hello this is Christopher at works and we're here today to talk about some LMT rifles and what makes them so fine a rifle but everybody should like to have one we have the mws see here on the right that has the platform with the quad rail in the forend have the lm8 the smooth side here on the left and that one also is a very fine rifle built on the same basic platform but much lightened and profile of course much a little more slender than the mws see now some years ago the British military found itself in need of a designated marksman rifle so they contacted LMT in various other rifle manufacturers and wanted some to check out to do some testing with basically some military abuse to see how well they would stand up and to the story wound up being that LMT survived better than arrest the british selected that for their designated marksman rifle and they've been using it with a great deal of success the reliability and the accuracy are all at the British military required and we're gonna take a look at both the MWF see here they're both monolithic rail platform uppers and the lm8 here on the left and they do come with detachable rails so if you choose to put rails on the lm8 you might most certainly do so and be able to put on light laser bipod what-have-you first take a look before we delve into it the ambidextrous safety here so right hand or left hand you have no problem operating it also the ambidextrous magazine release right there in the mag well and of course the bolt latch release up here and while we're looking at items let's take a look at the rear sight for a moment it's so fully adjustable for elevation and for windage on the other side and it has two apertures smaller aperture the longer range targets larger aperture for a quick target acquisition of close most excellent site and that being said let's go ahead and break it down load us and looking at the bolt face we've got twin plunger ejectors LMT decided they wanted an absolutely reliable rifle so when you fire the LMT those ejectors do their part and that brass does not stay in the gun it gets kicked out in a big hurry they also have an excellent eject extractor here on the side you can see and I will break down the bolt here so we can take a better look at it the standard AR takedown campaign out here's our bolt and as you can see good and wide takes a good grip on that case and make sure it when it goes in the chamber it's gonna come out again things are just a little bit larger on the 308 obviously than the five five six and very well put together you don't have to worry about the firing pin retaining pin it does not come out it's retained in the bolt makes it easier for takedown in the field another outstanding feature of the LMT is especially for those in the military who use it in British military or US military if there are some there the interchangeable barrels and that's for if a gun has been out in the field for a while and fired a lot used and abused and the barrel is too hot or worn out or whatever and if we take a look here these are the takedown bolts these are the bolts that are loosen and drawn out and then the barrel can be pulled straight out the front and replaced and the the gun does come with a factory torque wrench in the package and this is it and we'll go ahead and the idea how the they're gonna remove the bolts next thing before we try to take the barrel out is to lock the bolt open and the barrel will follow straight out the front and there we go it's out ready for service or replacement and let's take a quick glance here at the markings and you can see it's marked magnetical particle tested mp7 62 NATO 308 Winchester for those that want to know the interchangeability one in ten inch twist and CF c CB chrome bore we're doing a little bit please you there we have it back installer in place race the bold now the LM TM WS e comes with its a monolithic rail platform upper quad rail is integral to the monolithic rail platform the top rail has the detachable front rear sights so if the operator chooses to install an EOTech or a telescope or night vision device or other kind of sight they are very easily accommodated just undo the thumb screws which are visible on the left hand side of the sights sights are removed whatever sight is intended is mounted you also have the option with this quad rail you have sling school anchor points right on the left and on the bottom of the quad rail at the front so it gives a great deal of flexibility and gives you great bit of latitude so you can mount lights lasers bipod or if you choose not to mount any of those things just a sling there our rail covers that will cover the rails make it a much easier hand grip at the front and allow the use of the rifle with great rapidity with regard to the lm8 let's take a look at it as you can see it's called the slick side not for nothing the LMT company decided to make a smooth version easier handling and just as capable they shaved quite a bit of weight 67 ounces off the upper monolithic rail platform again that single piece upper they can give maximum stiffness and maximum accuracy in the rifle and it comes with four rails and six rail covers make a good hand grip and to allow leeway to attach whatever is necessary we have a force excuse me a three slot that's five slot seven slot nine slot rails that can be installed on the sides either right or left or on the bottom there are ten threaded holes on each side and on the bottom to mount those rails and likewise there are holes available for the rail covers to make a more comfortable grip for the operator and the rifles come with the sling 20 round magazine before rail sections and the six hand guard rail covers so we can help you with them give us a call they're available from rat works eight one five seven three four seven three four six and they are on gun broker they are also on the rat works website rat works usa.com so if we can help you let us know we'll be glad to help thank you
