everything you do you show such kindness patience and generosity and I'm constantly in awe of your unwavering commitment to God your faith inspires me it pushes me to be a better person and a better servant to Christ and obviously the best wife and future mother I can be I know that your faith will continue to guide us as we embark on this new Journey as husband and wife may your commitment and Faith to Christ always be a source of inspiration for those around you your family friends and our new family together the way you live out your faith with such passion and sincerity is a testament to your character your love for God and God's love for you so as we join together in marriage I vow to be a supportive wife a partner in every sense of God's purpose for a partner and to Stand By Your Side through thick and thin your patience kindness calm Spirit mind and heart has always been a constant source of refuge and comfort for me you've always been my number one supporter and cheerleader pushing me to be the best version of myself even when I don't see it your love is so patient so kind so forgiving and so peaceful your love and encouragement is a consistent reminder that I'm capable of doing anything even beating all of my anxious thoughts so even though this is a point of contention between us I admire how you never hesitate to put others before yourself your selflessness and devotion have made me a better person and I vow to spend the rest of my life showing you the same kind of love and support that you've given me I can only imagine how amazing of a father you will be your compassion and Devotion to family will inspire our children to be the best version of themselves remind them that they are capable of anything and strive to make them better human beings and Servants of God just as you've done for me so I vow to support you as we raise our future family to be your partner and help in all things and to Stand By Your Side through all of life's ups and downs I vowed to be the wife God has destined me to be for you and the best wife that I can be upholding the values of T and teachings of the word and living out our love in a way that will always honor God first I vow to continue to walk hand in hand with you in our journey with Christ as much as we disagree on so many things and fight about other things you always force me to think outside the box and the norm you always take me out my comfort zone you push me and make me uncomfortable in the most comfortable ways possible and somehow I let you because I know that I'm always safe with you I've always been a person that keeps to herself but with you everything has come natural and so when I look at you I'm reminded of how you've shown me that your love for me is a reflection of God's love for us and may our love always always illustrate that I know that with our faith and commitment to God our love and this marriage I know that we can overcome any challenge that comes our way I love you more than words can express and I love you with all of my heart I've also always be your confident your friend and your partner and I will always be here to listen to love and to support you and most importantly I vow to be the wife that God has called me to be to love and to honor you to cherish our marriage and to put Christ at the center in everything that we do I know that we will continue to create a beautiful life together filled with love laughter and joy like we have for the past seven years and I'm forever grateful to God for the gift of your love in my life so today I give you my heart wow um wow um the hardest part for making these vows was trying to find out where to start I'm going to first start by thanking everyone here today to my brothers in Alpha and all our friends that came to see Linda I on this big day you all have witnessed the relationship that Linda and I have grown through the years and now today you're here witnessing as we say I do so I thank you all for being there throughout our journey and even being here today I want to thank Linda's family for making this beautiful intelligent woman that is before us today I thank you all for the love that you have poured into her and the love you all bring with you on this day when there's a mom and dad you have created my other half and for that I will always love and cherish you to my family for supporting me in this next chapter of my life I love you all so much it truly takes a village to raise a child upright I have my grandparents my aunts my uncles sisters godmothers cousins neighbors to guide me and I'm truly a product of their love and the village that surrounded me to my mom is fitting that you would be right behind me as I take this next step you have always been in the corner you've always been in the corner of my entire life as you always said to me Diane know that I got your back no matter what and throughout my life you have always been there for me pushing me encouraging me protecting me loving me and truly believing in me it's funny anytime I call my mom about something that's coming up whether it's me applying for my Master's a new job you know business idea she always supported and spoke life into my actions um she would hit me with one of her signature while dieting you know you got that as soon as you put your mind to it you'll get it no matter what it is baby you got it and then on top of that she will proceed to have a whole conversation about what's the next step as if I already got the role or the job I'm like I didn't even get it yet um but it just truly shows your faith your spirit um that is so Monumental for me and I truly love you so much you have always been my biggest supporter throughout my life and thank you once again for being in my corner as I make this vow to my beautiful beautiful bride today but like we said yesterday Mom I love you but I love Linda Moore now to my bride Linda I'm so excited and happy to be marrying you to finally stand up here before God and everyone in this room as we make a lifelong commitment it's truly a feeling that I haven't experienced ever in my life I really really love you babe from the bottom of my heart and I know Linda's love language is words of affirmation so I have to come correct with these vows so first Linda to answer that question you asked me two to three times a week randomly out of nowhere Dean do you love me yes I'm gonna stand in front of everyone and say Yes unequivocally yes and the next question after that Dean why do you love me and truthfully babe I've always just been drawn to you I said it before my very first day at Emory walk into the bookstore with my family something in my body had to shout and say hi to you from across the street that's not that night afterwards we set an allowance and talked all night long literally about any and everything I got to know what your favorite pizza was you got to know where the best cheesesteak was in Philly and that one day I would take you there to get it throughout the time that you've seen me grow you have always had my back you watch me grow from being on campus to this man that you see before you and I watch you grow into the woman that you are before me now you've been there for me through the joyous moments of my life and all of the milestones and through my imperfections you've been my constant and I know that same spirit that was in me when I yelled across the street will continue in me for all our days to come I feel amazing now but I'm going to feel amazing 10 20 30 40 50. keep going and as I stand here before you I vow to be a husband who will always be there for you I will be your rock your supporter and your constant companion I promise to work tirelessly to not just be the best husband but be the best husband for Linda although I think I'm already your best friend I promise to be your bestest best friend if Dean is ever too busy if Dean is ever too busy or my attention is there his attention is somewhere else then I promise the Aldine will be right there with his durag on with a cup of tea ready to listen and pour into his bestie um I vow to not only listen but to communicate and always keep it 100 with you and how we both live out the rest of our days I want the Whitakers Whitakers to uphold the standard that we are honoring God we are honoring each other and an overall example of what marriage looks like when you put God first in all things on that same thread I also vow to push you to be the best lender possible the best servant of God possible the best wife the best mom the best grandma the best great grandma keep it going keep it going basically what I'm trying to say is that I'm always going to want what's best for you and age you to be the strongest beautiful intelligent woman of God that I know you are and that stands before us today for Ephesians chapter 5 verse 28 says that a husband ought to love their wife as they love their own bodies for he that loves his wife loves himself you know I love that verse because after this day I promise to always be locked in with you always going to believe in your dreams and your aspirations I will be your teammate your cheerleader your motivator and your sounding board I promise to love you on this day and all days to come I love you babe dearly beloved and the old thing Yasir Whitaker and the union of marriage this contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously and with the Deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities and now
