[Music] he [Music] 3 modeling is either the one thing that breaks or makes the game or at least I think it is the three dimensional component that you have in your game which consists of two things a mesh that is made out of triangles and textures that is being wrapped around the model itself I am making a 3D game where you're stuck in a room so that room needs Furnitures so my job is to make enough models to make the room feel lived in or else it will look like a prison cell unless that's what I'm trying to achieve but before you even start to make 3om models you should block out your scene both to get scale reference and also placement and to see if there's more you need for the room so this was how this scene started out and this is how it looks now H the pipeline of making one 3D model consists of using a 3D modeling software to model out the shape of your object then you UV unwrapped the model meaning that you can fold it out as flat as paper so you can draw in it using textures and then at the end the textures will get wrapped around the model creating the final look and then you do this over and over again for each model until you have everything you need in the scene and this is why I am rushing this process a little a little bit since I'm running on a short time period but here you can see my general process so what we have in a scene already is a carpet we have a CRT TV we have a TV table and we also have the room itself which needs to be reworked but that's being saved for later and what I think needs to be made right now is a bed some power outlets and also a lamp so let's start first I start by matching the blockout shape then I find some images that I can use as a reference for my modeling and then I just have at it work [Music] hard so I was just about to do some texturing but I thought that I would just put it into the game to see how it looks looks and how much of the mattress and the pillow can you actually see nothing this is very bad and very unoptimal a lot of triangles are now being rendered underneath the blanket and you can't even see them so let's just remove the mattress and the pillow and redo the blanket itself so this is how the bed ended up so now we can start texturing [Music] it [Music] so this is how the bed turned out I got to say I'm pretty happy it was really hard to make the blankets seem soft and all but I think I achieved it good enough and this is how the bed looks when it's in the game it's in the game and now we repeat the entire process for all of the other models we [Music] need [Music] [Music] so this is how the models turned out this this is how you see them from the perspective of the player it really adds to the atmosphere I think the room is far from finished but a lot of things missing but I won't be covering that in this video so that's about it for this video the next thing I want to work on is pixel art for the game that's being played on the crtv so that's going to be exciting to cover in the next episode thank you so much for watching I hope you enjoyed and if you're excited for this project I hope you can like the video maybe you want to subscribe and you can also ring that notification Bell if that's so pleases you so that's heny out goodbye
