It was originally specifically composed for Gladiator. As it has become a major 'hit', it may have been used in other places (similar cases abound, even in documentary films using Gerrard and/or Zimmer works that are completely unrelated to their original use).
At least I could not find concrete references to it in other official uses, but I'd find it highly likely that others used it as background music etc. - not to speak of the many instrumental and other cover versions,
I'm pretty sure it was used at the end of Man on Fire. Don't quote me on that but I remember there being some Gladiator track in it at least.
