what's up guys the time has come to react to speak now Taylor's version I probably should have done it right when it came out but I'm only just now having time to film it and I think I'm just gonna do like a part one and a part two so today will be the first half of the album because it's really long this video is going to be different than every other Taylor Swift video I made so far because speak now used to be my jam like back when I was a tween I guess today is literally just going to be me reacquainting myself with this album because yeah at the end of the day it's like a pop rock album and I'm a pop rock girly let's get into it the first song on the album is mine [Music] it's my turn to be sentimental it's my turn [Music] College working part-time waiting tables left a small town never looked back I was a flight risk with a fear falling wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] singing the backing vocals I remember that from the original song this song hits for me I've been I swear I've not listened to the song in years why is it like making me emotional okay here we go I forgot about this part everything is [Music] [Applause] [Music] you took the impossible [Music] you say I remember how we felt sitting by the water and every time I look at you it's like the first song [Music] why is that the best Taylor Swift song I've ever heard and it's literally one I've heard before I love everything about it the storytelling I think it's hitting because y'all I listened to this album when I was 12. when did it come out 11. I did not know like hearing the lyrics as an adult who actually has experienced a little bit of life a little bit and I'm actually processing the lyrics completely different experience that song made me so happy I'm like maybe gonna tear up that wasn't even like my favorite song on the album when I was a kid and I think my favorite song on the album when I was a kid was Sparks Fly and Enchanted I think those are my two favorites okay this is gonna be a long video hit me with those green eyes baby while the whites go down the next song is fart slime oh okay that sounds kind of different I feel always skipped it though like this beginning part I want to click skip like out like as if it's on a CD player like that's what I did when I was 11 I would sip it guys I'm sorry I'm so glad you made reason because like 11 year old me would have like just taken the song very differently like this feels like a kid's song listening to it now [Music] hands all eyes horrified looks from everyone in the room but I'm only looking at you I am not the kind of girl I guess it just sounds more of like well obviously like immature like you know like it sounds like something you would write when you were younger it like reminds me of songs that I wrote when I was like a kid but like when I was a kid I don't think I like realized that so like now it's like hitting me I was just a silly little tale like and this kind of stuff doesn't actually happen in real life I guess I'm like realizing that right now dear John is the next song I feel like I liked this song it's a slower one but [Music] it's the lyrics in that song also that song is six and a half minutes long what so remember it being that long that's wild dang she like really took you through the whole relationship the next song is mean I used to like this song this is gonna be another one where like it's gonna be weird listening to it as an adult because it's such a kitty sounding song I mean she was she wasn't a kid when she wrote This Album though if she's like 10 years older than me ish and I was 11 when this came out she probably wrote the songs when she was like 20 or like maybe 1918 but I need to listen to the lyrics again lot as a kid and like the concept of the song I really feel like has stuck with me my entire life like I'm not even being dramatic like I do feel like I thought about this song A lot like in high school and sometimes I still feel like the lyrics come to me I actually feel like the song like impacted the way I viewed like bullies and stuff in high school even though I haven't listened to it in a long time like I remember the song and it stuck with me the story of us this one's gonna be at my alley I still can't remember how it goes but give it aside [Music] got it got it yes [Music] [Music] [Music] me yeah next chapter the next chapter this is looking like a contest [Music] [Music] advice [Music] [Music] my gosh it's what they're saying mix what the heck hello hello there was like a hello that was so weird it makes feeling what is happening it's like my sinuses are like vibrating okay I'm just gonna try to ignore it mixed feelings about that song it's a pop rock song so I automatically like it more I don't know I guess it also feels like more immature to me well obviously because she's saying stuff like next chapter so it was just like weird hearing it as an adult and like especially compared to some of her more recent music like it's it is kind of crazy seeing how she's like grown as a songwriter I am noticing like specific words where I'm like oh I like how she's saying that compared to the original song or like specific phrases that she sings a certain way that are standing out to me I just by the time the song is over I'm like forgetting what they are so that's why I'm not pointing them out but I am noticing like a little differences she sounds really good though she's like killing it and I'm curious what her experiences like re-recording some of these songs like was it funny to her recording like next chapter you know or like the songs that are like painful like Dear John like that seems painful to re-record oh I also wanted to comment I felt like that song also like wasn't mixed very well I don't know I feel like her vocals just sound really separate from the background music especially with that song it didn't sound like they were like mixed into the song very well it's not like they were like sitting on top I don't know y'all okay the next song is Never Grow Up this is a really slow song and I straight up never listened to it as a kid but I honestly don't even know what the song is about so let's give it a chance I straight up always skipped the song when I was a kid oh darling did she ever grow up and never grow up that's how have come with the trigger warning the whole first half of the song I was like oh this is why I didn't care about this as a kid like she's literally speaking to like young people telling them to like memorize what it's like being a kid and I heard that as a kid and was like this song is boring okay the rest of the song though okay I actually can't even talk about it I am very fragile right now I need to move on like the sun is going to set the next song is probably the one I'm most excited for or one of them it's Enchanted I feel like this is definitely like one of my favorite songs when the album as a kid and I've listened to it since then and I'm excited to hear Taylor's version oh no [Music] there I was again tonight forcing laughter faking Smiles same old tight lonely place of insincerity shifting eyes and vacancy vanished when I saw your face all I can say is it was enchanting to me you [Music] start to make its way to me as I was enchanted to meet you [Music] [Music] [Music] I'm realizing I have no idea what the words are to this song I think that's like sorry pausing it I think she said she uses a lot of big words in the song and my little brain just zoned out when she spoke and I also can't understand what she's saying in the chorus afraid until soon [Music] where are you [Music] [Music] dang no lyric can match the raw emotion that is in please don't be in love with someone else please don't have someone waiting on you unmatched period it's such a good lyric I never knew that in the chorus she was saying I'm Wonder struck I don't know what I thought she said didn't know that that's what she said I don't know if I knew that was a word beautiful and it feels so magical all the clips I see of her performing it live I want to be a part of that so I'm going to wrap it up today with better than revenge I don't know what she changes that one lyric to I do know the song goes really hard though and I'm excited to listen to it for the first time just stand in the corner and think about what you did song open that is Iconic she's looking faster than you could say sabotage [Music] she underestimated just who she was stealing from [Music] he was a moth to the Flames she was holding the matches I mean okay [Music] is a little strong thinks I'm psycho cause I like to wrap her name with things together they sabotage dude that song is sinister sinister okay sorry you were just asking if I'm getting dinner yeah okay dude first of all that song goes so hard second of all Sinister oh my gosh I understand why she changed that one line but I do think it's funny that she's like I don't want to call a woman a you know what I'm saying but I am okay with calling a man a toy objectifying the man the entire song like it is funny I love that song it's messed up but like I don't know I mean Taylor's still re-recorded it so okay so by far my faves so far and this might end up being my favorite these might end up being my favorite on the whole album mine Sparks Fly Enchanted better than revenge living for it we'll speak now end up being my favorite Taylor album Maybe it's up there for me right now subscribe if you're not already let me know
