LIVE BIRTH! Caught On Camera For The First Time!

it took a little longer than expected the Hooves were sticking out come on Mama come on one good push and I'm sitting here getting worried I just saw this calf born dead [Music] basically oh my gosh peaches peaches is having a calf holy crap peaches is happening cap you guys stay with me I'm busy sorry I'm in my truck I'm gonna go ahead and pull out of here so I'm just backing up out of the pasture real quick just reduce something some of this pressure off oven peaches is very friendly cow one we raised but this is wild shift like she's just back to normal now this sack hasn't busted yet she's gonna go off by herself now what's Wild here is that little birth sack was hanging out I thought I saw a hoof and now she sucked it back in that's incredible I don't even know what's going on I was just filming and I saw it something white sticking out of her in her straining and it went back in that's crazy I thought we were I thought this was it here we go nope said she's walking right back over to where she came from I said it when I pulled up here I'm like if Belle Starr had her baby then peaches was close let's look over there and sure enough two feet are out come on Mama you got a peaches peaches is another one of my first I'm on one good push mama you got it come on come on girl got it I hope we don't have another complication foreign she's trying this won't come out foreign just want to go pull the calf want to go pull the calf hey Siri text Marissa come on get him out get him out get him out see his face come on girl she's suffocating baby's out come on Mama check it wake it up [Music] come on peaches thank you oh gosh come on come on oh same okay wake up buddy so I'm Shake ahead oh see his head up good Mama got all these little red dogs watching there he is really bull ET foreign what a wild wild evening oh my gosh um peaches just had a calf and I witnessed it for the first time a live birthing of an American Bison I guess uh it takes five years to uh to actually see this in um in Real Life coming up on our fifth anniversary of Raisin bison and it started with beaches uh the sad part of this whole story is we are shining right now we are we're we're celebrating the life of a fresh born Red Dog of an American Bison right here from one of the first ones we raced this is her third calf and uh the sad part there's a mama over there uh is in the morning process that just lost her calf and this is bellstarth one of the ones that we started with we started raising with uh peaches actually so uh we are celebrating the new life of a born one here and in the meantime back here she is uh morning uh the loss of her own calf today that just happened about an hour ago just a wild chain of events that happened I went from being very sad which I'm still very sad uh the Bell star losing her calf I want to explain on that but and then sitting here filming talking to you guys looking at my camera and noticed that something started sticking out of peaches the big white sack and uh there it was the pizza started having a calf in the middle of me speaking and talking about and videoing about Bell star losing our calf Pizza starts having her calf so immediately I fly out the drum I pull back so I can film her and uh try to catch a live birth that's been my thing I've been always trying to bring you guys is catching actual live birth of a bison here and um of course it took a little longer than expected Hooves were sticking out they'd go back in she was pacing around in between the herds she'd go off by herself she would come back with the herd and you know that's like 30 minutes and I'm sitting here getting worried I just saw this calf uh born dead and then so my immediate thought was oh no here we go again what's what's going on peaches and and and Bell star have been together they were raised together they've been at Mom and Kevin's and we moved them over here uh several months ago I'm thinking okay what's going on here uh but luckily she finally finally got the calf out and my thought was when it hit the ground I was worried about it of course the Drone died you know 30 40 minutes of flying the Drone it it died so uh I pulled up here a little closer if it was any other cow but some of these ones that we've raised since we were they were yearlings I can get a little bit close to but I'm still filming giving her plenty of safe distance but when I saw that calf hit the ground uh it wasn't moving and it took about 30 seconds and Peach is still laid there and I thought that they had him standing up actually but and I think she was trying to but she just had a problem so she laid down it got it came out and it wasn't moving and so my immediate reaction was here we go again we're gonna have the same issue something's going on but um luckily calf started moving its legs and head and mama got up and peaches is taking care of it uh just like she's supposed to but sadly uh Bell star is over here and uh she's laying down right there next to her calf and um so what I'm gonna do with her is I'm gonna have to let her go through the morning process and then uh we're gonna have to get the calf and probably bury it unfortunately somewhere else but uh doc said to go ahead and let her go through the morning of it of her losing the calf on this being our first calf we've ever lost ever so um meanwhile ones trying to get up over here amazing to see a lot of birth of this and uh and then how quick these guys can get up it's been about 10 minutes and little calf's trying to get up and we'll be up very soon so but um we'll take care of bellstar's baby I'll probably give her the night and then we'll come back in the morning we just don't want the coyotes to get after it or stray dogs or something so I think it deserves a Proper Burial so we'll do that get her taken care of and in the meantime we're gonna make sure peaches is okay here the calf looks like it's doing good still trying to get up so we'll get some of that footage for you guys okay well the bad part is um besides losing a calf my drone died because I tried to film as long as I could right over there right behind where she just had the calf so I think that drone's gonna be there just for a little while and um we'll get it later I think so far Mama peaches is doing good taking care of little calf I'm gonna give him some time so I'm gonna leave them alone and drive back over here check WellStar and a calf dang it all right no no mama I'm sorry I'll leave you alone
