Lost Ark Abyssal Dungeon Guide | How to Beat Demon Beast Canyon And Get Your Gear Set!

what's going on guys vulcan here and today we're talking about one of my favorite pieces of in-game content in lost ark and those are abyss dungeons so these features some really well done encounters that slowly kind of teach you everything you need to know now each mechanic is a lesson to be learned and will require more and more coordination the deeper you get and they're designed this way that way you're prepared for legion raids later on so as you go through all of these different boss battles each one is going to introduce a new mechanic or the same mechanic with a different window dressing that way you learn how to recognize each one and perform the right action to survive it and that is where this guide series comes into play i'm gonna go through and break down all of the different abyss dungeons the bosses you're going to see and a lot of the wipe mechanics or key mechanics that you need to understand in order to survive so we're gonna kick things off with the very first abyss dungeon that you get access to and that is demon beast canyon so demon beast canyon features two bosses corrupted vesula and scar krill now corrupted vessula is the one we'll talk about first because this is the very first boss that you get to meet in an abyss dungeon setting now this boss is very much designed just to get your feet wet the boss is going to use large aoe attacks it's very slow moving and it'll occasionally roll towards players so there's a lot of stuff you're going to see on the screen but because it happens so slowly it's actually really easy to dodge and it's one of the easiest fights in abyss dungeons to begin with there is one mechanic that you need to watch out for and those are blood puddles so occasionally vizula is going to target a player with a circular aoe this is going to drop a blood puddle on the ground now any members in this puddle are going to take a large chunk of damage each second so you want to make sure to obviously not stand in it but you also want to be cognizant of where you drop it at you don't want to drop it in the middle of the arena so if you become a targeted player make sure to drop it on the edge of the arena that way it's out of the way now these blood puddles are going to stick around until you stagger the boss at that point he's going to suck them all back in and they're going to be cleared out of the arena he will rinse and repeat this a few times so just be sure to place them strategically instead of just letting them fall wherever they fall besides that mechanic this one really doesn't have any other mechanics that you need to watch out for really just stay out of the red stuff and don't die and that brings us to our next boss scar krill who's the final boss of this dungeon so the last boss vizula was pretty much a cake walk when it came to mechanics but scar krill is a little bit tougher and does introduce some new things to watch out for so the first one is to keep an eye on his hook pulls so scar krill will send out a hook that will knock you back and interrupt whatever you're doing and the further you are away from the boss the more likely he is to send it in your direction so just keep in mind that if you want to put some space between yourself and the boss because you need to heal up just know you could see a hook coming your way now the other two are core mechanics leaching circles and stealth mode so for leaching circles each player will have a circular aoe placed on them that will trigger a few seconds later this is similar to the blood puddle drop and if you get caught in one of those circles it's going to deal high amounts of damage now we've seen this mechanic before in other games and the solution is always the same split up and don't drop your circle on other party members everyone just maintain a distance until they drop off and you'll be good then we have the core mechanic kind of the main identity of scar krill and that's stealth mode so the boss will enter stealth mode about a minute into the fight and during this he's going to teleport to different members and perform a spin attack now if you get hit with the spin attack it's going to knock you into the air and stagger you so to break him from this you actually need to stand near the orbs which will spawn alongside the edge of the arena and when he does his spin attack make sure he hits an orb which will cause that orb to explode and stagger him ending his stealth mode and leading to a dps phase and that's pretty much it just rinse repeat and you can do that all the way to victory now one thing i will say is if you have higher item level members in your party that have very high amounts of dps for instance i was able to go back and do it when i was 550 on my sorceress and we didn't even get to stealth mode because we killed him too quickly so that is a possibility as well so if you don't see stealth mode that most likely is why you're killing him a little too fast now that is it everybody that is your first abyssal dungeon and you completed it i'm very proud of you so let me cover one last thing in terms of rewards so you're going to get these things known as night oath stones and these can be traded to the abyssal craft vendor back in any town hub like vern or stern or whatever you prefer and you can actually get some gear set pieces for these now this special set comes with bonuses that will improve your combat effectiveness things like increasing your damage your movement speed your casting speed and you can transfer your existing item level to these pieces as well so as you progress through all the different stages of the abyssal dungeons you're going to get new materials to craft different sets of gear all with different set bonuses and yes you can mix and match these as much as you would like to so just keep that in mind as you unlock more and more you're gonna see some different stones but you're also gonna have access to different gear sets so everybody that wraps this one up i hope that this has helped you kind of get introduced to abyssal dungeons why you want to do these as well as learning how to handle corrupted vissula and
