MAKING 250'000 CATS - Kenshi: Ep. #16 - Nathan's Story

hello everyone my name is Nathan and today it's time for another episode of Kenji unfortunately I'm very very sick today so I'm not sure for how long I'm gonna be able to record or maybe I'm just going to skip a day and records tomorrow again but instead of complaining let's get this started right away I've actually come back with my I've actually come back with my group as you can see and things right here have been going very smoothly we have plenty of things to sell again which is good because I spent all of my money in the previous episode so I think one of the first things I'm going to do is I'm going to grab Mickey though it's not necessarily Mickey anymore maybe we're just gonna do it with Nathan at the moment he's aimless though right now we have the technology to continue researching I brought all of the ancient science books and the two engineering researchers to my research bench and now we can choose something new like automatic flower grinding or hashish production would be nice though this requires engineering research here the hashish production not sure I want to waste it for that ah advanced weapon grates that's definitely something I want only one ancient science book that's gonna be worth it and maybe advanced splink it so we can craft it ourselves what do you think yeah it's just one more science book ooh tech level 5 I'm actually really intrigued what if we unlocked the outpost with our engineering research like we should be getting new buildings that could be worth it and then tech level 5 how many books do we still have if I spent eight books I still have seven books left I think that's gonna be worth it we're gonna do outpost type three let me quickly check one more time just to see whether or not there's something I desperately want oh harpoon turrets mark - I definitely want that only requires science books yeah I think it's settled we're gonna spend the engineering research on the outpost type-3 cool and then I also want to unlock tech level five but the harpoon turrets I want those ooh they have spotlights the harpoons with normal books we can unlock that I'm gonna do that and advanced harpoon Ori I actually got the blueprint here so we don't even have to spend the ancient science book on the advanced harpoon arre I can just learn this blueprint after we've unlocked the harpoon turrets mark 2 so I will have to test that lets actually unpause the game Nathan should be going and do that research I also had to install a light right here as you can see because it was actually affecting the speed of the research do we have some oh we actually had some attackers just a random bandit squad let's maybe open up the gate so people can take care of them there we go putting them into the incinerator in between the episodes I also upgraded all of the fields they should not be all at the maximum size food-wise were also doing fantastically we have stuff in here Brett is always empty that's because they always go for that first but bounty and Alec always refilled the animal feeder we already unlocked a couple of things I should be able to make better weapons now let me see what did I do I had a paladin cross Katoon number one I believe so this is now gonna be even better pretty cool hold on there is a severed human arm animals as Kali you can take that Oh hold on we actually already unlocked the new buildings didn't we yeah look at that what do we have now the watched note we already have that ah there we go so now we get these types of buildings that is actually pretty cool but we need the copper alloy plates for that so that's something I will have to unlock still yeah not really sure if that was worth to engineering research but I take it however to really make use of that we would have to unlock something else or do I have it the copper alloy plates now there we go we need another engineering research for that okay and we also get outpost type 4 for another two well let's wait for the upgraded harpoons and let's see what we get with the new tech level this might make things more interesting oh yeah one thing I almost totally forgot about let me actually grab one of our robots where do we are out to avoid of course ekeus please come inside of the tower because of course we brought home our spider robots maybe they're gonna let themselves convert a little bit quicker if we do it with a robot so I'm bringing a cos but there you go hellooo can we talk to you please the light inside has broken but I still work replace light you okay that did not work I know it didn't work okay so contrary to humanoids the animals are pretty easy to convince so that means I can set the spider free there we go and it is now my security spider so please come here oh my gosh this is amazing let's do it with the other spider as well hellooo replace light and you belong to me amazing let's move these guys to our animal squat but I guess I'm gonna end up having even more squats I mean if we want more people this needs to be over viewers still but here we go guys our two security spiders maybe I'll have to have a look into the files in order to be able to change their names that is unfortunate if somebody knows how I can do that to let me know I mean those things are much better than animals because well they do not eat food and they still have space for a backpack which is incredible yeah Hudson is still working on the letter turtlenecks and then we have a few more things to craft I think I don't even need that anymore but I need the other things especially for snow snow isn't well-equipped yet why do you have so much letter with you wait wait wait of course you're also a leather worker totally forgot about that now I wonder you should also make other stuff like the armor plating and the chainmail sheets so maybe maybe maybe I'm going to put that up here so we are gonna do some plate beating and then I want some chainmail sheets I think for the time being we have enough leather the rates seem to be broken at the moment if we have a look out here you can see there are quite a bunch of people but they are just standing still I wonder if I have to lure them let's maybe open up the gate and see if we can fight them in this night hello boots boots boots boots boots let me grab someone maybe rusty rusty would be fast come on rusty we're gonna try to learn these guys over yeah look at that they are truly not entered now they're interested okay Lu come come come come come oh my gosh what is happening now the caravan is all so attacking I had no idea this was gonna happen let me close the gate again and they shall hopefully come or maybe get wiped out even you know it looks like the band of bones is gonna win of course they are also quite high in numbers but there are a lot of green numbers too well thank you Caravan I'm taking that I mean after all the current groups are also larger I tell you these high vers don't mess with them they're crazy we need to get an army of Huibers apparently but I guess that's just what happens if you have to fight one big thing after another yeah looks like they took care of the situation so we're gonna open up the gate again maybe some of my guys can clean this mess up research tech a level 5 is completed that is amazing let's see what we have new on the list actually maybe we first have to upgrade this with 5 arm plates that's pretty easy and now we are definitely in combat again and there we go it was just a lonely band off bones guy he probably got away there but yeah what we have to do is upgrade this bench and just to be sure I'm gonna quick save this before I hit this upgrade button so we don't lose anything just in case we would be losing things hey well a research bench is done level 5 now of course we have a whole bunch of new things that we can unlock maybe in the electricity category though at the moment we're not struggling with electricity but you can see lots of new things here the hydroponics that is pretty good but we need AI course arm plates level 4 might be worth it we don't need more water what do we have here ah I want that khatoun number 3 or maybe just upgrade the weapon Smith building yeah we want to upgrade that and more advanced weapons cool now we just have one single book left so that's gonna be it for the time being harpoon turrets mark 2 yes can I now upgrade you upgrade indeed with 3 on plates and one copper we can actually totally afford that you get all new fresh turrets I think Mohammed is also an engineer in real life at the moment this guy only got 7 engineering so not extreme but look at this perception and the turret skill just Pro mounting this turret for a while we already got the next upgrade for the harpoons which is the light so I'm gonna install that as well before the next night it's gonna take a little bit more power Oh Hudson is sitting around that is not good let me check out my warriors do we all have the paladin's cross no large still needs one so crafting weaponsmith paladins cross can we do that though we are researching weapons myth at the moment maybe we can make a better one so we should make more of these lettered turtlenecks for the time being to keep Hudson busy what about food ooh we are going down again that is because the majority of my people are here now actually all of my people are here at the moment what are these groups doing here they're just accumulating somehow maybe their leader died and now they don't know what to do snow is now actually doing the chainmail sheets which is perfect that means the armor plating is full and we might be able to add some chainmail shirts for our tanks is it just the standard chainmail I wonder oh holy cow I'm actually already crafting a bunch of them did I just click that now I think I already had that ah plenty of new armor to distribute let's actually quickly do that we're probably also gonna give at the DPS our samurai helmets because they are not touching necessarily or using the crossbows well I can equip the rest of my guys off-camera I don't necessarily want to put you through that we actually unlock the weapon smithing which I believe hold the phone is it here yes and we can upgrade it with a 15 arm plate we should have that actually let me make sure I'm played sometimes I don't have enough off no we got this chest full no problem let's actually also use Bobo to go over here Bobo should be more or less empty and we're gonna take the alcohol we already have 25 rum thank you then we have 6 sake and 25 grog beautiful we also got some cloths to sell and last but not least yep there is plenty of armor I actually want to get rid of oh yeah this is gonna give us plenty of money again we shouldn't be worried about that at all oh I actually wondered don't I already have the for the security spiders I think I do in here Robo pack that might be it right so come on open that up and Robo pack opened back well it's not too big maybe it does stack a little bit so nothing Opie in terms of backspace Hudson is almost done with the lettered turtlenecks next he's gonna take care of the chain mail so I'm looking forward to that and I'm gonna meet you right back when that is done all right guys we are back I took all of the pack animals that have something worth selling that I have too much of it's partially loot it's partially what I crafted but it's gonna sell for quite a bit I would assume so let's start right here while there's still night time we have to do it in the bar and I actually also want to purchase that food afterwards but at the moment we're starting with practically zero so let's see what we got some CPU units and the shopkeeper cannot afford it so I guess we have to go with something a little bit cheaper to begin with it is soondae time so we can check out the other vendors as well come on Open Sesame finally show me what you've got 19,000 that is by far not enough my friend but you can take a bunch of my CPU units and some more building materials we got the general goods which have 15,000 holy cow you guys do not help me out right now well there we go you can also take No you take nothing else and it's pretty devastating so far ah the weapons guy he's gotta have some more money all right 25k that is actually not too bad to begin with a beasty you can probably sell the rest of your stuff then we're gonna go through bully with all of the fuel ok armor guy you're the last vendor another 25k it's gonna be hours booly booly booly booly booly booly booly booly a c'mon ok squid is not gonna help us out any further maybe we should go over here though I'm not sure how big they are I think we're gonna go to stack I should have done that in the beginning but there we go some were travelling we sold for 90 K thus far let's see how high we can get today I also very briefly want to check the village maybe they have something nice I want more of these lanterns especially they're pretty for YouTube so you can actually see the characters better during the night okay another 25 K in this village it's gonna be hours left them with 44 cats in the second shop they have another 25k thank you very much take all of that left them with 59 cats let's continue we have arrived in stack I suspect this is gonna be the last town we need to visit we're also gonna purchase some food afterwards but I want to see how much I could sell my loot and production for you take the Power Core you can actually not afford a lot so maybe some more fuel some of those left him with 34 cats and this guy I left with 51 cats SIA the holy boot trader are left with 66 cats another barman left with only 94 cats SIA trinkets vendor mm-hmm-hmm and take also a couple of these teeth here I actually left this one with zero cats see ya hellooo what have you got well now you have one cat good luck the clothing trader now got 28 cats have a good one there we go next vendor I left with seven cats have a good day sir man I don't believe it only one vendor left this is gonna get us nowhere 19 cats for this guy left I basically left the city with nothing poor bastards what is this I might be getting some more from here but looks as though we have to check yet another city ooh bandit attack that is intriguing maybe we should attack these guys I want to do a quick safe just in case the people of the city don't like that but a little bit of training cannot hurt you know just to spice things up in between the selling and can we actually tell attack all that would be better yeah that's what I'm talking about Nathan is helping out don't hit the wrong guys good I would say these bandits were pretty stupid let's move on okay looks like we can only get a little bit more money from this guy not to much unfortunately yep 17 cats now I got all the cats from this city let's move on to the next one which is probably gonna be bad teeth so I wonder maybe I can just take Bobo with me because Bobo has got all the rest of the loot and pocky bully and beasty they could make their way back home Nathan and Bobo are gonna check out bad teeth to sell the rest whoops I forgot night outside of the gates that is of course and not optimal well it's his own fault actually or maybe not we had another bandit group I didn't even realize we have arrived in bad teeth let's check our final number just give me a second to sell the rest there we go we have the final number I sold everything I wanted to sell at least I believe so and now we have two hundred and sixty four thousand cats but yeah I would say with that out of the way I'm actually gonna wrap it up I'm gonna purchase some more food here some supplies and then I'm gonna make my way back hopefully we will have to change shirts crafted very soon I believe Hobson should at least be done with one so let's check that out change shirts and new but we got a lot of turtlenecks so it looks like they still will
