okay so you're going to repeat the questions right yes absolutely hello San we're live at the Merchant Mall from Bernina University so this is San Bergeron he's going to be here at be but also in Fresno at Bernina consumer convention on July 12th or the 13th so my first question for sane is going to be what makes the Bernina stand out from previous models and what are you most excited about this release well welcome first what's obvious is it's bigger it's brighter and every features used to have been augmented like they do they do more but they also do more for your sewing and what's obvious here is that you know the screen is much bigger than it used to be this is where you interface with most of the features of the machine and that has both controls that are familiar because they've been kept from the previous generation but they've been augmented you know have Wi-Fi built in we have the laser of course oh there's a camera so we'll talk to that a little bit now the big screen which is the size of an iPad basically right makes things possible interface wise you can give more information like all the controls now have wording it's easier and the manual is even built in the whole manual is manual is built in so you know the one you cannot find when you need it it's in there you cannot lose it so everything is brighter it's deeper 14 in to the right which means when you get to embroidery your full stitching field can be 12 in wide we can now quilt an entire 12 12 in FL in one shot so that's huge so it's not just a matter of size it's what it makes easier and simpler like no more re hooping of pro block you Cann out do the whole thing at once the rest of the goodies you know the jumbo Bob in it's still there uh it's you know if if you have already a jumbo Bob in like this you you know how to use this super simple controls all on the outside very burning n the module is faster and quieter it's uh you can barely hear it while it's running it's it sounds like a hum yes it's just a quiet hum and then let's let's show you know the big start of the show it's included with the machine at this time this is the giant hoop roughly 12 by 16.1 in but a big hoop like this could get a little weak you know like it's in a big frame we need to trust it at the top here and at the bottom to reinforce it so this is completely rigid and when you put your quilt in there there's no guessing so the Precision is just like anybody in ever the Precision is there so in short bigger better more features and it's a bigger box of crayons my next question for you is if you can share any behind the scenes moments about the Innovations it took to develop this 990 you know the expression it takes a village this was a cross a transatlantic effort you know the based in Switzerland these are made in Switzerland but the Swiss team teamed up with people from the US our experts my colleagues Haley went to Switzerland many times uh Connie was involved with the the quilting and the hoop process so they leaned on us for the expertise as users and they take that into the R&D and then they take that into the making of this machine so that it will do what we want it to do uh and from the little things to the big things you know including like the Stitch plates now are automatically recognized by the machine when you put it on if you put a straight Stitch plate on this the machine will know automatically so all these from the threading a machine to creating a complex quilt anything in between whether you're making a mug rug or a wedding quilt all the features have been put in there to make you work easier and better and it's a huge team that did this very close very closely knit team and that's the beauty of Verina is that they rely on US the US market a lot of course but they also call on us so we are not only included it's very responsive it's very collaborative so that's the for me the best part of seeing this come through a lot of ours go into something like this I love that that's such a wonderful response I think that it's such a beauty we're family company and literally in the US with the extended family wonderful my next question for you is what Innovative features of the 990 that you think will revolutionize the sewing experience okay the one of the big things is this thing has a camera so if you're sewing you can see whether your fabric is lining let's say if you were sewing you needed to Edge Stitch and be a certain point and stop right at the dot you can that can team up with the laser so when you turn on the laser you'll be able to tell I can't see my finger right now but the laser will point right at your fabric the tiny little point so the Precision you don't have to struggle for it the machine is showing it to you all you have to do is not to sew too fast so you stop on the dock that's it so all of these things are put together to make your life easier but also your results better so that that those are the two biggest now the camera in embroidery you have the back of a jean jacket you know you want to embroider the Yol you may not have hooped it perfectly square right there some of those slanted seams sometimes will play tricks on you well you basically you touch one button and the Machine will scan photograph the entire hooping and show you the real not just a small square the entire Yol of the jean jacket on the hoop and then you can place your embroidery exactly so so you don't no guessing no guessing with all of this the visuals are there here and they are gathered here by the camera and then you get exactly what you see is what you get is what you're going to get when you finish the beautiful our gals are just waking up it's uh 8:30 in California yeah we're eastern time here yes ma yes good morning um Maria Ford says that screen is huge it's such a beautiful machine and yes it is yeah and the reason we put the screen here is that that's a b thing if you put the screen here it's easier but when you sew if you have to turn completely away to look at the screen your brain is switch gears and you're no longer sewing you're trying to capture an interface here I can glance up and see my Stitch and the picture of the exact press foot you know when I select it right so and it looks like the Press foot because they use the engineering images to put on screen so there's no interpreting it's exactly what you see down here so if I select a foot here and I select foot number 26 I can just go and say put 26 there it is when I select it there's the foot exactly here as it looked down here so I just glance up and I see what I'm getting okay so whether you're sewing or embroidering it's the same so the interface is very transparent and the big screen just made that best they're asking me to zoom out they want to experim the whole dealss big news for sure here's that Maxi hoop too or what this is a mega hoop giant giant hoop giant not to misname it comes with a Twist lock mechanism which means hooping takes a couple of seconds right you just put it there done that's really cool amazing and so finally my next question for you is at the upcoming Bernina consumer convention what can attendees look forward to learning and experiencing with you sane okay so what that would be a party it's a big deal it does a lot so we're going to give you a tour of everything I call this a box of crayons to me it's not about the machine and the end is what it can do for me right so we're going to go over all the features and the the the all the functionalities that make this useful for you and your craft make it easier and all the possibilities it opens up for embroidery sewing quilting all of it and then there'll be some live demo where we will actually uh see how easy it is to place you can just literally technical language slap this on a stabilizer and the Machine lets you place everything with a laser it's and the camera super easy no guessing and then when you're done you just peel them off and use them right so we'll do a little live demo in that direction but we'll have a more full tool all with the machine does a little bit of bur history because there's like over a 100 years of experience going into making a burning n right and we always Bak that into the machine because we wanted to work so and as I said I'm not I work for Bina but I'm a user myself like this thing has to work for me and when we sat in front of this we we took we took a minute we were impressed to the point where we took a minute like wow the the intelligence that went into this by the team the development team is amazing so uh can't wait to share it with all of you all right I we have one final question as we only have four minutes left folks so one person asks I want to see how the camera placements work I know we already kind of did but yeah you you'll have to come on the 12 and 13th where we'll go through the details where the camera basically uh in the hoop will scan the entire hoop you see the hoop moving it will scan the entire hoop and then the full image will be on screen not just a little rectangle the C the one camera shot takes but it will stitch together the entire hoop content so that at that point you can move wherever and when you're in embroidery you can pinch and zoom on the screen when you place your designs you can rotate then you have gestures now because this behaves like a big tablet it's the size of a tablet and it adds the gestures of a tablet so you no longer just have to push little controls you can literally by Instinct you roll your stuff on the stre zoom in zoom out it's super easy all righty well thank you so much San I know our girls really enjoyed this little live segment with us but again if you want to experience this firsthand join us at berina consumer convention like 12 13 right yes exactly in Fresno California thank you so much Shan bye bye
