in your little adventures and the person who has a taste for thrillers then you must be knowing that the fictional tales often open up with a sailor struggling to survive a terrible weather trying his hardest to battle for life and eventually the climax takes you to a plot where the protagonist is successful in uncovering the treasure well bringing you out of the fictional story and getting to reality this is an incident from Matthew Emmanuel's life who's in his mid-40s he was a resident of Staten Island and he never imagined that after four years of living in the same house he would come across the unexpected in his own backyard and what he found left his head revolving unbelievable Matthew had his jaw dropped he couldn't believe that something like this had been hiding in his back yard under his nose for the last four years and he had absolutely no sense about it it was quite hard to accept that your backyard had been holding a secret of this sort since years what was it not what I thought a manual been seeing this finding right in front of his eyes for a long time but he had always assumed it to be something else and when the final revelation was made he was baffled and left to say we were all fools we never saw this coming he and his family were totally baffled the family Matthew Emmanuel and his family his wife and his teenage son were the residents of taught Hill Staten Island it was about four years that they'd shifted to this location however since then they had no clues that their new property had a secret that would be unraveled in the future in the least expected manner still unexplored just like any other family this family was also excited about stepping into their new house they wanted to accessorize every corner of this house and convert it to their dream home while they explored the entire land a part of their yard remained a little unexplored and it was exactly the spot where the past had been hidden not thought of Emanuel bought this property from its previous landlords and it wasn't an abandoned one so there were hardly any possibilities of coming across any sort of mystery or mysterious objects in the home however when they found one they didn't know whether they were lucky or they were in a mess they were just speechless exciting but well being very practical who doesn't wish to come across a hidden treasure everyone does but it's always the fate that comes in the way well life was going great for the family one day they had to interfere with a rusted box that had been lying along the fence for a long time it was the day when their lives took a sharp turn disgusting one in their yard there was one deeply rusted box it was kept by the side of the fence and was often unnoticed and untouched for long and the prime reason being it was covered with poison ivy and looked disgusting however no one knew that this disgusting box will mark a major change in their lives harsh weather the box would have gone unnoticed for probably many more years to come if that night a major snowfall hadn't affected the region all night its snow did weather was extremely harsh winds blew dat one high speed and many trees near fell the fence over the box next morning wasn't an easy one a mess next morning when it stopped snowing Matthew had a look at his backyard and it was all a mess trees were broken and fallen fence broken and whatnot it all had to be cleared and the backyard demanded a makeover and with this makeover the hidden came forward not nice as the snow cleared and broken a dismantled trees removed that old rusted box came to the front as it was always hidden under poison ivy no one really bothered but now it was visible even from the windows of the house Matthew decided to renovate the backyard and throw away this annoying looking box now what unknown when Matthew decided to get rid of that box he had no clues what was in there but just its appearance made him do so he decided to contact a contractor who would help him out in fixing the backyard and also prevent unwanted animals from going into the art what happened next was astonishing bamboo Bob Matthew had given the task of fixing the back yard to bamboo Bob the contractor the landscaper along with his team fixed the garden they arranged the fence and also aligned a thicket of bamboo that would withstand the weather and then they came across that rusted box what will they do next raising curiosity bamboo Bob and his crew too stumbled upon that rusted box as bob was into this profession since long he couldn't ignore the box as easily as Matthew did it appeared to be buried since long in soil and that's why it rusted however it was quite heavy thus they called the big guns to pick that box and ensure they have a closer look at it something different as the big guns did their work the box was right in front of Bob's eyes he closely looked at the box and was hoping to find something in it however as the box was rusted and very old he didn't have any high expectations but he still wished to try his luck with it you know maybe electric cabinet Matthew told Bob that this box had been there since the day they bought this property and it was always covered with plants there's no point wasting time over this as it's nothing but an electrical cabinet but as the box was cleaned and examined Matthew soon realized that he'd been wrong all the while about it the jamb lock as the box came to surface and Bob inspected it he realized that there was a lock on it and it made it all clear it wasn't a box but a safe matthew was astonished that all the while he'd been wrong to consider it an electric cabinet well it was a safe and now everyone was curious to unlock it acts Matthew couldn't wait any longer his excitement was building up he right away picked up an axe and decides to break the lock as it was all jammed there was no other way to unlock it and he breaks through it cooking possibilities as typical of the human nature Matthew and Bob too were eager to know what was inside Matthew called on his wife and his son to break their illusions about this disgusting looking box and as the lock breaks they were all stunned neither of them had anticipated finding something like this what was in there oh no in the eagerness to uncover the hidden Matthew broke the safe from the wrong side and was feeling bad to see that the bundle of dollars that were in that tore little did he know that those were only a few and there were a lot more in that safe some zippered bags well Matthew was stressing over the torn bundle he forgot about the zip bags that were in there there were some four bags there and what was there in it wasn't yet explored well there was money in the safe maybe Matthew could be lucky enough to find something incredible in these zip bags something more as the safe was locked and since how long no one knew the family took the contents of the safe inside the house and examined them carefully Matthew separates the bills and put them for drying as they were all sticky and wet probably due to moisture and when he began counting them he was like whoa good fortune the bills were amounting to around sixteen thousand three hundred dollars it was a good fortune and not only this nearing around five thousand dollars worthy bills were unfortunately damaged and torn however this wasn't bad at all and as the bags were unzipped Matthew lost his head the findings were too good to be true gold in the bags were gold yep you heard that right it was all real and pure gold jewelry there were some ornaments jade and diamond pieces it surely was a treasure Matthew's wife immediately got a weighing scale to measure how much it weighed and the results were enough to give him a chilling rush through his spine something more the results were shocking the diamonds weighed quite good in all Matthew had laid his hand on great stuff however a twist in the story occurs what amongst those zip bags and jewelry he found a paper as well a paper that changed everything in a microsecond and address the paper that Matthew found had an address written over it he wasn't sure where exactly that place was but he was curious to know why there was a paper with an address kept in a safe was it the address of the person to whom the safe originally belonged or what search online matthew googled the address and as he got hold of the exact place where it was he was taken aback surprisingly the address was just two streets away from his place and right in his neighborhood probably he went past that house many times but he never thought that one day he'll actually have to knock at its doors weird it appeared to be quite weird to Matthew to go and knock on the door of one of his neighbor's and question them about a safe he wasn't even sure if that actually belonged to them or not it was strange to go and ask did you lose a safe a few years ago in my back yard yet he did so knock knock Matthew wanted to know every bit of the story behind this treasure he didn't hesitate and after two days of unlocking the safe he went to that address on April 30th 2018 he knocked at the door with a pounding heart unaware of what would unfold next an old woman an old lady unlocks the door Matthew's never seen her before and thus introduced himself and his reason for turning up at her door he then with utmost sincerity asks the woman had never been robbed before and the response was shocking that Christmas night as the man puts the question to the elderly woman she was terrified she'd never expected a neighbour to turn up like that and ask her something like this however the woman tells Matthew that she was robbed back in the year 2011 and that too on Christmas night Matthew now had a very obvious question to ask what went off Mathieu politely asked the woman what all she was robbed of that night and he was told something he didn't hope the woman told him that the robber ran away with a safe of hers which had around fifty two thousand dollars in money and some gold jewelry this made it all clear ninja burglar the woman further tells Matthew that she wasn't sure but was somewhere like that the robber must have been the infamous ninja burglar named Robert Costanzo who had been recently caught in the Year 2015 in Staten Island under the charge of robbing more than two hundred homes in Connecticut New York and New Jersey unfortunately her safe couldn't be located until now unsolved Matthew then tells the elderly woman about the safe that he's found in his backyard he describes the contents of the safe and also shares that it was the safe only which provided him with her address the old lady couldn't believe her ears and a surprise er Matthew takes her to his home that's that the moment the elderly woman saw the safe and the contents she was amazed to her it was completely unexpected the safe was hers only she couldn't believe that after seven years of losing it she actually gets it back in the most unexpected manner the woman hugged Matthew tight for reuniting her with her lost belongings what next a reward the elderly woman wanted to reward Matthew for the tasks he did the woman was impressed by his generosity after all no one wishes to give away the treasure that had been hunted but the man was so kind that he refused to take anything as a reward and handed over the entire treasure to its rightful owner but there was something more in memory however the lady gives Matthew a ceramic elephant as a reward and Matthew readily accepts it but the beautiful part is that he placed that elephant right at the place from where that safe was dug it was in memory of hunting a treasure that had been hiding
