Alberts are easily one of the most recognizable beasts in the 5e universe especially ever since Dungeons and Dragons are among Thieves showed an awesome out there winning its peak on red wizard blood and evil henchmen unfortunately the real thing is found dead because our best in TNT 5e are well boring in this video we're going to spice up the outband right you with two new step blocks you can use for the hour bear in your 5e game looking at the outer bass entry in the monster manual our bears are described as ferocious aggressive stubborn and ill-tempered they're large and strong and also Fearless enough to attack creatures that are even larger than themselves the Arabia is also nocturnal like an hour but lives in dense or case like a bear it likes to leave parts of Caracas around its layer to lure in Predators which it'll then eat pretty Savage albeiters are more intelligent than most animals but difficult but not impossible to tame and some cultures including elves Hub companies and Giants may use them as Guardians War beasts and even pits finally it's not quite clear whether our bear originates from with some believing that a wizard created them like a lab experiment while elves and fake that our Bears have existed for Millennia and may be native to the feywild though it has a fierce reputation there really isn't anything Fierce about the Albers stat block like most other beasts in 5e the Alba is basically just a bag of hit points with a big and close the only feature it has is Keen side and smell which is will bear the feature that also means that the Outburst tactic are about a simple asset stat block with no skills or features to speak of all the Outback is going to do is attack attack and then attack them all or potentially run away but probably just attack that also means that the issue with the Outback is pretty clear it is unfortunately not a hood to run as a DM or fight against for the characters tired of the Outback punch yet well that's too bad because I can do this all day long to fix our web it does need to give it more to do in combat while of course still keeping in mind that it is just a beast first we're going to look at a variant out there we make no changes to any of the outbest based statistics we'll keep its AC hit points and ability scores the same the first big change we're going to make is that we'll improve its close attack lowering the damage from 2d8 to 2d6 but allowing the Outback to grab a medium or smaller targets as it sinks its claws into them we're also going to give the Outback two new bonus actions Screech and toss Screech can impose the frightened condition and recharges roughly every third round it only lasts a single round but long enough to have an impact then and I'll admit some inspiration has been taken from the new TNT movie we're going to give the Outback a toss bonus action where it can take a creature at a Scrabble and toss it up to 20 feet and even into another creature this is a fun and Powerful feature that'll allow the Outback a measure of control of the battlefield now even if we have reduced the variant our Bear's close attack it's still a fair bit stronger than its mundane counterpart to balance it a bit we're going to build its ferocity in with the enraged feature when it takes noticeable damage the outbreak is put in a foul mood see what it did there which forces it to move forward and attack the creature that enraged it it does so with advantages on his attacks but there is a huge downside whenever it attacks nearby creatures get an opportunity tag against it with Advantage with this feature ingrained in it we both get the flavor of a ferocious and rage-filled Beast while also making the our best significantly more vulnerable in combat also this version of the Outburst is probably slightly stronger but also a lot more fun and dynamic because making a single outbreaker just wouldn't be fun enough I've also put together and our bear matriarch the mama Albert has more hit points higher AC and higher strange and Constitution to match its higher challenge rating of 5. it's biting close deal a bit more damage and like the variant outbreak it has the ability to grab a foes when it uses its claws it also has a screech and touch bonus actions both of which are better it can touch creatures further than its less powerful counterpart and its Screech has a change to temporarily stack its foes so they'll have to choose between taking an action a bonus action or a move on their turn finally we've given the Matrix an additional action a leap with this leap the Outback jump into other creature spaces dealing damage and knocking them prone also the mama our bear is just a bigger better bowler feather refilly that is sure to give the characters a few rounds of fun combat alright so that's it for the hour pair please let me know what you think in the comments did I do enough or did we just barely scratch the service okay I promised
