so it's four in the morning current temp in the van 30 degrees Fahrenheit ah we're gonna put the heat on let's see here we're gonna turn it on we're gonna do about 65 we don't want to burn ourselves out and we're gonna put it on hi and that's it and it should turn on uh let's check the what's the current temp outside turn the vehicle on so we can check the current temp outside current temp outside is 12 degrees Fahrenheit whoa it's pretty cold out guys pretty cold out that's kind of the current situation with the bed it's disarray but nice and warm let's see if the heat kicked on you hear it oh it's nice it's blowing takes a minute to warm up let's check the other vamp and as you can hear it's on and it's blowing I got it at 65 so I'm about to get back in this bed and then uh I will I'll see you guys in a bit good morning why do I always feel like you guys are like cold caught to the side um it's warm in here current temp outside 11 degrees Fahrenheit current temp inside 67 degrees Fahrenheit I just turned off I just turned down the heat uh and it just cut off so in here it's warm as you can see I'm in a t-shirt when have I ever been in a t-shirt in the winter time never um it's been off for about five minutes uh so it's fairly warm in here I have it now set at 60 so anything below 60 will kick on the heater and uh it'll it'll start up again so for right now it's nice and warm I don't want to be you know uh too hot in here but this is a comfortable temp so that we're good with heat um I'm happy it's extremely windy outside I did take a peek outside through my window and it's it snowed a lot um it's still snowing so when it gets a little bit lighter outside we'll go take a look outside so where am I at I'm at a rest stop but this time before I came here I did extensive research I made sure that this rest stop does not have any signs posted about no camping no overnight no nothing there are no signs posted outside no signs posted on the uh entryway into the rest stop area like where the vending machines are where the bathrooms are and there are no signs inside the area itself so and it got great reviews and people I was reading a lot of the reviews and people said it's okay to kind of stay a few days they don't bother you or anything and so I'm happy I'm comfortable I'm already all the way at the end towards the exit so all I gotta do when I leave is just pull out and go left there are cars here um everybody's kind of being respectful of space and kind of spaced out and um I had a good night's sleep last night I I forgot to turn on my heat again I fell asleep woke up at four in the morning as you saw from the previous clip and it was cold in here I was like oh um but now I'm good um so we're just you're gonna hang out with me this morning what we're gonna do is in an hour or so I'm gonna take you guys outside we're gonna look around we're gonna see what the damage is and then um we're gonna come back in and I bought some Christmas lights I'm going to kind of make this van a little Christmassy I realized that my van is sterile in that sense where I don't kind of do decorations I don't have any personal things up I've just always like I'm at the point now in my life now that I'm 40. it's like whatever I I only have what is necessary to survive and I feel like hey hanging pictures and hanging extra stuff to me is not necessary to survive it's just uh means to spend money when I don't really need to but I did break down and I went online on Amazon and I bought some Christmas lights some cheap Christmas lights that are battery operated and we're gonna hang them up and light it up in here and I did buy one ornament I do have an ornament so we'll hang that up for Christmas you hear it kick on so my heat just kicked back on yeah it's cold I'm starting to feel it it's starting to get a little chilly in here that fast it was only off for five minutes and it's like temperature's dropping so yep it's back on I turned it down from the high setting to economy so it's not blowing as hard but it's still blowing out heat and it'll keep it nice and warm in here all day so um yeah we're gonna hang up Christmas lights after we hang up Christmas lights uh we're gonna make breakfast and then that'll be the morning we're gonna hang out all morning so I'll see you guys in about oh oh I got another update bathroom update I do use my bathroom now um I remember you guys telling me many videos ago when I told you guys that I no longer I that I don't use my toilet because I don't want to deal with the smell I don't want to deal with cleaning it out I just can't you know I'm new to this I'm a newbie I'm a rookie at the RV living the RV life the the nomads living on the road and a lot of you guys that are experienced campers and our viewers were like you can buy liners for your toilet where you go to the bathroom inside of the liner you pull the liner and dispose of it and your toilet's still dry and clean I literally did not know that and so in light of the winter storm in light of the winter period not even the storm just winter um I've been using toilet liners for about a week now I did order some better liners off Amazon they should be coming shortly but I do have like plastic like nice little plastic liners that for the toilet and what I do is I go to the bat I before I go to bed I put the liner in the toilet and then if I have to go to the bathroom or whatever I wake up in the middle of the night I go to the bathroom leave it there until the morning then I pull the liner tie it and I dispose of it like you would dispose of your animal species if they go to the bathroom outside and you pick it up so it's so much more convenient I no longer have to go to the bathroom in a bucket and I no longer have to go number two in a public restroom I just use my van because I have liners so thank you guys for telling me about that because I seriously I didn't know um I've started drinking box water I I like the taste of it it tastes fresh this is the the latest plant-based the whole box is made of recycled material um and for every uh box that you buy they donate half the proceeds to towards planting trees so it's just fresher I should have bought a couple of these but man it's nice so what I'm gonna do now let's do some work I got my little laptop I have been making a spreadsheet of all like the campsites I go to all the places that I stealth camp at which ones not to go back to which ones to go to and just my budget so that's what I'm gonna do this morning and in about an hour when it's a little bit lighter outside we'll go outside we'll take a look around and see what's going on see the damage how much snow how windy how cold look at that you can see the wind blowing hard look at that snow blowing it's freezing out you know this is me looking right out to my double doors uh it's pretty windy up it's cold but we'll go take a better look outside here in here in a minute we're about to go outside and take a look and see what the damage is so it's pretty windy out so I probably won't be doing any talking just gonna show you guys around and then we're going to come back in so let's go outside foreign propane is on here Peter's On not a lot of snow but not not many cars are here but we do have a few got a lot a good plow the street which is good but it's we're back up here's my van where I'm parked really windy early Monday all right let's go back inside it's cold let's take a look at the other side real quick [Applause] not bad the wind must have took the snow right off the side of my vehicle because it was windy as heck last night but uh we do have a lot of snow and there's ice I can feel the ice up under my feet so we'll see how I feel I might try to leave today [Applause] well it's cold these little lights on oh it was cold out there it was really windy oh I feel kind of I feel icky it's windy out it's warm in here I didn't realize how warm it is until I went outside and came back in it's freezing out there um you saw there's a few cars there was more than that this morning so I think uh some people left but uh we still have a few cars out there um depending on what it's looking like in the morning when it gets light out I might try and leave I don't want to be here I know I said that I'll stay a day and a half like all of the half of which was yesterday and then all of today but I don't I don't know if I want to stay here all day today um we'll see what what is what it's looking like and if I can just make it to like I think exit the third exit I should be fine to kind of navigate the back roads but a lot of times the backgrounds are worse than the highways so we'll see if I stay but um I want to actually leave but I'll gauge it when it gets light out and take a look and see what's going on but it's cold out there it touched my freaking Soul like my chest is you can hear my voice is even changed it's cold whoa I'm gonna get some work done and I'll see you guys for hanging up the Christmas lights and breakfast I'll see you guys shortly so while running my propane this error message popped up and I almost had a meltdown like no but then I took a look at the manual and that means that imminent uh battery voltage very low so it can't work off that so I checked the battery voltage on my uh panel and it's at 10.3 battery's dead so we're gonna we got to crank up the vehicle to charge that battery so that we can continue to have heat and that error message will go away so let me crank up my vehicle and take care of this error message and uh charge this battery in starting up my vehicle to charge this battery I looked at the control panel huh let's turn these I thought I saw flickering I looked at control panel up front and the temperature let me show you the temperature outside is five degrees Fahrenheit oh my goodness that's freezing now that the battery is charging the lights are brighter because the flickering was because the batteries was dying the coach battery this my house battery I have two batteries I have a battery for the engine and then a battery for the house that operates everything off solar or the alternator and my battery was dying so I got the error message on my uh truma heat panel that your heat is about to turn off because your battery is dead so now that I cranked it up the light got brighter because the batteries charged and the error message went away let me show you so let me show you you see the triangle it's gone the error message went away and if you see my control panel the battery is charging it went from 10.3 to 14.2 so we're going to let the vehicle run for a bit and charge it the battery and then these lights are just brighter because the battery is charged and the error message is gone yes these are the Christmas lights that I got off Amazon so now let's start um let's put them up I'm gonna put this in here perfect there we go we got it hanging now we have another one and then put the Box up top oh I like it kind of stuff it there we go you just kind of put it there now from the angle that you guys are at we should be able to see the lights when we light them up so let's light them up what do you guys think I love it there is my Christmas lights very festive huh [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign here is the finished results uh you saw what I put in there um avocado oil butter um walnuts a bunch of vegetables from a variety pack um bell peppers variety of bell peppers onions and then uh I used the Gucci gang I know I'm probably saying it wrong paste I used cayenne pepper uh the chili pepper oil and garlic powder two scrambled eggs that scrambled in there it's packed with protein vegetables you're not going to be hungry for a while if you make this um here have a bite have that bite right there now the vegetables that were in that pack was like brussels sprouts broccoli kale um brussels sprouts broccoli kale and I I can't remember what else was in there but it was a lot of um variety of greens but yeah this is nice um I got my heater on low ever since I charged a battery no more error codes everything's working out nice and warm in here I have it on economy yup economy mode it's coming out it's not coming out as much or as powerful but it's coming out enough to keep it nice and warm in here notice you don't see my breath or anything when I'm talking um you can eat this dish without the egg eggs or without the rice oh you want me to add I should have put cheese in it but I'm not I'm gonna put some Sriracha mayo in it just for more of a kick more of a kick guys um I like the Christmas lights um I'm gonna sleep with a mom it's for indoor and outdoor use what do y'all think of the Christmas lights let me reposition you guys because the echo have a bite it's nice um this is brunch because it's it's about 11 o'clock now so I missed breakfast I got caught up and doing work and putting the lights up and stuff dealing with the error code so this is brunch I wanted to make scrambled eggs and pancakes but for breakfast but time got away from me um today December 23rd marks my my um six month anniversary and living in this van boy we had some ups and downs um I've come a long way the old me would have panicked at that error code because I've I've had issues before with air the error code and um actually my issues with the error code came up a couple days ago um when I got my propane refilled because I did get my propane refilled um it's at seven it's seven eighths full um I used an eighth so far during this winter storm but uh when I got my propane refilled a couple days ago that day when I started using error code after error code after error code excuse me it was popping up um then the next day and then I thought I cleared everything out thought I fixed it then I woke up the next morning it was like 12 degrees also I was froze I was uh no it was not was 20 degrees outside I was froze this was December 20 second this was yesterday was it yesterday it was either the 21st or 22nd of December right before the snowstorm it was it was two days before the snowstorm so it's the 20 December 21st I um woke up at 4 30 in the morning because it was freaking cold in here it was like 27 degrees in here and I tried to use my propane tank and error code after error code after error code was popping up and I couldn't fix it so nine o'clock that morning I called the RV place where I bought this and I spoke to a mechanic for 23 minutes and he went through and um you know trial and errored everything to make sure the propane tank wasn't bad or the gas lines weren't bad and he told me when we was going through it it's funny no error messages popped up I'm like really that's how it always works but he told me that usually when you refill your propane tank it's not uncommon for an air pocket to get in there and that air pocket more than likely uh caused all those error codes here I have another bite and so I've just been through a lot so when that error message popped up today I just had flashbacks from a couple days ago and I'm like oh no but I didn't Panic check the manual figured out what it was uh cranked up my my van charged my battery error code disappeared heat has been gone ever since it's a spicy it's good though oh the eggs are a nice touch too I was gonna fry two eggs and put it on top I'm like now I'll scramble it in just to make it more I don't know it's just better I think scrambling it in tastes better but I'm gonna go ahead and get out of here and finish this it's windy it's windy as all get up outside and my van was rocking a little bit but all in all I'm surviving the snowstorm so far so good um current temp in the van 64 degrees I have it set to 65 so once it hits 65 in here my heater my heater will cut off and once it goes below 65 it'll cut on so it's been comfortable in here um I was worried at first because I was like man this is my first snowstorm I didn't know how the van was going to hold up the system the heat but baby I love you I hope
