[Music] this lewis winch if you're brand new this is my answer to hauling logs out of the woods and probably various other things like stuck equipment when that happens this thing hooks to a chainsaw and with the cable on here it pulls and pulls and pulls well you guys would have seen it rigged up there in one of my more recent videos my husky chainsaw the 555 is a 4.3 horsepower uh unit hooked up to this it pulled no problem it pulled logs did all that type of stuff i didn't really have an issue what i did have an issue with was the bar that hooked this to the chainsaw didn't really like it it made it a little well it made it long but it also made it a little flimsy at least in my opinion i could maybe see in the in the future me bumping it bending it whatever what i did was i basically fed into one of my addictions and i bought this guy what's in this box uh and if you own one of these you might recognize this box but what's in this box is going to help my lewis winch and it's going to free up my husky 555 for doing what it does best and that's cutting wood as you guys can imagine this is a new chainsaw now you guys know what addiction is right and i think i'm addicted to coffee chainsaws might be the newest addiction okay guys i just cut into this a moment ago and if you guys have seen one of these before you're probably gonna start to recognize some of the parts there's the handle on the new saw there is uh there's the fuel tank that's pretty much made out of the same stuff that your washer fluid comes in i don't think i'll be using that got all the filler here for protection let's hope the saw is protected and if you guys recognize the color you know exactly what the brand is and there it is there now see if i can pronounce it correctly hull's forma i get that right there's the owner's manual i don't even know what's in here i've never looked in here so let's have a look-see hull's forma g660 okay we went with a big unit well it's at least big compared with my husqvarna the 555 as i mentioned it's a 4.3 horsepower 59 point some odd cc so it is definitely smaller than this unit this thing is what they say is give or take seven horsepower i think 92cc good thing i'm noticing is it's wrapped up well let's hope it uh made the trek here and still in is as good a shape as it was when it left my first impressions with this boy this is the biggest saw i've ever had nice and shiny to start it's got a little smell to it i don't know what that is oil of some sort well there it is you guys see that unit there [Music] tags are on it now if you've not seen this before this is a replica if i'm not mistaken of the steel o66 i think now i am not familiar with steel saws that much i do have one real small steel saw but i don't use it and you guys probably haven't seen it on the channel what you have seen is this guy this guy was being used yesterday hence why it's so dirty and this was being used when the snow machine ended up meeting a tree with the box on the back this is my workhorse here this 555 by by husqvarna this thing's the auto-tune version this is a great unit this thing starts every single time in whatever temperature condition i can ask it to this thing as you can tell well that's a lot smaller this thing what i say 92cc this thing like 59cc so we're moving up the ladder here let's get this baby back first thing i can tell you with this thing well it's blue it's shiny and it looks like a chainsaw second thing i can tell you this handle was the first thing i pulled out of the box i am afraid i'm going to bend it by looking at it this thing when i just held my husky it doesn't even feel like a handle in comparison regardless you can always replace that if it bends other things i'm seeing here well as i mentioned it looks like a chainsaw i really can't tell you anything else it uh it feels pretty good it looks pretty good to start i don't see anything that's gonna break on it like i think that handle is going to i think uh there's been a little film of oil applied to certain things because i can get a little whiff of it here put that back in there as i mentioned i i don't have experience with steel saws very much certainly not a saw like this and so this is going to be brand new to me from what i understand all the parts here are interchangeable with official steel parts so if something breaks i know many of you just go ahead and and replace it with um with the official steel part which is kind of weird i'm used to having the the fuel sort of stay there i thought there was a thing on the end there down in there maybe not anyways let's get that back so far so good uh i have seen online before where people open their saw up and it's damaged knock on wood i don't see any yet get the air cleaner into view here it's good to me well so far so good nothing uh nothing obvious is sticking out to me feels like it's gonna be a decent machine anyways as i was saying this thing is going to spend its life on my winch and why did i get a separate uh chainsaw for a winch wall here's the deal that husqvarna performs so well and it's so light in my hands and nimble that i really like cutting with it it's size is perfect for everything i've got around here this is overkill for me unless one of the massive white pines fall down and then i'm gonna cut it up with this so i figured get as big a saw as i can to go on here without getting above seven horsepower because that's what lewis winch suggests as their maximum size i'm gonna mount this to here i will no longer have to use this thing in order to mount my husqvarna to the lewis winch the lewis winch on the husqvarna it doesn't fit without this which is a universal adapter because the husqvarna has an outbound clutch or a board clutch the clutch is outside the sprocket which is close to the engine here the direct contrast to the husqvarna which uh oh yeah it's nice and loose already did you guys hear that went did i literally just drop it down where the blade is serves me right anyways as you guys can see here the clutch is on the inside as compared with the husqvarna so this is going to mount directly to the lewis winch and therefore it won't be quite as long and i think it'll be a little less cumbersome and more manageable anyways i'm going to get this taken off have one more good look at it and then we'll sort of mock it up to the lewis winch and you guys can get a good look at what it's going to operate like if you guys don't have one of these you need one i assure you oh yeah well here's what you're getting that's all that's in there that's your scrunch as i like to call it what's that a torx bit got a little flathead screwdriver and i'm assuming these are for installing the handle which is what i'm looking for and just like any uh anyone out there i'm gonna read the manual yeah right eh i'm just kidding i like to read it quite a bit but uh sometimes i like to read it after i screw things up oh yeah those things i don't even know if i'm gonna install it since i'm just putting it on my winch but uh yeah there you go it's nice that it's bagged separately so i don't get it mixed up with that hardware i think that's all there is okay i got it with the loose winch instructions i'm not that proud i don't mind looking stuff up let's get this flipped over according to the instructions i got to remove what do they call it the spring clip i think that's what this is and it's funny because a moment ago i thought to myself i think that spring clip's gonna go flying and then the next moment i didn't put my hand there and all of a sudden it's over there i guess i'm gonna go dig that out be right back success okay don't do that again and what i gotta do now i gotta take off this what do they call that large washer i take off my sprocket and what's that a 3 8 7 tooth i take it looks like it and what i'm going to do next i'm gonna put this clip back there we go okay now i think it's a matter of using the washers that are included or the spacers rather from lewis winch and seeing what fits here and let's just hope one of them does right now it's either going to be this one or one of these one of these three i'm having a feeling this one looks like it's can go either way that's feeling good like that's gonna fit like so okay and this which has these three three bolts this attaches to that and then this can slide over the shaft going into the lewis winch at least that's the uh that's the idea before i forget as it mentions in the manual let's throw some loctite on here this success okay now this might be a bit of a struggle i gotta get these bar nuts down in there on earth is that gonna work all right fingers don't fail me now i'm going to tackle this one oh gosh how'd they do it come on come on come on come on get on there don't you dare oh look at that that's a magician right there bottle up that lock and take take it somewhere for later okay let's hope i didn't forget to put put a part on here anyways let's just button her up enough and you guys can sort of see what we're dealing with here as you can tell it's sort of sort of close quarters probably don't want to be doing this every day all right guys let's have a look at that i think this is what this is what they're talking about when they talk about mounting up a nice big chainsaw to the lewis winch i think this is going to be a lot more effective than what i had before you can certainly tell it's not cumbersome it's nice and tight to the back of the winch and look how much further forward it is buttoned up nice and tight in there as well although that was a little bit of a struggle getting the bar nuts on there definitely wasn't a big deal just on that note with bar nuts uh lewis winch suggests you put a bit of loctite on it so the nuts don't rattle loose once this thing gets going they say it is going to vibrate quite a bit which pretty big saw solid steel object you can just about imagine this lewis winch here i made one addition or one uh change to it since you guys would have seen it in action i cut the cable basically in half i have about 75 feet here of cable 150 feet was just getting bound up in there and endless bird's nest and i was done with that so i cut it down i think that is going to be the ticket you'll also notice i got rid of the hook it came with and i put this old jobby on here this hook will grab on to a chain which i end up using for the choker on my logs so that's gonna work for that i also put a bungee on here just to put a bit of tension on the spool here so it doesn't freewheel i just don't have it on here obviously but i think this is gonna turn out to be real nice you guys get a good look around there nice and close i am gonna have to take this off the lewis winch here shortly because i need to do the break-in for the saw here and so uh i didn't torque everything down how i'm gonna have it permanently but it's at the very least it's how it's gonna be for now all right first impression of this host varna holsparna hulse forma g660 is this is one honking saw let's put it up here beside my 555 again and uh the 555 just overall it's a little more sleek than this thing very very high here i'm not used to that definitely a big handle on it compared to what i'm used to overall the handle is probably the cheapest thing i can find on this saw i don't see anything else quite obvious or sticking out obviously that's going to going to think it's going to break immediately it is a little bit it's a little bit cheaper in some places just the feeling like the handle you guys can see a flex in there my husqvarna feels a bit a bit more sturdy there um the handle as i mentioned this feels pretty good just when i grab onto the onto the husky here it just feels like it's it's i don't know it's a little stiffer a little little beefier built a little bit better that's sort of the reality that's what you get when you buy a cheap saw this saw is a fraction of the cost of this saw i expect my 555 husky to outlive this by a lot but time will tell i'm hoping it turns out to be good value but you know you'll never know till you get it into the bush this is my new winching setup this thing i hope to stand the test of time i know this lewis winch is solid i'm just hoping that this 660 is equally as solid i know it's got some horsepower here i got to disconnect it break it in but then we'll be out to the bush in no time and hauling logs guys i appreciate you watching if you're brand new here welcome aboard if you're not brand new well welcome back and for everyone see you next time [Music]
