Louet Jane and Weaving with TempoTreadle

this is tempo trettel on the Lua janeline the Louet chain loom is a really nice table loom I love weaving on it and it's especially nice to weave on it with tempo trettel I've previously loaded my weaving design into the tempo treadle system unit and I'm the system unit is following along with me as I weave so right now if you can see the screen you'll notice that I'm supposed to throw a pic of red with levers 1 and 5 when you heard the little beat put that beat meant was I had successfully press the levers that were called for in the design so I'm safe to throw my pick and move on so now it wants 1 2 4 5 6 8 I hear the little pick again throw my pick now it wants to 6 so you just keep weaving it's a very nice experience and you know you're not going to inadvertently throw the wrong lever because you're listening for that okay signal before each one so that's the way that tempo treadle works in table loom mode so let's talk a little bit about how this gets set up on the Louet Jane it's extremely easy it comes pre-configured and preset so there's no alignment needed there is a sensor ray here that if you see these little Clips we've clipped the sensor array to the back plane where the on the Louet where the trip the levers attached so you just clip it on and there's a little ribbon cable that you place up under the shelf that runs up to the display unit the color touchscreen if you ever want to take it off like when you're working and threading the loom it's very easy to do just just take the clips off and pull it off so it's that easy to take on and off so on the the tempo treadle if you've heard of it before you may know that it also works for floor looms with treadles so they actually the same system unit the same software can be used and moved from loom to loom you just need a different sensor array for every room the tube that you leave on and it truly is a you device not only does the track along as you weave and keep you from making an you're weaving mistakes it also does other things for you like it helps you calculate your length woven keeps up with pick counters interval counters you can have it alert you on color beeps it's very full-featured we're also currently working on a threading helper that will be coming out soon as well so check out more about tempo treadle and also the Louet chain loom on lofty fiber comm
