh we have oh we do have a rainbow road we're gonna finish with grand Metropolis here we go tie time to beats 220 let's go alright so this course took me way longer than I anticipated I'm gonna cut out the boring stuff and show you the final run where I finally beat it all right here we go we can do this probably I've been playing this level for more than I'd really like to ever think about out loud but I have to beat it it's the final level of the video I could just edit the video to where I said the last level is the final level but it wouldn't have made sense because we wanted to play us all the characters twice so yeah I'm a man of my word and I'm gonna beat this dang level it's gonna be awesome I love this part yep that was really good we're definitely getting better at this level I'm starting to know the turns a little better that was a little bit brutal right there but that's fine that's redeems that a little bit we can make it around here without bumping the walls would be nice but nope we need like a really good thing here there we go that wasn't too bad laws were under 110. still very very possible for us to finally beat this [Music] 102 103 104 yeah we got that okay this could definitely be the run where I finally get this one it's a tricky level but it's all these are really satisfying when you start to get better at them makes me want to try racing some other people that you know hopefully aren't freakishly good at the game because you know I'm still pretty new to it but I think playing other people is where this game would really shine racing the ghost is pretty fun too but it's not as fun as real people and I want to try out all the cool items that you can use against each other as well that was a good recovery this one we need to do better let's get the red Sparks Spark's an item boom up the hill all right come on Metal Sonic this could be the run my friends yes that was a good recovery ish don't fall off please it'll be very embarrassing quite rude [Music] yes yep uh-huh and finally oh my gosh that one took me a really long
