welcome everybody to the pulley to floor 7-eleven oh my gosh I don't even know if I even start with whoa whoa whoa [Music] [Music] something very simple but something that I do every time I travel is just walk around just walking through the streets and overall just getting the vibe of what's around me what sorts of foods are out there what sorts of stores and probably the most recognizable thing that's literally on every street is a 7/11 and I'm not talking about just a 7/11 where you can pick up you know some fast food or some quick snacks I'm talking about absolute mega store unbelievable literal cultural discovery of 7-eleven you see 711s here in Taiwan are arguably the best in the world so to kind of realize my passion with these 7-eleven and overall be sure that I explore them completely here in Taipei I'll be living on 7-eleven foods for 24 hours just looking around everything is new to me here all the snacks all the food is like warm up meals believe this is like a breakfast food purple something sandwich I can't read that oh my god there's so much to choose from here sealed off egg what is the coordinate of fact I've never see their before and then not to even mention all these snacks you know the difficulty isn't even going to be living here today it's going to be finding what exactly I want to eat but okay plan my mission for today is to experience the most Taiwanese day pasta so to eat the most Taiwanese foods and literally experience the culture so first objective find a Taiwanese breakfast you speaking no you don't hold it for comment did you speak English sir you speak English at all no Google Translate I'm looking for the most Taiwanese breakfast it's a tea a ger oh whoa what is it exactly it's like hey this is this is with mate with key so oh okay so it's like marinated in the year so I normally eat about three eggs for breakfast so I'm gonna take three of these tea eggs here and maybe just for a base a few of these get some guava to be healthy each store that I'll go to I'll try kind of like a mistress who it's something that I've never seen before an absolute mystery beverage with the only English being evergreen packaging thank you this place is frickin cool man this is like a coca-cola dreamland air everything is just coca-cola out you get like your picture taken over there but anyway the food that I chose to go without a oldest selection the recommendation of demands of the ta-a ta give the boiled egg that's slightly crack and then boiled again it has kind of like a brown slash black outside look now I also had to go with two negatives one theme was looks to be tuna and the other I believe I don't even know from that picture possibly beef if you know what this is commented below and also a pretty cool fruit of guava and of course the mystery products I don't know I'm definitely gonna start with the tea egg because this looks so crazy just like look at that it's like completely black I've never seen something like that before Wow you know I'm a big fan of boiled and poached egg something quick to do with like meal prepping and just like when you're on the go just a pop-up in a boiled egg but this right here transforms the boiled egg you from the inside there the entire egg is affected by that tea spice and sauce combination giving it that nice rich flavor with the yolk but also kind of like a tangy nough swiss sauce Oh how I've missed you take a look at the first one there the meat is literally just like popping out of that rice I don't even know what to start with there that is absolutely not be that looks to be like dried fish in there has that kind of like crusty texture but also a sweet and salty finish to it and all when combined with the rice it's an absolute mystery drink what does it be like milk cheers to cultural discovery I have absolutely no idea what that was it has some sort of like soy beans / like nutty taste to it so mystery drink pretty good she's shopping at 7-eleven all right so welcome back everybody to a very stormy looking Taiwan I'm gonna make this short because it looks like it's about the storm here but right now I'm headed to my next 7-eleven and for this one I specifically looks for one of the best 7-elevens with a hot food section oh my supposed typhoon yup I'm going inside big oh my gosh I just so much to choose from here pasta Mapo tofu dumplings a bunch of different sandwiches tempted to get another onigiri and then like all of these meats here and actually these are pretty like specific meats like there's sugar cane smoked dark sauteed chicken gizzard sugar braised this is a chicken drumstick roast buffalo wings this is like a bigger selection than a local restaurant I got to get the freshly made noodles try this mystery sandwich smoked duck because why not just to see the quality some dumpling now as for the mystery dish I I wanted a recommendation for Taiwanese food what is this whoa okay I'll take it yeah yeah it's a mystery traditions of absolute monster it's lunch but I both got cold food and also a pot soon so what I'm gonna do is just split this up cold food hot food so first things first let's try the purple sandwich here holy Wow thing that I absolutely adore about sandwiches at 7-eleven just all around Asia is that they're sandwiches but also almost like morphed into cakes you have like a layer of the jelly binding with it some sort of like whipped cream moving on to the mystery through here from the absolutely incredible employee that helped us pick it out that is interesting it looks at have a combination of a base which looks like rice combined with meat [Music] did you see my face yeah because of my face I was like okay so that was totally not supposed to be eaten cold but honestly the best employee took all my food to get warmed up in the microwave and told me when she's doing that for me to dive into the only other food that I actually had on my counter that was cold that these noodles here so sauce fresh noodles let's go these things the first thing I noticed was the freshness attached to them and you saw this slurps that I took the noodles themselves are incredibly long and well made oh my gosh you you are the best thank you so much okay so she is the absolute best I'm gonna put these noodles to the side and move on to the hot food section this is the sugar cane smoked dog first impressions I am incredibly impressed looked at he cooked perfectly and seasoned quite well alright to have that quality dog at a 7-eleven is unbelievable just taking a look at a piece of this the meat to fat ratio is perfectly on point moving on to the benzo and I am absolutely impressed by this Bentley it has the meat it has the rice it has the vegetables everything here that you need is here it's like marinated dumplings are one of my favorite foods so these I mean when you get dumplings from a 7-eleven I'm not really expecting too much that's dumpling sauce on man it was like almost a burst of juice which was like an incredibly salty flavor that it was like now it's a pretty nice piece inside each dumpling quality unimpressed so I am officially so so full lunch time was a nasal make my Slurpee all right so after a few hour break dinner time now for lunch we tried the hot food like the ready-made section and although this was absolutely incredible and amazing what Taiwan 711s are known for are the snacks supposedly Taiwan has all these different types of snacks that personally I have never tried right now I'm headed to the 7-eleven that actually has one of the highest ratings in Taiwan not really sure what you know is special about it but right now I'm heading in there and let's try all these snacks Wow this not only do the snacks look delicious but they come in like all these cute little boxes to make so many snacks around me so I think I need some help I just wanted to ask you a question so I'm looking for to try the best Taiwanese snacks yeah okay I won I won okay cool yo get that - yeah I just I want to try like the best yeah the best one yeah your favorite shoes how do you how do you say Fung Lee su was it good okay I don't very memos okay cool thank you chocolate or this chocolate okay so it's like a it's like a shrimp shrimp cookie Wow thank you you guys are awesome thank you so much my mom keep I must food I feel like I'm an experienced in all of Taiwan and 7-eleven to Tyler call Taiwan of course yeah you're awesome yeah very okay apple cider ba-ba-ba-ba-ba okay I think this is amazing thank you so much yeah I thank you you were so great at detailing everything for me yeah thank you [Music] it's it that I'm excited to dig into this anyway with that said seeing that we have like all of these different snacks here I think we have like we have one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and with the drink eleven snacks I feel like it would be better to do almost like a master suite salty hot let the mash-up begin and it's absolutely so you know these are actually Taiwanese sausages no one makes this special is that cheese seen there on the outside it's almost compar mice together giving it like a sweep me see taste next one of the things that I'm most interested in the shrimp cookie that it smells just like shrimp but also it smells like a cookie okay definitely a completely different flavor that I've ever tasted before it crossed on this it's not necessarily a cookie but also not necessarily a chip like in the range of a very tiny breadstick I love the packaging on the Taiwanese snacks and several of it it's like a potato man with a rainbow cover in it I mean it's a potato chip with a very interesting twist attached like it says that there's an egg in there but it tastes more like almost like a buttery texture which is really tricky to use butter is normally associated with like a sweet snack or an apple cider really good laughs salty snack I've had dried fish in the past well but never one that smelled like this now the cool thing about dried fish and specifically this one is that the more you choose the morning taste that like fishy flavor okay now for the sugary snacks here I feel like we got so many this section is going to be disney is basically getting an absolute sugar rush let's start off with a cream puff okay now this it looks like it could be like the best sugary cereal of all time at first glance this is basically a chocolate ball when you bite into it across just like crumbles underneath and they agree with like this literal using of chocolate having these things be like such bite-sized pieces these could most definitely be a victim that's so true it's just like a little square of tape right there it's like the real pineapple is is absolutely jammed in the soft crust of it beautiful and also quite fresh inside the pineapple cake this is officially my favorite snack Taiwan so far now for the absolute mystery snaggle I've absolutely no idea how to describe this thing other than it's like a swirly chocolate milk combination with what looks to be like seeds okay that's definitely not chocolate it's almost like a light way fruit taste with not too much sugar but more so like a ready substance to it thank you oh that was the coolest experience ever
