Makeup Haul I Drugstore and High End I Plus Mini Reviews

[Music] hey guys it's abby from make life for runway and today i'm here with a collective makeup haul so i was doing a no buy for the first part of this year my goal is to get to six months but i only made it to about four months and i would say ever since then i've been very like under control with my makeup buying so this has been since may june and july so this is about three months of makeup buying or of just picking up things here and there and some in sephora some is ulta but mostly oh and some target but a lot of it is from um cvs because i've been doing a lot of like cbs couponing and that kind of stuff i use it all i can do little many reviews as we go through but if you're curious to see what makeup i have picked up post no buy then just keep watching here we go okay let's grab and go with no particular order i've been using a lot of this uh pretty frequently i've used everything at least one time so the first thing i had to pick up was the maybelline sky high this uh mascara has been legendary on tick tock and um instagram so i had to get it and mine is in black and i do really like it so the wand is like super bendy but i do find it to be very volumizing easy to wear it still separates my lashes and it looks really nice so i do personally like this a lot i know uh some people are like ah the hype wasn't there for me but for me it's been really good the next thing i got is the elf rider dye lip balm and mighty mighty mint so these come in a few different like flavors i guess you can say like i believe there's like a mango one and maybe one that doesn't have a scent but this is actually so it's a lip balm but it's very thick almost like a lip mask and i find it nice it stays on the lips for a pretty long time you know for a lip mom and it says it's a hundred percent vegan and cruelty free i really like this this kind of reminds me of the laneige lip mask just with how thick they are and how you could still use those as a bomb like texture wise it's a very similar to that and what i like about it is i put it on as i'm doing my makeup my time i'm done with my makeup it you know it's just as applied as when i put it on just as thick i don't know how to explain it but this is nice it's affordable it's easy to get your hands on and i love it i think i will definitely repurchase whenever that one's done there's so much product especially with how thick it is that like it's probably gonna last a long time especially if you're rotating it with other items all right so i have been back into pressed setting powders and so many have come out at the last few months that i just had to try them all and not all of them are brand new but while i was trying new ones i was like well let me try something that i had never tried so the first one you know trending is the l'oreal infallible freshware and mine is in 1 20 vanilla here's the l'oreal infallible and mine's in 120 vanilla i really like this this is a pressed foundation and here's what it looks like it has like a cute little diamond design on the inside okay l'oreal going that extra mile for us um i like this this is good i really like the um make up for ever matte velvet foundation i wouldn't say this is a dupe but it's very comparable and how it performs it's not as buttery and like luscious as that powder but as far as like full coverage easy to use wears all day other makeup applies well on top of it you can use it on its own and it has beautiful coverage you can use it to set other makeups like in those terms like so good i really like this this is a little bit pricey i guess really all three of these are but if you do not coupon at cvs you need to get those 40 coupons that they send you stack them on some deals i paid i think like seven dollars for this which is like half the price of what it is so i i love this i think it's so good and um it really inspired me to keep trying these other ones because i was like okay drugstore like you're out here doing some stuff for us and we appreciate it so covergirl recently came out with the covergirl outlast xtreme wear pressed powders so this one also claims to be full coverage and mine is in classic ivory which i tend to be in classic ivory for all of their makeup um i did on my instagram at make life your runway 1 underscore a wear test where i wore this on one side of my face all day and i wore this on the other side of my face all day and i will say this this is more so it says pressed powder um but it gets confusing because it says full coverage this is more so like a setting powder you can get away with wearing it on its own but it's just definitely not as full coverage it's not going to cover as much i think it really shines being something to set your makeup or maybe more so of a finishing powder but it's nice i like it again it's another pretty pricey um powder from the drugstore but get this tv on cbs see y'all coupons and i think i again paid like six or seven dollars oh my gosh i forgot i have that l'oreal one let me go get it i forgot i have this one too the l'oreal age perfect creamy powder foundation mine is in ivory this was more so trending when was that like the beginning of the year um i do like this a lot it's a pretty powder but similar to this the um covergirl one it's not great on its own it actually feels kind of cakey on its own i've tried using it just over primer and then doing just like a normal full face of makeup on top of it um but where i find it does its best is to set up like a foundation and what i'm wearing today actually is this is a repurchase i've repurchased this so many times the l'oreal infallible pro glow 202 is typically the shade that's best for me i love this foundation so much i love that it's affordable i love that it's a great color match for me but what i love most about it is it absorbs into my skin very quickly so it's very quick to apply um it's glowy and it wears well for hours upon hours upon hours so i've been doing this as my foundation and then going in with this l'oreal age perfect which is what i did today to set it and i have on some other glowy products but i like that this allows the glow from the l'oreal pro glow this is obviously highlighter but you can see kind of right here um it allows it to shine through and i really like the combo i haven't tried this so much with other foundations so i'm sure it's just as nice but i think this absorbs so quickly into the skin that it's not very tacky these just end up being like a beautiful combo especially if you're doing quick makeup which is typically what i'm doing um and then this one is not new but i was like well we've got we've come this far this is the maybelline super safe full coverage complete foundation i haven't spent as much time with this i don't think i've tried this on its own yet i don't remember if i did i could have um again 120 classic ivory um here's what it looks like on the inside so i definitely need to spend more time with this product i know i've used it as a setting powder and if you're wearing like a super tacky foundation this is gonna struggle to set it so that's what all i really have to say about this at this point in time but yeah i've been i've been going wild i've been going wild with these and i i don't think i'm over it if i saw another press powder i'd probably try it out too especially if i had my coupons with me come on now come on now all right so let's go into some complexion products so here's where we get a little bit high end and then the rest is um drugstore okay we have one we'll just talk about this now this is bareminerals well rested this is an old school item that i've heard talked about so often that i finally was just like let me pay the 23 dollars and see what the hype is about and i think it is very brightening so i've tried this as like to set concealer and that was a cakey mess but if you use this as an as an actual concealer which i believe is like what it's well it says eye brightener but i don't know in my experience it gets very cakey to put over normal concealer but if you do it on its own um so like do a primer put this under your eyes and then do the rest of your makeup like i'll still do like a liquid foundation it is so brightening like every time i look in the mirror when i have this on i'm like she looks like a supermodel and it's still like a little cakey without it because i think it's just like a thick powder but the brightening effects of it i think outweigh it and i just i'm really happy to have it now these two products are the last high-end and then the rest are drugstore so i got this from sephora the same trip that i got this from bareminerals so this is sephora's trio face glam palette and gleam so they have a few options and this was uh the one that i thought would look best with my skin tones so you have this really pretty like pink almost like a peach uh blush and then you have these highlighters and i have used this as you can probably see but it is so pretty and has great payoff as far as color goes and i'm really happy with the selection uh i should say the palette that i got so there's the blush and the two highlighters very appropriate for my skin tone it looks really pretty it wears well and the highlighters are blinding so i like sephora collection everything i've tried i've tried their lip creams i've tried um bronzer what else have i tried i've tried a few things from them and i like everything that i've gotten i even have a sample here well i'm gonna lift the camera a second sorry sorry okay we're good um i really wanted to get this foundation which i ended up getting a sample of it's the sephora collection best skin ever let me know if you've tried it it's 20 but i had trouble picking my correct shade in store so i just didn't end up getting it but they do have a lot of options but i ended up getting a sample in my bag when i made i went in store for this and so i'm gonna try this 10 10 in and see if that's a good color match for me so i'm excited i've heard good things about this i just haven't tried it out all right i had to get a wipe so i don't have makeup fingers the rest of the video um this was one that was on sale at ulta on their website and i just could not pass it up it is the mac hyper real glow and this was really popular like i feel like a couple of years ago at this point but i've heard so much hype and as i continue to watch makeup declutters and makeup collections and just those type of videos or shop my stash this is always a product that people like hold on to they never want to get rid of it so i was like you know what that means i need it in my life and again with this palette they have a few different shade options but this is the one that i felt was best for my skin tone so here are the colors just as a finger swatch and then again another very blinding palette and it's kind of like as terra baby says baked gillette baked chile gillette i don't know i feel like everything she buys is baked chili chili i don't know it's a beautiful beautiful formula and i really like it a lot and i think these colors are a good um match especially if you are similar to my skin color and you're just looking for some options for you this one's called get lit and then it does actually have shade names for the three the three highlighters in there so it is like a dream get lit and gleam sheen so pretty super pretty i've been definitely into uh drugstore makeup unless higher end is on sale i just pretty much like right now in this moment don't want to pay full price for uh more like expensive high-end makeup i still love it i just don't want to pay for it so unless it's on sale i don't want it at least you know we have seasons with makeup that's the season i'm in currently all right and then we have a few face products that are for uh from the drugstore and these are like again classics i had to pick up the revlon skin light prismatic highlighter and this one is in two zero one day break glimmer i again and people's declutters people shop my stashes people's favorite videos this still continues to be such a hyped up product um so i picked it up and this one is out of stock a lot around where i live so i don't know if they don't stock it a lot or if it's just that popular that it's always being purchased then i got the bronzer the prismatic bronzer from the revlon skin light and this one is in 110 sunlit glow and again i think this is stunning this is definitely one of those products like you cannot over apply and that's in my opinion the best for bronzers so it does have like a little bit of a sheen to it so it's gonna make your face look a little bit more dimensional um like as you just naturally move through the day and the sun hits it so pretty but i like that it applies lightly so you can really build it up to your preference so those two are great and they have a couple of colors in each of them if your skin tone is darker than mine i am like years late to this but this is the la girl just blushing blush and mine is in just playful i cannot believe i slept on this for so long this is so pretty i wore it last week for the first time and it was just absolutely stunning it wore well it was easy to apply um not super pigmented i feel like blushes and bronzers uh in particular it's better to have ones that are like buildable because a lot of times the really pigmented ones once they're on they're like on and it's hard to work with them from there this one is also years old but with my cvs couponing sometimes i have to hit a certain dollar amount to use a coupon so then i'll go for like what's the cheapest and so we got the maybelline fit me and this one is in pink rose again a classic um i don't really see people talk about these too much but i really enjoyed it i think the color is really pretty and i would definitely purchase more of these if i was trying to you know continue to hit a dollar amount for my coupon okay all right oh i have two more mascaras to talk about i have the maybelline colossal cat eyes i've never tried this before um obviously it's in the package so i'm excited look at that look at that brush like that that looks intense so we'll see when we get to it i have been using this one the flower lash warrior i accidentally got it in brown but it's what i'm using today and i think it's really pretty it does a good job of lengthening and separating um the formula is very dry like at first i thought i had like a bad one because like not very much formula comes off of it but it does a good job of separating out the lashes so i do enjoy this um these two i've opened within the last month so it'll be a couple months before i'll try this maybelline but i'll definitely report back on that one and then we'll just have a few more products left not very many we're down to the last four so as far as primers go this milani melania has come out with so much that i'm just like intrigued by all of it but this is the milani bright side illuminating primer and i like this one so much it really is illuminating and it does come through on your foundations it says it has a vitamin c and pro vitamin b5 i don't know about all of that or how much of that is in there so i haven't noticed like any skin care benefits or anything like that but it did wear well on my face and i've used it a few times i had to get this one because of the hype the nyx marshmallow primer like oh my gosh i feel like the hype of it has died down a little bit um but i just had to try it out nyx is so expensive like my husband had purchased these few products uh for me the ones that i'm talking about like keep off this one and kind of forget because it was a couple of months ago but i know this was one of the things so i was kind of like okay with it being a little bit extra but uh it's like 18 you can buy a smaller size on ulta's website but it's nice it's okay like it has a fun scent to it um it's a little bit of a thicker um formula but it blends out really nicely and i don't think there's anything like special about it but it's nice like it's definitely a nice product um and then i had to try the milani supercharged brightening under eye tent this one is in 110 pink rose i have used this a few times i don't know why i get super hyped about brightening products and then when i purchase them i like don't really know how to work them into my routine this just has like a little like you squeeze it out so what i do i've kind of done two ways i will tap it down and then put concealer on top of it another way i've tried it is i will put it down and then take my k my foundation over it but maybe not like in this area and then i'll set everything and then not use like uh concealer on top of that so i've just been playing with different ways to do it i guess i could try it on top of concealer but that probably wouldn't make much sense so i don't know i'm still playing with it but it is a nice product and then juicy jazz jasmine finally got me she talks about this elf halo powder all the time so i finally went ahead and tried it this one is in light so it's a loose setting powder what i like about this is i have dry skin so i tend to spend a lot of time making it glowy and illuminating and oftentimes by the point you get to loose setting powder it's like matted most of it down so it's nice that products like this exists that you can still set everything but it still provides a glow so that all your glowing efforts are not lost um this is nice i haven't used it consistently enough to see how i feel about it i immediately didn't love it as much as she loves it but i don't dislike it either i think i just need to play with it a little bit more and kind of wrap my mind around how i feel about it oh i got one more mascara i forgot it's sitting right here this is the maybelline lash discovery this is a mini brush mascara so this is nice to use um under your like for your under lashes your bottom lashes you know these guys right here and so it has like just this super tiny brush if you've been watching youtube since like 2013 2014 do you remember how mac giga black was popular for this but also that little clinique um mascara do they still make that i'm sure they do but no one talks about it like they used to it kind of reminds me of that as far as the brush and the clinique one might have been even smaller but it is easy to like get in there and um define your lower lashes so i like it and i have used it on my upper lashes and it looks just as nice too so this is a nice product to have on hand but that is everything that i picked up over the last couple of months and um oh wait there's more i forgot about this this is a repurchase this is l'oreal single eye shadow color rich and this one is in 207 this is a really nice taupe color i have had it in the past but it got old and went bad but i was playing with my cvs coupons i wasn't sure which if i could apply all the ones that i had for l'oreal if it would just use one of them so i took a risk and it didn't use all of them but i still got like a pretty good deal on it it was six dollars and thirty cents no 650 full price and i was hoping that my two three dollar offs from l'oreal would work but it only took one of them so i thought i would get it for 50 cents but i got it for 350 and i think that's fine i do really like this single eye shadow it's definitely like a one and done shadow which is nice to have but okay yeah that's everything that i've purchased since my no buy ended so when did that end into may june i think the beginning of may is when i stopped it and i was trying to go until the end of june so this is may june july three months of makeup so i feel like it's not bad like if you were to go back to like four three four years ago on my channel like this would have been what i got in like a month so i think like we're doing well and a lot of this i get on like super super like cheap because of those coupons and sales and all of that that's probably another reason i'm not really into the the super high end makeup because i'm like i could wheel and deal down the street at cbs and get some good stuff for like three dollars i don't know i don't know maybe can you really or you're probably like abby
