go to the mixamo website and search for walk animation check in place and choose a character or upload your own import them into blender go to the graph editor and set the keyframes to cyclic now they are forced to walk forever select the mesh of the character and join them into one object duplicate your characters and offset the animation to get some variation select all of the rigs and put them into one collection and also create a collection for the meshes only add in a plane and add a new geometry node setup at a distribute points on faces node and a instances of points note and choose your character collection as the instance set it to original and choose pick instances you can also use a random value for the scale of the characters add keyframes to your object now they are working let's say you have an uneven ground they are supposed to work on use a set position node and a raycast then use a object info and select your ground use it as a Target geometry and plug the hit position into the set position note make sure your plane is always above the ground now they will follow the shape of the ground you can put them in any formation you want you could also use the same technique to create crowds for your scenes there you go we created the Army in under 2 minutes foreign
