difficult five foot nine cent a half away at brentford very difficult and i think he's seen that um but those players i think to be fair we've told the story of them now for 12 months and i feel like they're just continually we're continually saying the same things about the same people however i can't believe eight months out nine months ago was it ralph ranyak said that manchester united needed open-heart surgery he was the guy that was going to come in and direct this club moving forward beyond his coaching role so they've obviously not listened to him or they've got complete inability to be able to bring the players into the club and that's the problem now manchester united in the past in the last 10 years have always answered the fans anger through money and spending in the transfer market the problem is now no one wants to take the money and that's a massive issue and maybe no one wants to come here at the moment i'm saying no one's to take the money i mean they can't spend the money and that's a big problem and so i said at half time if you're a player watching that performance in the first half what are you thinking about coming to this club you know it's a great football club it's a magic football club it's been the biggest thing in my life and i couldn't be so more proud to support the club but at this moment in time it is really desperate really really desperate there's no leadership there is no voice you can't blame you know the individual player or the manager you know you've got to look above you have to look to the very top now and this week honestly there are going to be they're going to get peppered those players the coach the sporting department the new ceo they're all going to get peppered but there's a family over there in america who are just literally letting their employees take all the hits for them and that is unforgivable they've got to get on a plane joel glazer's got to get on a plane tomorrow he's got to get over to manchester and he's got to start to divert the issues away from the club and tell everybody what the hell his plan is with the football club what is he doing yeah i get that but you can't no no yeah yeah yeah yeah you've only got the players before the break though jamie blaming the play he can't when you're a player and i've been involved we didn't win the league for 30 years at liverpool right just look at me when i'm talking to you in the league for 30 years we went through it no i'm not going to cut the players what i'm saying but they have to take responsibility when you're a player do you think i wonder what john is doing how many times i have to do better how many times are we going to sit here and say those players need a lack leadership personality they need to how many times you keep saying get rid of the owner no but they've proven it they've proven they've spent millions on the team they've proven they can't handle it these players so they needed to have a good transfer market they've not had a good chance his fault he's now gone whose fault is it now when the business is failing it's not performing it's the owners of that business it's really simple it's failing miserably they keep spending money on the players gary you're calling me blaming the people keep saying it's all about the two you think do you think they go and everything's going to be great on this pitch they took 24 million quid out the club about two months ago we've got now a decrepit rotting stadium that is to be fair second rate when it was the best stadium in the world 15 20 years ago you've got a football project where they haven't got a clue you've put bankers in charge of the football club not making football decisions they've not appointed a sporting director right we can look at the players all you like but there are that many big things that need to be put right first they've got to show up and basically face the music now's the time you can't keep hiding over in tampa and thinking that nothing's going to come back to you but yeah i get that with the owners but you can't keep like you're saying that always nothing to do i've i've heard you criticize daniel levy at tottenham when they failed over a long period of time because to be fair they've had failure over 20 30 years yeah and that's a fact so my point is here now they've had failure for 10 years at manchester united the club is right he's got it right do you know why he's got it right because you should have done what you should have done and he's got antonio conte in his manager you didn't want to touch him he would have come in here and he would have got those players in a better shape than what they are he's built an unbelievable stadium that people want to come and play for he's got the best training ground in the country he's appointed a fantastic sporting director he's built an unbelievable stadium the best in the world he's built a training ground that's to die for he's brought in a sporting director who knows what he's doing and he's now got a manager that suits what they want to do at this moment in time manchester united manchester united are the opposite of that from a manchester united point of view and we we do we don't have the the glazers here to give a writer but the but the point is that they will point to the amount of money that they have spent on players do we need to offset that by the amount of money that manchester united are giving to players in terms of dividends and in terms of the rising debt because manchester united fans would say as you know gary would say manchester united generate more than enough income to be one of the top spenders in the premier league that's a given that should be the only money rather when they say they've given them the money the only money that has been spent on players at manchester united is the money the club has generated or that it's borrowed it does not come from the families let's get this out of our heads that the glazer family are putting money in every year like roman abramovich did like the saudi arabians are doing at newcastle like shakeman stores don't manage the city they're handing the pockets spending on players they've not done that they've borrowed and they've used the revenue that the club generates through its incredible fan base and a great commercial operation that's what's happened so anybody that owns that club if us four own that club tomorrow we could spend the same money every year on that football club through each generation of revenues that's a fact these owners sincere alex ferguson have proven in 10 years they cannot manage a forward-thinking football club it's been overtaken in every single department and it's painful when alex ferguson was a manager he was happy to work for them you were happy to work for them they weren't quite so bad no jamie i was a footballer at the club and i would die for this football club so why don't these players here do the same thing then what's the difference my point is that this moment in time there has been a toxic culture and atmosphere created at the club over a 10-year period without its leader sir alex ferguson and david gill who were propping the club up whilst the family to be fair was sat there in america glorifying the fact that they were part of it we're now seeing what has happened without sir alex ferguson without david gill without leadership we're now seeing what's happening and it's a mess and it cannot continue to go on it can't it is possible to have an owner who is absent if the appointments that they put in place are the right appointments so is your criticism then of the appointments that the glazers are making the people who are in charge of the transfers the people who are ma appointing the the manager is that where your criticism of the glazes is the embedded failure over a 10-year period and where the club are currently at has to come back to the ownership you can i blamed edward for a long time but the relative is the glazer family left him in situ when he shouldn't have been left in situ in charge of the football side i think ed probably would have done a good a good job on the business side they've still not dealt with the football operation they've still not dealt with the players in the recruitment department they've still not dealt with the stadium which is rusting and needs massive money spending manchester united in a billion pounds in this next two three years to either rebuild or renovate that stadium they probably need another five six hundred million pounds for training ground and other infrastructure projects and football and football investment they've only got 40 50 million pounds cash left in the bank they were cash rich three years ago they had 350 million pounds in the bank they've no longer got that money in the bank something is going to have to give soon very very soon
