quenchy Adventure now on to the good stuff in case you missed the last video it's all about our five nights spent on the island of digara on the south AR ATL you can check that out right up here to reach our next Island we left digera at 1:20 p.m. on a speedboat back to Malay and then had about 2 and 1/2 hours hours to kill in a cafe in the park before our 5:00 p.m. speedboat to ghouly which is much shorter maybe 30 to 40 minute ride guys we have just arrived here in ghouly in the Maldives was about a 20 minute speedboat ride from Malay we're going to show you our room here at pearlshine Retreat let's go come on in they had it nice and cool in here the air condition is on which is awesome they gave us a mixed fruit juice welcome drink and carried all of our stuff up which is really nice so here's the space and here is what $61 per night will get you here in gouie on a local island in the MDES we have a nice desk area with a chair got some tea and coffee stuff the AC unit up there a nice TV big mirror a really nice looking bed feels pretty nice and cozy really cool with the decoration Little Crab the welcome we've got a fan as well some beach towels a spot to put some of our luggage mini fridge safe a little balcony here we'll finish there and the bathroom isn't here I'll step by come on in nice tiled bathroom um sink Basin area toilet shower haven't seen a shower curtain yet in the mold but no worries there's enough space and there you go to the balcony we have a nice little private area to look over the street here and sit and relax there you go $34 for for five nights here in the Maldives not bad we were walking and Jeremy says is that a stingray I go no I think it's a black trash bag and then we got closer and realized look how beautiful and big this Stingray and look at its flowy little legs it's fins I mean seriously what a great Welcome to our new island here who would have thought we would see a stingray on the first night night look what we have here a nurse shark wa whoa I love it guys we still opted to take the speedboat to gie because it is fast and convenient but we could have opted to take the ferry that's actually it right there we have some folks leaving right now to go back to the airport it'll take them about 2 and 1/2 hours to get back but that's still not bad it's because it makes stops a lot of the other islands and it's only a [Music] dollar a bit about the island around 900 people live here roughly 1 and a half times the population of digera yet it's even smaller in size maybe a/4 mile long and 7 or 800 ft wide as I said in the last video it's important to know especially if you'd like to stay on a local Island as opposed to the private Resort islands that the Maldives is an Islamic country and there are some local customs and cultural norms to respect there are only certain spots on a beach where bikinis are allowed be mindful and you can always ask people for advice everyone we interacted with was very friendly and most maldivians speak English no problem which is very impressive here there's a tourist bikini beach on the northeast side which is where you'll go snorkeling as well and you can see quite a bit of marine life from here check out the shark swimming around [Music] here [Music] before moving on to to the three excursions we went on here are a few more shots of the nearby private resort island if you're interested we saw there are day trips offered here I think you have a fancy meal the opportunity to drink alcohol unlike on the local islands and I imagine you can walk around some of the property when we looked it up I believe we saw rooms here advertised for somewhere around $4,700 per night that said we're quite content with the value we're getting over here and being on a local Island for us helps us get to know the people in place a bit more which we enjoy time for some excit we're heading out on a private tour to swim with some intimidating yet mostly harmless animals at least no fatal attacks have ever been recorded but first we spotted a pot of dolphins and they let us try to quickly hop in with them which we've never done before Oh My Gosh the Dolphins were pretty quick to continue about their day but still so cool to say hello moving on I was previously referring to nurse sharks we believe the name derived from the sucking sound they make when looking for prey and how it sounds like a nursing animal their powerful suction is like a vac vacuum and they sometimes just swim around hoping to suck in mostly bottom dwelling creatures like crabs shrimp snails and lobsters we were instructed to keep our hands in a fist while swimming with the ner sharks just to make sure none of the fingers got sucked up and try not to flail around too much just enjoy them swimming around us as they eat some of the fish that was tossed in to get their attention this might freak A lot of people out and I get that but it's really an exciting experience to be so close to these beautiful creatures and I definitely recommend giving it a go apparently nurse sharks can grow to around 10 ft I don't think we saw any quite that large but very impressive nonetheless The Stingrays deserve some attention too because they're just so satisfying to watch as they Ripple their body to move through the water and of course some nice colorful fish in the [Music] mix [Music] oh my gosh our hotel was so nice Julio but the funniest thing is it says happy honeymoon how cute is that it's been a few years but oh and does that say love okay oh that's awesome doing some fish gutting and chucking some of the remains into the water here I see two stingrays One n shark and then there was two stingrays over there wo would you look at that two Sharks two stingrays gray two stingrays black time for another tour this one will be most of the day and first up we have more Dolphins out to play they did a few tricks for us and we loved it I think I amazing we're heading south for the island of flyo only around 200 people live here and there are spots you can stand where you can see the ocean on all four sides it's a simple life here and wow is it [Music] beautiful guys that is all fish it looks like a whale shark actually all the way down there it kind of oh I did not know that was about to happen the guides then took us to this tiny remote uninhabited sandbank Island for a picnic lunch a swim and some more stunning tropical [Music] views and our last stop some snorkeling at this table coral reef I could definitely do this day [Music] [Music] again [Music] cheese chicken cot I think I might have to Google that again we have a fried egg with a slice of cheese V on the cot nice what is your name sir my name is Yan how old are you Yan
