Lily-Rose Depp's Favorite French Phrase, Her Style Icons & Celebrity Crush | Ask Me Anything | ELLE

- Is it messed up to call him a possession? He's alive, but it's my cat. Hi, I'm Lily Rose Depp and today I'm gonna let Elle ask me anything. (upbeat music) My favorite, I really love night shoots. And so my favorite shoots are when we're shooting nights and everybody's there. Like we have a really fun cast and everybody like loves each other so much. So when we're shooting nights and everybody's there it feels like a big like slumber party. So those are my favorite memories. (upbeat music) Another passion of mine outside of acting is cooking. I love cooking and me and my friends love getting together to cook dinner and try out new recipes and stuff. And I really like pottery as well. Like ceramics. I used to do ceramics in high school. I don't have a wheel at my house unfortunately but I do, I'll make pottery with my hand, I'll do little hand pottery and stuff like that. (upbeat music) This amazing Chanel 92 gown that I wore to the Met Ball a couple years ago. It's black with all these amazing gold chains and I just love that dress so much. (upbeat music) My favorite French phrase is (speaks French) which means, it literally translates to there's an eel under the rocks and it basically means there's something fishy going on. Like there might be a bad surprise to come or like, I'm explaining it badly, but like it kind of means something's not right here. (upbeat music) Leonard Whiting from Romeo and Juliet, the Zeffirelli '60s one. I just remember watching that when I was really little and being like, "Romeo." (upbeat music) My fashion icon is my mom and Carrie Bradshaw and all the cool French It girls like Brigitte Bardot and like Jane Birkin and everybody. I think a really good piece of fashion advice that you can learn from those women is just to care, I think, a little bit less about what you're wearing and just be a little, you know, a little cooler about it. (upbeat music) My most prize possession is my cat but is it messed up to call him a possession? He's alive but it's my cat. So my cat. Other than my cat, maybe my diary? Yeah, my diary or things that I own that belong to my mom or my grandma. Like pieces of clothing or little things or letters from my mom. (upbeat music) I don't know if I could say that I relate to her because the story is so abstract, but one of my favorite movies ever is "Peau d'âne" with Catherine Deneuve. Catherine Deneuve. And it's like this incredible really fantastical, surreal princess story. And I don't know how much I relate to her but I've just loved her so much since I was a little girl that she's my favorite fictional character ever. (upbeat music) My favorite comfort meal is tacos or burritos. I grew up in LA so there's so much amazing Mexican food here. So that's what makes me feel solid and at home. (upbeat music) I look up to so many people but I would have to say the women in my life, like my mom and my grandmother and my aunt and just the incredible female friends that I have and everything and just the women that have really shaped the kind of woman that I would like to become. Those are the the people that I look up to the most. (upbeat music) Three things that I can't live without. It's so hard 'cause it's so vague. There's so many different realms of things that I could pick from but I would say fresh air. I can't live without fresh air. I think I would go really stir crazy. So fresh air, sunshine, a good book, honestly, because I just feel like my life feels so much smaller when I don't have a great other world that I can dive into. And lip liner.
