Logan Paul Opens my $200,000 Pokémon Booster Pack

on october the 3rd 2020 logan paul announced to the world that he was the mystery buyer of the 200 000 first edition base set pokemon booster box now i actually watched the auction for this box live it was a record-breaking price i didn't know at the time that it was logan paul who would purchase the box but around a week later rumors started to surface and when he announced that he was the buyer and that he was going to be selling the packs and opening them live on his youtube channel october the 9th i knew that i had to get involved i immediately hit him up on twitter and dmd him and said bro i'm down to get a pack the price was eleven thousand one hundred and eleven dollars the most expensive pack in pokemon history but i was down to do it for the content the shout out and for the event in general see pokemon has been a big part of my life ever since i can remember since i was six years old i was collecting cards with my parents and my family not just the cards the game as well in fact my brother didn't have red didn't have blue instead he had pokemon green imported from japan okay my family were huge on pokemon not only that we live next door to somebody who was known as the pokemon professor and instead of buying packs from the pokemon club my mom would literally go next door and buy booster boxes upon booster boxes of the vintage pokemon cards it was six years old when i first started collecting these cards and my mom even claims that's how i learned to read so i'm sure you can imagine how big my passion for pokemon actually is as weird as that may sound to a lot of you it's just the truth she made me sleep them up she made me put them in the binder and she made me look after you and value these cards so to me we're worth so much because these are the cards that are packed when i was younger with my mum and they're now encapsulated in psa cases in german 10. it was amazing i can't tell you guys the my passion for pokemon is huge it's like it's part of my life you know my memories of my mum you know that's with me forever man like collecting cards with her it's just such a nice feeling i'm gonna cry oh my god like i love this man i love this so best believe when logan announced that he was selling his packs i had to get involved for the culture okay so eleven thousand dollars is how much i have paid to buy this pack and we're gonna quickly look at the values of what we could get in this pack best case and also what we could get in this pack worst case now also please note the prices i'm going to be talking about are the last sold psa price best case obviously would be the charizard if we get the charizard first edition we've gone clear okay not only have we made our money back we've also profited we've made money but also we've pulled the best card in the entire box before this day was upon us i was expecting to get a rare trainer right because if i expect a red trainer anything above that is a plus okay so you could get a computer search that's a rare the evolution spray that's a rare item finder that's a rare pokemon breeder pokemon trainer super energy removal first edition that's a rare as well it's not great beyond the hollows there's still hope okay squirtle charmander bulbasaur pikachu all high value cards okay these are the first starters these are the first pokemon that many of the collectors out there you know faced in their journey to be a pokemon master on the games you know these are the first three pokemon for example squirtle first edition psa 10 2 300 last sold charmander 2 300 last sold bulbasaur three thousand last sold so i guess obviously the perfect pack would be charizard first edition ps810 beyond that it would be any holo beyond that it would be any rare pokemon beyond that if all else fails you better hope you at least get one starter pokemon you know eleven thousand a lot of money okay these packs are not eleven thousand dollars if you're buying a pack from logan paul in this opening you're paying for the exposure you're paying for the shout out and you're paying for the event okay you're not just paying for the pack itself so i'm paying the premium because i want to be involved in the logan pack opening i'm paying a premium because i want to get the exposure some content out of it and um yeah i'm happy to do it but let's hope let's hope we make some money back she said this is probably the craziest decision i've ever made sixty thousand dollars raised is fantastic cocoon at length and length there he lengths 22 pounds it just can't happen in real life but it's fantastic a yellow cheeks pikachu a yellow chicks pikachu while wearing the pikachu costume that's a good car that's a great card i want the red cheek so badly this is i believe the fourth or fifth yellow cheeks pikachu but here we go ma here's the last card and it is a pidgeotto uh connor david one pack graded gem youtube channel yes let's go create a gym check it out come on boys come on there are 12 hollows in a box which means there's only one more hollow left and around six packs to go mr b is up next with two packs and you'll see how it goes so if mr beast does pull a hollow i'm pretty much guaranteed not to get one come on mr v is two packs mr beast he was gonna buy one two do you know what mr b said he would do if we drew him a charizard you would think he said he'd sell it was amazing i thought logan did an incredible job raised over 75 000 as well for charity he didn't have to do that he could have just done the live stream but he decided to you know make it a fundraiser and actually raise money for charity so shout out to logan amazing job right there and to say you've only been in the pokemon card collecting hobby for just over a month now you've learned a lot in a shorter space of time your interest and excitement into pokemon is genuine and i truly believe that but i think there's one glaring issue that has to be said and that is collectibles guru okay the bald guy in the live stream and in logan's recent videos i'm not a fan okay this guy is not good for pokemon at all and i don't want to sit on the fence anymore i was being a little bit leaning in my prior videos but this guy is not good and logan if you are watching this i want you to understand this is not this guy is not good for you okay this guy is just not good for you the values of the cards in this live stream were way off every single card the value was wrong okay just wrong and i know you're logan paul and i know logan paul can you know increase the price a little bit because you're paying for the premium to be on his platform you're paying for the promotion and you're buying a card from liverpool i get that but the amount is going up is just it's just not good man like logan even said in his video his first video that he bought the charizard psa9 from collectibles guru for 25 000. in the video collectibles guru said the card would be 35 to 40 000 by christmas he is not in a position to say that he is not in a position to claim that he is lying to the public okay and then in the video when logan did pull the charizard and they thought it was a psa nine they said something like sixty five thousand dollars valuation so how's the card gone from 25 to 35 to 40 to then 65 and i understand cars do increase we just saw a record price for the psa 10 charizard and the bulbasaur man the bulbasaur is probably the mean one and the the most outrageous one this guy collectibles guru kept saying this bulbasaur is worth thirty thousand thirty thousand dollars because of the length length error and the fact that it was a thick stamp and it's just not true man go on ebay right now you can buy one for like 1.5 k it's not maybe a little bit more but it's not 30k man and even logan and to be fair logan even you were saying are you sure are you sure this cards worth 30 grand because even you thought like how can a venusaur be worth like 15 how can a blastoise be worth 30 000 but the bulbasaur the common the non-hollow that you pull like three or four times in the video be worth 30 000. it's just messed up and then again to make things worse i even heard logan when i was watching the reaction back to edit it even heard logan say that it was collectible guru's idea to do the live stream in the first place it was his idea to do the first edition base that box in the first place which says it all man this guy is a crypto guy his background is in crypto he is here for the money only and to fill his back pocket he's not here for the love of the hobby he's not here for the love of pokemon he's here to make himself rich go do your thing man make money i've got no problem with people making money when you come to a collectible hobby and that i love daily with all my heart i love pokemon all of the cars the memory nostalgia and you're inflating these prices just to fill your pocket i'm gonna have a problem with it you know what i'm saying and don't get me wrong cars do go up you can make money in pokemon i'm not trying to keep either i'm helping my friends get involved now as well giving them advice etc but i ain't gonna let this guy just come in and just rip people off because now is gonna be people watching this live stream who are gonna go and put money into the base set first edition based set which is fine do that but just know that this price that is it's just wrong man it's just wrong the prices aren't what he's saying it happened throughout the whole live stream as well just collectibles guru spitting out like numbers to logan that just weren't true twenty five thousand for a mewtwo so many thousand for the other card it's just it's just making it up on the spot and trying to increase the value of the base set so he can sell his cards for more money it's just a joke man don't get me wrong i flip cards i buy boxes i open them i grade them and i sell them on the website i do that there's not a problem with that that's just part of what part of pokemon but to artificially increase the value is wrong and messed up i wish leon hartman i wish someone with actual like knowledge of pokemon was
